Gold Missing on Suspended Account

Just be grateful that you're even getting your account back. Pathetic is that you're complainging about 200k. That is a drop in the bucket; I am out over 4mil which most of earned by legitimately flipping TCG mounts before all the dupes. This wasn't a QQ thread about losing gold, but just an observation that I noticed and wondered if others saw the same as well. It sucks but I am happy to at least be getting my account back, just wish I they would've left me enough to even take a damn flightpath.

Again, 200k might be nothing for you, it's a lot for other people. Some people have a way to make gold, some don't. Some have a way to pet battle, some don't. Some have a way to PVP, some don't..etc etc..
I'm also happy to get my account back, as i've said previously.

But as I've said, the gold removal is stupid because they could have removed everything, literally everything with the same "argument" some people are bringing up.
They could just hand you your account back with all chars lvl 1, all prof erased, all bags cleared, all titles removed, everything. But hey, at least you would still be getting your account back, right? No...
It's just that by doing it with the gold will be profitable to them.

In all honesty, i don't even know why i'm bothering to reply to your posts...you're just the dude with the "someone is following me" complex of the forum... you always seem to have something to say about everything...

I don't recall bashing any1 out. But i also can't stand when people read a post and choose to ignore vital parts of it, quote only a small line out of it, or distort things.

Now, for the purpose of merely talking, answer me something Webhound (or whoever wants to join in and throw in their 2 cents...)
Let's create a random scenario.

Player A
. uses bot for farming gold. Makes zillions out of it.
Gets caught. Has a 6 month ban.
Looses all gold

Player B
. uses bot for farming Reins of Poseidus
Gets caught. Has a 6 month ban.
Looses all gold. Gets to keep Reins of Poseidus.

Player C
. uses the bot for helping him getting some fancy title on RBG
Gets caught. Has a 6 month ban.
Looses all gold. Gets to keep fancy title.

You see the point? The direct consequence of the botting activity is still there! (in B and C case, at least). Which doesn't make any sense! Why the hell should player B and C keep the mount / title, but loose all the gold?
The only reason i can come up with to remove the gold from the players is that is a strategy to generate money (real life money) for Blizz.

Tell me your thoughts on the example above.

I'm pretty surprised at this action. Just seems real random. guess they just hate HB this much by now, with all the endless legal stuff. Actually, I won't believe it till Friday, it may still be limnited to just the online auction interface.

The punishment was the 6 month suspension. The gold removal is arbitrary - some super botter with guild banks and 5 farmers will lose absolutely nothing, and a guy with 10 alts who used the bot for some offpsec in LFR will lose millions. And it has nothing to do with botting gains - lots (maybe MOST) of those gains are not in gold, they are gear from raids, pvp gear and titles, achievements, pets, drops from rares and so on. Many people have alts on different servers and factions from their mains - and that level 70 on a different server that hasn't even been logged into in 2 years ALSO lost whatever gold he had. I mean - not even a copper, you can't even take a flightpath without vendoring shit lol.

So a big FU to everyone here (not even a pretense of "we're removing gains from botting", just a screw you). And of course a money grab, anyone who wants to get going will have to buy a subscription and then probably sell a token just to get that initial 30K.

Luckily for me WoD has killed my interest in the game (and the guild I raided with for years has vanished), so I don't care anymore.

I do see the difference, but i dont get where u want to go.

You / we / they botted... and we got caught, all together.

Blizzard is not going to invest time to find out if it was legit or not.

It depends how they target you, at the end of a season they target all pvp titles. If it was clear u got it
in a *****ing way, its removed.

They just targetted us as a whole and gave us all same punishment.

We have one common factor, we all botted. So we all get the same treatment.

I have an account banned with PQR, it has gold on it still on armory. That ban is nearly 2 years old. My account from this banwave has 0g 0s 0c on all toons.

Quite a few where banned before the 13th. Got some m8es, the same thing, all
gold gone.

Well, if any of this is true and my meager ~300k are gone. I am done with WoW. If I can't token back into it I wont get back into it at all. Which is a shame, been looking forward to seeing how things look in game now after 6 months. The ban was punishment enough. Never used the bot for gold, probably never will. They're probably just trying to save the in game economy by any means possible, which will obviously fail.

Don't think so. If it is true, I think we should just be happy to even be getting the accounts back. I believe this is the first time ever they suspended accounts during a banwave instead of closing them. I've seen many waves happen since vanilla and this is the only time I can think of that they are being lenient. We took the risk and lost, just be grateful they feel some pity for us. The fact that I get my main back is well worth the 4+mil I will be out.
