[Official] Banwave 1 February 2017 Discussion

I suspect that the banwaves are based on bot behavior and are here for good. For example, do something that causes tripwire to fire and keep track of all accounts that immediately log. If an account does this three times in a month period, the probability of it being a bot is probably like 99.99%. So, silently collect data until unleashing the ban hammer on all accounts that fit a certain set of heuristics. If I believed in conspiracies, I might be inclined to think that Bossland knows the gig is up and is making a cash grab while he can.

I dont believe this guys that say they stopped 7 weeks ago and still got banned. Well, i stopped 20 days ago and didnt get banned. I made a trial account 4days ago and let HB level 2 toons to 20 and it gor 6 monh ban lol. It tells me something. They let the scans run for not more than a week or two... Not botting for 7 weeks and getting banned is bshit. Are you sure you havent attached it for at least a couple of seconds in the past week or two, because that would be enough... Attach it for 10 seconds and bye bye.

@ryzon your giving it too much thought. Blizzard has proven they can detect HB anytime they want. When HB won the court case BAM they banned everyone. When blizzard just won the court case BAM they banned everyone.
You're at the mercy of blizzard now who decides when your time is over.

i too was botting early january, although i stopped - last date injected was likely around the 10th, no ban

When they analyze the logs and see that you have 200g and no auctions, they will give you 6 months. If further analysis shows that you have lots of money and auctions and gathering sessions, or have already been banned, there goes 18 months or perma. Very simple, no philosophy.

There is no data collection prior to bans, why do you not realize that?! Data collection comes after they detected HB attachment, which is for them sooo simple... maybe just press Enter and wait for the list of accounts to come up. It is THEN that they will sift through your logs to decide on 6 vs 18 vs perma ban. That part is more time consuming for them, and thats why thay do it like once every 3 monhhs or so (it was close to 6 before) And they are olso aware that most botters will buy new accounts and keep botting, so they are hesitant to deal the final blow because they lose money. Boils down to this. The account botting will be detected easily and at their whim very easily, without any data gathering and bshit. They will stop the scans in a couple of days, if they already didnt do it, and let you buy 20x new legion accs, then let you bot for the next 2-6 months, than say, "ok, push the red button, it was enough"

There is a 7 to MAXIMUM 14 days scaning window where the computers gather data on WoW with Hb making company. Having your account displayed in the list means min 6 months, even if attached for 5 seconds!

One more thing. Do you think they don't closely monitor increase in Battlechest and Legion keys sales and subs after the banwaves? Now go buy new keys, they are rubbing their hands.... Why did Blizz press so hard? Because the data charts indicated that 90% of the banned people in the last ban wave bought new accounts. If it were 50% i doubt there would be a banwave now, maybe in 6 months...

I stopped botting in early January, a week or more before the key change, and was just banned last night on that account. Your product is done.

LMAO hahaha that's how I felt to. It is weird that the seperate acct I actively botted with got banned and then I log into main battle.net acct I botted with 2 months ago without bot and then All 5 acts on there got banned. Blizzard is either scanning our computers which I don't think is legal or they are just banning any account logged in through same IP address.
 
I really would like to see a passive rotation only bot. At least we would see if it's more effective at avoiding ban waves. Soon too, I only have 344 days left.

GIVE US LEGION BUDDY ASAP

Tripwire haven't been able to recognize the latest scan methods, hence HB got detected rather than saved by tripwire.
 
Is anyone ignoring the fact that we just got hit with ANOTHER ban wave 3 days after feb 1st ban wave???
 
Either way thousands of people got hit 2 days after the first one so not sure what you want to call it but we all are still loosing and bam you are doing nothing but covering up the truth about your in ability to find a solution for us. maybe the truth will finally come out that you all are broke and out of resources. then maybe people will stop wasting their money on this failing product and it might just push you all to get a better one or stop stealing everyone money and let them find a different way.

Doubt they'd need to feed the code since Blizzard most likely reverse-engineers every release of Honorbuddy.

They're making so much money, they had to cancel liftetime keys for an influx of cash. That isn't the actions of a milk cow.

I think you're confusing a sinking ship with a milk cow.
