He started botting before they had tripwire back up so it was still disabled for him until yesterday when he manually turned it on again. It was too late though.
 
Moved house so had no internet, looks like i missed the ban lol. Going strong again though
 
not so lucky in my case :) 4/4 CLOSED. Seems there was a banning session of those who run the bot right after the banhammer?

Edit: I keep wondering, why when bans happens, all of my characters falls? Is that becouse all of my bots are in the same guild? should i invite them only to put in mats and kick right after? Any ideas?

only purpose, why to bot again is simply to farm gold and then sell for dollars. any other usage is in light of recent events just stupid and short-term.

Oh but it did. The bot was pretty much undetectable that Blizzard tried to sue Bossland and it ended up in only Bossland being unable to sell HB in Germany. Then banwaves started happening every 6 or so months. Now we got hit with 2 banwaves in short time. People have been saying that HB is detectable.
Let's say that there are different safety levels, from 1 to 10, 1 being 100% detectable and 10 being 100% undetectable. HB has been all between 1 and 9, I was wondering how safe it is on that scale.
Or you know something we don't?
 
Main got hit by hit by the banwave ( I know I'm stupid but was expecting it) started boting again 2 days ago on a old account and not detected yet. But only smooth leveling nothing hardcore. Also created new account for non-botting purposes (normal play). All accounts an the same battle.net

You think its save to transfer character from botting account to non botting account? Or will it get hit by next banwave too? I will send no gold or items directly to non botting account.
 
best case scenario would be to put items with your main to ah and buyout those with bot
 
but then you have a connection between your bot and main... and normally you don't farm with your main
 
Any high-level recap on the situation?

Too lazy to read all posts! Seems like is safer after tripwire fix isn't it?
 
Forgot to update, got from 1 to 110 with no ban. Still have the tripwire set as disabled, going to level more.
 
Quite a few people got banned tonight. The main banwave came one week before wow's 12th anniversary. Let's see what happens over the next few days
 
Noob question.

Just signed for a RAF free account, and when I accepted the invitation it explicity stated:
"You authorize Blizz to scan your RAM".

I tried to level it and got banned again.

I know that the policy was already in place before, but is it possibile that they got somehow stronger on this?

If so, which countermeasures can you take?
 
New account just got banned. Didn't put anything on AH, only farmed about 6 stacks of starlight in 4 days
