Important - You cant bot RIGHT NOW (Banchance is 50-75%)

One thing we all know for sure is that there is a huge amount of bans going out right now. Some might call it a wave and others might just call it more than usual. I know one thing for sure is that something is up and I'm not willing to test my luck with anymore accounts until this blows over. We know Kicks, GB2 and BG Bot are heavy targets at the moment and thats a fact. Its your choice to run or not and we all know at anytime an account can be tossed out the window and HB has never denied that. This is a forum and is intended to inform people about the good and the bad. If you don't like someones opinion you don't have to read any further. All in all we would like some feedback from the professionals here at HB as to what they think. Is that too much to ask?

I am sorry I hear alot of QQ QQQ QQQQQQQQQQQQQ in this thread.

IMO there are several things that legitly make it super easy to get banned now and in no way are the Dev's fault.

!. Bliz made it super easy to report people now for cheating. They just right click a persons name , report / cheating. 3 reports auto ban by warden and you have to let a GM review your Account.
2. THE AVG PVP ER KNOWS ABOUT BOTS NOW.... They seem to hate them very much ... if you bg you get banned because they hate what your doing and most bots start path is the exact same... Also ... Bots are bots ... They do dumb things no human would do and at the same time ... they play alittle too good and snipe kills.

3. Problem with Kicks IMO is like stated .. it flat gets stuck on some things... I have used it many many times and i know what zone to watch out for ... but yea... it's super easy to just see a person running into said log over and over ... or look at the pile of bones to know ... hey your botting. Also .. when using kicks on a high pop server . I always see others using it too.

4. with GB. when ppl say bot smart. I feel they mainly mean a few things... 1 don't ninja node. use random hot spot and bounce fly pat. I feel just setting thoes few things eliminates so much head ache.

5... there is no ban wave just flagged accounts getting taken down or you getting reported. I lost multi accounts but im lv 90 again ... go fig.

keep in mind that HB is a BUISNESS for the mods and devs here, when they say "HB is as safe as usual" they do it just beacause they dont want to people to be afraid and buy their bots. You will never see McDonalds yell that they put shit in their burger even if they know they have done it.

There is obviously a problem of detection with the bot (or the environement), I juste hope the devs/mods dont lie to themselves and are well aware of the problem and solve it fast.

And yeah ... when some people come here and says "I bot 12h/day never had a problem you dont know how to bot" just dont listen to them, welcome to the internet world of liers

This story has 2 sides. Keep in mind that you ALWAYS hear the bad, and close to never hear the good. Look at the news on TV, most of it is "bad". Its too easy to talk in percentages of banpossibility without knowing how many people are unaffected.

I do agree that botting gets a bit more risky, but you guys are exaggerating.

For instance, I am still going strong with 12 bots, no bans for MONTHs.

And are we talking about MOP bots? Im pretty sure we are not.

Maybe its lowlvl toons that are on the way to 80 or something.

#2 Yes.. I am botting. I've been botting for about 8-10 hours a day. No problems here.
#3 Keep claiming the chance is 50% to 75% as if you know this for fact. Please show us how you arrived at this number if you are so spot on.
#4 This is not my first account here. And as I've stated, prior to HB I used Glider, Pirox, WowBot and god knows how many others. You certainly do make assumptions don't you...
#5 I run ONE bot. I'm not gold farming. I am using it for personal reasons. Never sold gold once.

The 50%-75% is that obv 25% are that blizz cant ban everyone.
But imagine i start 20 bots right now in Mop with GB2. Do you think more than 13 will survive after 3-4 days? No right? So therefore you have 50% --> up to 100%

I'm Botting 6 Toons right now, with Years of botting time, Botted around 30 Chars 1-90. I started with Glider and never got any bann till now.
I keep botting while writing with Gamemasters. The only problem is that you just do stupid things like hours of botting on same location. Do Quests for 10 Hours a day for 2 Weeks and so on. Why you don't giving Names to the toons like: herbbot, orebot, Questbot, Dungeonbot and so on?

Just be smart, then you are 99% save.

I have a programming job that pays very well. I don't need to sell gold to make a few bucks. If others want to, great. More power to you. And yes, at one point I did have 15 bots running. Because I did want to farm gold to sell. But in the end, for me, it was too much a pain in the ass. HB really needs to be monitored. It's not 100% AFK'able. I will totally agree that if you just click start and walk away, SOMETHING is going to break. And in the sense of farming gold, you pretty much need to do it afk. So in a sense, yeah.. I will agree that it doesn't work well right now. But to say that your GOING to get banned for it.. I don't agree with that.. Sorry...

Is using GB2 safe right now? NO! Obviously it is not because people are getting nailed using it. Does that mean it is DETECTED and your going to instantly get banned? NO!!! The risk is indeed higher (obviously because otherwise there wouldnt be such an increase in bans), but indeed that has nothing to do with software detection, but indeed other ways of detecting ppl that bot in general. Of all the posts about this which I've read, you seem to be the only one saying something that makes sense and is very probable.

Besides, if you got the skills to build a memory pointer based bot, then yes, I'll take your word on this over anyone random at the forum.
So if they (the devs, not some mods) say the bot is not detected, then for me, the bot is not detected. This does not mean the ban chance is not higher!
People seem to confuse these completely different matters constantly.

On a side note:
The mods could've bothered explaining it like this rather then just saying "the bot is not detectable, its 100% safe" which in essence is true if you talk about software detection, but they should know this will confuse alot of members, like I just pointed out.

That is exactly what I'm saying.
It's probably more dangerous to bot right now, otherwise there wouldn't be an increase in bans. So if you don't want to risk it, then stop doing it now.
But some people keep going about it like it must be because of software detection, which is b.s.
The only ones to blame is the community itself, being greedy and careless for extended periods of time, and so obvious and bold that the entire wow community got upset about it and forcing blizzard to act.
Tbh if 2 months ago you were questing somewhere at 3 AM in the night it would be full of GB2 users and the AH is flooded with AH botters. lol come on.
Now everyone cries because blizz is acting aggressively.

Ever read the wow forums? I barely do, and when I do because I need to wait for a bit for whatever reasons at work then all I see is complaints about botters.

So yeah, I highly doubt the bot is detectable, but rather certain patterns that is probably recognized by some server side software at blizzard. They're not stupid, if I were to investigate as a blizz staff member then I'd get a copy of the bot and study its behaviours, then write software to recognize people doing those behaviours, then flag the account for review by a GM.
Or even auto ban.

50-75% who use GB2 are getting banned yes. Go ahead and try it out and prove me wrong. Mop GB2 for 4-8h for 4 days as u said.
