Just as much as anyone here I have the right to vent my experience regarding this matter without being insulted, called a liar and so on. I've been polite and resectful towards you. I have never stated that it's safe to bot, I merely pointed out that you hardly hear good news. Thats human nature.
 
Since there is no response from any of devs,best thing we can do is stop ore/herb farming and wait.
 
I believe players are reporting each other. Why? The 10% that I am shopping enemy attacks and my bot just keep going back and fighting back nonstop.
When I watch my bot and there are no other players attacking it, it does fine.
 
At this point I am just stepping away from this thread. Frankly the mods should lock this crap. Apparently those who do NOT believe the bot is detectable are not allowed to have an opinion on the matter. They will just be insulted and cursed at.

Do whatever you want.. frankly it doesn't affect me in any way.
 
Got a 72 final warning now :( maybe they perm ban it. ive botted for 3 years with absolutly no ban before

IF you got a 72 hr then your fine just have to wait 3 days to play. Mine was a final warning and a 72 hour ban. Its safe to say lay low for a couple days or weeks i know i am
 
Whether or not HB is detectable remains to be seen, but there are some things that haven't been mentioned (as far as I know) that could actually be relevant and might explain the sudden increase in bans without Blizzard actually having to change much.

Mining and herbing are the core professions in the game atm for all sorts of things from xmutes to inks, the 40 trillium bars you need for the legendary quest chain and also the new Lightning Steel for BS.

With everyone running around the Isle of Thunder doing the dailies and LFR raids to get their ilvl 522 gear, don't think the population in the rest of Pandaland is too high and so any botters might stick out like a sore thumb...

Hmmm 3 pages of ghost iron bars on AH - might be worth looking at this account to see what his playing pattern is...

Not too much like rocket science is it?

Lots of stuff in this thread, with frankly a lot of people applying specific scenarios to everything.

Can you run GB2 even 8/7? Maybe not. I certainly wouldn't.

Can you run a business now using HB? Maybe not, I haven't tried, and don't intend to. It certainly seems like a basic idea of multiple accounts that just gather and sell would be a bad plan, and I don't know how much work would be involved in making acceptable amounts of money using other ideas, or mixing in enough 'unprofitable' type botting to mix things up.

Does the inability to gather 8+ hrs per day and therefore run a business making gold from botting mean that all botting is unsafe? I doubt it. Maybe it just means that botting professionally is now unsafe.

If I had a friend who wanted to bot a bit to get a bit of extra gold, or level an alt or something, I'd certainly recommend HB. If someone was thinking they'd start generating some alternate income from botting...yeah I'd probably recommend against it right now.

The issue with this thread is its applying the risks of professional botting to all botting.
 
Want to hear something funny. I lost 2 accounts last 2 days so I logged on an account a friend passed on to me from work that he did not want to play any longer. Started up a new toon. Ran Cavas grinding and questing profiles to lvl 20 and BOOM right in Wailing caverns my Latency goes to 950 ms and computer freezes with a dc. Restart router log back in within 2 min BANHAMMER ACCOUNT CLOSED lol. Prove to me HB is not detectable and I'll kiss my own ass. Watched all levels was in front of the pc entire time even when the hammer was dropped. So all of you guys out there talking shit about this forum being BS, your days coming keep on playing.

I used to do everything wow... dps hacks back in BC, teleport hacks in wrath/cata, and beginning of MOP..
almost botted 24/7 unless i needed my pc for something else.

everything was fine for like the last 5 to 7 years... until Jan 2013... final warning.
quit playing... April perma ban. <3
 
Got banned using GB2 last night, the sell price of Ghost Iron Ore was too tempting, and I should have known better, bye bye 5 year old account, you shall be remembered :'(
 
Well i got hit too by a 72 hour suspension on one account but im pretty sure that sometimes blizz is shooting in the dark as the email said i violated some tos because of my name and they suspended without a warning. On the appeal they said i abused game mechanics in bgs. Well never used hb on bgs, i just made a bg yesterday by hand, so some people are suffering colateral damage. Let see how it goes...

not so sure if this is true i got 4 accs banned around 18th i think when everyone got hit. and then i had cata bots running for testing and got 1/3 banned.

So im not so sure bout the IP flagged thing. But who knows...
 
face the facts - this guy is giving the child only a name - botting in wow is done atm - maybe forever!
