i wasn't trying to say PQR was all better than HB. in fact in a lot of ways its worse. if you want to gather herbs, bg, quest, dungeon, pretty much anything afk, then HB is the clear winner, PQR doesnt do any of that. It does wonders when you are doing lazyraider type activity, semi-auto rotations. I was under the impression that only the fight mechanics would need updating, as that seemingly was what was changed and not the zones. cheers to HB and to the devs.

Yes great BG, now the AFK macros/bots are back in fashion. A lot of my bot toons were top 3 in dmg in BG.

Don't care either way and i realize it will be done when it's done. Though i do hope 1 week doesn't turn into 1 month
I miss going home and seeing my spoils. I plan on leveling some druids for farmers.

I for one don't plan to bot at all until my main and perhaps one other toon hits the new level cap. I figure 1 month to MoP launch, and 1 month to level. By then the bots should be working and I'll miss the mass bot rush and ban scan that may occur.

Yeah I dont think Blizz cares about people botting. They basically just care about people botting and real world trading or messing up the game for others with stuff like abuse of the economy. Dont think they care for people who bot questing, lazyraider, or just mats but dont flood the AH.
This is exactly why I am logging onto some of my characters and playing a little bit. When HB has been updated, I will not bot until 4-5 days prior to MOP's release

Just a thought, but the current Live version, 5.0.4.16016 has been on Beta for about 5 days. They possibly got started on coding HB then since it's only a week downtime. Just remember, it could be worse and not have the bot till Mists hits live.
Also, to the person saying PQR worked the moment server's came live. Again, 16016 was on Beta for almost a week. The live version of it had the exact same offset's as what was on beta. That's why it worked on day 1.
What I do hope that comes out of this week downtime is possibly that HonorBuddy finally get's offset's for Beta realms so that profile Developer's and the like finally get time to code their profiles. I mean, if the program is finally getting updated to work with 5.0.4, it should also work with the beta, with the erroneous error every now and then on Beta itself. But as stated on WoW, everything is coded now, most of the work being done is Balancing the classes and fixing the occasional problem that arises.

While GB is down I have reverted back to the gathermate2 addon. It worked the same day as the patch. I have to fly my own character and fight when he is attacked but actually gathering more mats than with GB. More mats probably because no bots to compete with.

You have 26 days till MoP. In 4-5 days you might have the bot, that is 20days. It is possible to do it sinve tehy lowered XP from 80-85
Horrible support from HB team for this downtime, should have been sorted before release like other developers have done (see above). I hope it's fixed faster than a week. Would also help to send an indicator to people of this through the .EXE explaining when it would be down (prior to it going down), etimated fix etc, or something similar so people don't have to roll through forums and constantly refresh daily/hourly to see if it's fixed.

Im a member of this community for a long time now and I can tell you the following.
We had these downtimes after every bigger patch and pirox the only bot comparable to HB in the last years had those too. If Blizzard changes 1 line of code it could mean that the Hb team has to change 100 to get along with that change.
Quting other bots like Apollo did just before me is just nonsense. Most other bots rely on memoryreadying and things like that. Hb is a bot that relys on memoryreading and also on injecting. I am not an expert in these things but to compare that: Memoryreading is like opening a book and reading whats written in it. Even if the author changes the chapters you simply have to look where the information you need can be read now. Injecting is more like trying to write your own book and mix it up with the book another author wrote without him noticing. If the author changes it you will have to read it all over again and then write your own parts in the book all over again so the author wont notice what you did to his book.
Comparing things like PQR and HB is like comparing a simple tool like a hammer and the machines that produce CPUs for Intel.
And just because you don't see the changes doen't mean they're not there. If you ever get to start coding or even writing HBProfiles a bit you will soon notice that there is more than one way to have the program do what you want it to do. Two programers could write programs in the same language that look exactly the same and do exactly the same but almost no line of their code is the same. Like that Blizzard can change WoWs code completely without you even noticing because everything would look and work like it ever did.
