Buddy Team and Star Wars: The Old Republic

Doesn't look like SWTOR is a better money maker than WoW.

I can't tell what your position on this bot is or why you seem to be trying to disprove the need for an unreleased bot that has 35 pages of mostly enthusiastic comments in favor of it.

The price will come up. It bottomed out due to a handful of exploits several of which you previously mentioned; and most (or all) of which have since been corrected. Yes, it's a shame they weren't caught during early access, and yes they probably could have done a better job at tracking the currency and removing the funds, but what's done is done.

Additionally, implying that 1 WoW Gold = 1 SWTOR Credit is like saying that 1 British Pound = 1 Mexican Peso.

I wonder who the first person to pump out a done CC will be...

CodenameG.

He will be the first "Forum Related" dev to have access to it I'm sure.
Although the rest of the team may throw together another "Singular Like" CC for the game.

I'm just sitting on the fence, grinding out figures.

But it does seem that Bioware is more interested in banning the accounts that come into direct transaction with the China agent accounts rather the accounts generating/holding the laundered currency/credits/gold.

A swtor bot would be more prescribed for personal/family usage (powerleveling) rather than economical usage (RMT).

A bot developer need not look at demands for economical usage but rather demands for personal/family usage like what the "other undetectable RIFT bot author" did, he abandoned dev for AION when he decided it was no longer "FUN" (demands for personal/family usage were still there) and switched to RIFT which plainly had no economical usage (RMT) but because he thought it was "FUN".

Rough estimation: 1 WoW gold = 10K Swtor credits just by comparing Mount training/buying costs.

You should also see the requirements of both games.
SWTOR needs alot more CPU and RAM (I think its 2-3x the amount wow needs) so You wont be able to run more than about 40% of the wow clients running now as swtor clients.
I can run up to 14 wow clients at once but didnt manage more than 5 swtor clients and then my CPU was at 100% (did that with virtual machines) so swtor has to give at least 3x the money to me per account just to compensate for that.

I will definately be looking forward to this. I'm at lvl 38 right now with other alts at lvl 17 or lower and it is a chore lol.

aside from the obvious skipping of tedious leveling will a swtor bot be worth anything?

i mean will farmed credits be useful?

right now the credits are worth jack cause you can't buy anything. the galactic trade network is a mess to work with.
the lack of UI enhancing addons adds to that (especially for the galactic trade network)
i actually lost intrest in the game around level 11 after my first "flashpoint".

Same i stopped around lvl 15 leveling is slow and boring dont really like the game. Waste of € 80,-

The story and levling is really quite good, alot better then wow. But as staded UI is pure shit, still some bugs that needs to be worked out (not being able to abbandon quests so questlog gets full etc) but overall its quite ok. Hit 50 yesterday and started pvping & doing heroics.. As stated credits are useless since u get all u need from dailys/questing and dont have anything to spend them on once you get the items u need. Hopefully they will work something out tho.

Economic viewpoint

Update for Currency Prices (Sell to China Agents):
WoW US: $0.2/K (PvP) or $0.1/K (PvE)
SWTOR US: $0.003/K

Avg Earnings in WoW US (12hr botting) = 5K per server per day = $0.50 to $1 per server per day
Avg Earnings in SWTOR US (handplay) = 200K per server per day = $0.60 per server per day

Any gold trading to China Agents will result in a perma ban for both games, so
For WoW you lose a vanilla trading account = $19.99
For SWTOR you lose the game + 2 months game card (they force you to activate a minimum subscription before you can play the game) = $87.99

- can't run SWTOR in multiple instances or in Vmware
- simple farming/ mob killing bot won't work, since mobs give near to 0 exp, and farmed mats are worthless except vendoring, players can just run crew missions to get mats.

So botting WoW will still be more profitable than SWTOR.

Gamer's viewpoint

The game is weak
- professions and questing are as grindy as AION (korean MMO).
- game mechanics like dps and heals are not as fun as RIFT
- Auction House is as primitive, constrictive, user unfriendly and item listing limited to 50 items as AION did.
- quicker to reach max level in RIFT and WoW
- non-existent economy even in v-high pop PvE servers
- full of unlimited leveling and credits exploits, Bioware is inept at banning and detecting gold laundering accounts except direct-trade
- economy won't recover until next xpac
- player population consists of mostly rejects from WoW and other MMOs
- game is Flavor-of-the-Season, Diablo 3 will trash it flat.
- game is a just a placeholder, before people migrate back to WoW: Panda, GW2, Aion 3, Diablo 3

Rumor #1: Blizzard was rumored to have release Diablo 3 on Jan 24 to counter SWTOR but then South Korea opposed the idea of RMAH.

Rumor #2: Blizzard won't release Diablo 3 until the Buddyteam closes shop :p. Blizzard doesn't want to share the commodity market profits with the Buddyteam.
