bans every 2 months will push a much larger fanbase away.
You have 1 year subs now with all the bad taste in everyone mouth i dont see much commitment without some kind of win for bossland and i dont see them getting on top of the banwaves before subs run out in a year.

We went from 6 month bans to 2 month bans. Whats to stop them from weekly or bi weekly.

With the lifetime key fiasco and the banwave right after, this official banwave thread got no response no explanation like they don't owe any customers shit.
Its only getting worse.

I got a refund even though it was purchased more than seven days ago (I think 21st of Jan?), so happy that happened.

Will give WoW a break until May when first account unlocks.

The question is how the developers missed the detection vector in the latest patch. How could that happen? This proves blizzard is always one step ahead, and that they know how to detect HB without tripping of tripwire. They are quick to update honorbuddy with new offsets after evety patch but they have no clue what else blizzard have done.

I've been reading for the past couple of day to see if I can learn more about Banwaves and their impact on the various Bots out there. It does appear that Bossland products are targeted much more directly than other Bots. I would imagine that most bots out there use similar methods to inject to WOW yet Blizzard seem to have targeted HB and excluded many other high profile names. I'm not sure that there's an easy solution to what's happening but can't help but feel that a shift to a passive system, as suggested for Legionbuddy, would help. I know it's supposed to be suspended for the time being but I'm hoping and praying we hear something about it soon.

They couldn't see it because Warden isn't clientsided.
When Warden gets an update, the client doesn't get one. So you can be sitting and botting, thinking you're safe, when boom, Warden is updated and you're flagged. Rip account.

That's not how Blizzard works after banwaves...

And if tripwire was doing it's job, there wouldn't have been a banwave in the first place

What scares me is that there is only 252 people here scanning the forums on this banwave, where the last one we had close to 1500. That number comparison is slightly staggering if that is any indication of the decline of the user base.

This should come as no surprise with Honorbuddy's breach of contract on lifetime keys, and the fact that many have already stopped botting as a result of the last two banwaves.

Unfortunately its been proven ineffective.
Now botting after ban wave is iffy.
Unless bot is still 100% detected they will not ban immediately. They wait for everyone to get comfortable to round up as many as they can. Last time they launch a second ban wave a week or so later to show whos really in control. I would not be surprised if they did so again this time.

Hmm I guess my way of understand for Tripwire would be that if it picks up a change in WoW it would trigger and disable everything. That sounds most logical to me. My misunderstanding and ignorance aside though.
