Just w8 like the rest of us, he told you that fixing isnt only about him, but the guy that made BW in the first place but hes not working for buddy team anymore. Thats why the fix is going so slow, Im also pissed and disappointed but there is no helping it sadly, only time will tell, btw i have 7 bots that are on hold but I payed game sub for 2 months. There are pple with even more than me and we are all in the same mess sadly.

I rekon if all the developer of Buddy will work togheder will be fix in a few days rather than wait for the guy wich dont even work here .
 
Do people just not read anything or do you have no reading comprehension? Aevitas clearly explained the situation, they can't just throw bodies or money at it.

Our team consists mostly of very specialized individuals. One of us did the majority of leg work when the bot project was started, which is well over three years ago. That person is no longer with us, and is therefore no longer getting paid. However, he currently is the only one who has the in-depth knowledge required to fix the crash issues we're currently facing. He's in Australia, I'm in Europe. He's agreed to help us fix the crashes whenever he has the time, but that does mean we're currently relying on his schedule to get the bot fixed and released, which is why it's taking longer than we expected.

The stuff he does is insanely complex, and there is only a handful of people in the world that are as good at it as he is. It's a rough spot to be in, but we'll get this bot back up and running as it did previously, and we won't shut it down for the forseeable future.

Lol u realy tink ther is a hand of ppl wich have that expertise . And just because he write extremly complex that dozent mean cant be done by others . The are ppl wich make Coding for NASA, NSA, BANKS ETC . if u realy tink that only few ppl can create a boot, that will be extremly incorrect . I mean let's be serious, if u guys jump in defense at the first word u tink is offensive for the buddy team u will never be respected. And the bot will be fixed in coffee breaks . I know that multiple ppl can have diference ideas , i realy tink if all of them will work togheder they will fix, they are all good programers i cheaked other buddy bot's and they are on a Another lvl, but is way easyer to wait for Mr Hawk to fix it for them.

In anycase that is my opinion no offense to anyone.
This will be my last post here is clear now that some ppl like this situation....

Like I said before this bot is more bother than profit for them so tahts why its like this, simple
 
Question is what everyone else is using atm, goldsellers seem to be thriving on the server ???
 
well as Aevitas vaguely mentioned in first post, "It would appear BioWare is making some changes in the parts of the game the bot was having trouble" so we know that this issue cant be effectively fixed before bioware fixes there engine as any changes made will likely be rendered useless ones they patch the bug they have.
and if they patch it there's 3 things that can happen.
A:revert to before issues.
B:no changes, just a minor thing.
C: a third state that forces Aevitas and the others to rework the code from bottom up again...YEY!

anyway my point is, while the Developers should have kept an eye on things and have things ready in 2 weeks time tops it cannot be demanded if the game itself is bugged.
 
Hope theres gonna be some progress with the bot soon, cant stand the ViperBot :(

The product is "up" with a clear indicator that the bot will crash. On top of that, everybody who had a key when the problems started occuring have been using the bot free of charge since - we've added over a month of free time to your keys.
Current build is up as courtesy - if you don't want to use it, don't. Wait until we have a stable build out.

Please keep the discussion civil from here on. Otherwise I'll be forced to remove replies and close the thread.
 
Hey Aevtitas, just wondering but does fixing questing require the expertise of the guy you are working with to resolve crashes? If not are you working on that? Do you think that going to take a long time to fix?

Yes, we have to work around a quirk in the game's engine. We're both working on it but at this point, but it's a very complex bug.

Can we get any update on progress? Any light in a tunnel ? Any chance of a working release in next days ?


Maybe someone on the forum have enough skill and free time now to make make a simple relogger for swtor and buddywing? Ofc im not talking about autoit one :P
