[OFFICIAL][Patch 5.0.4] Honorbuddy will be offline for a week (or more)

So, plaray51 seems to be saying that the HB devs are either lazy or else have no forsight. What he thinks about the HB devs is not going to change the fact that they plan to take a week before they release the fixed version of HB.

If PQR was so much better then it seems that plaray51 would be using PQR instead of complaining in the HB forums. ...or perhaps he's simply trying to draw attention to the PQR bot. Personally, I'm unfamiliar with PQR but I use the buddybots because they have a reputation of being reasonably safe and undetectable by WoW Warden. That's what I paid for and that's what I'll wait for.

PQR is the same without movement and if you argue that hb combat bot is more sophisticated then you should ask yourself in the same breath why is the free PQR more efficient?

I've said that Honorbuddy itself is more sophisticated than PQR. Because well, you know, Combat bot is one of a dozen things Honorboddy does. When most of them are broken due to the patch, it's reasonable to shut the whole thing down instead of running it in half-broken state.

Seriously, most of people here are losing money, and nobody complains because we all know that HB is down for our own good. You, on the other hand, are complaining about bloody Combat bot while you have a free and fully functional alternative.

You should get your facts straight. Spell glyphs and talents may be the only visible change to you, that doesn't mean WoW doesn't handle its stuff differently internally now, which it does. They did it in one day because they have far less to update than we do, literally by a factor 100. All these changes under the hood, invisible from the normal player, but they are wrapped by HonorBuddy, and need to be updated according to the latest 5.x patch. It's a lot of work, and a week really isn't that long of a wait if you ask me personally.

Evidently your so-called "facts" are mere assumptions which lack any sort of proper investigation or even the slightest knowledge of what's going on. Now you know, though. That's a fact. :)
 
just wondering if it would be at all possible to get a percentage bar of estimated work completed? say 15% so far out of 100% maybe it will stop the whingers and people can just check the banner of honorbuddy in the morning to see whats happeneing rather then dig through (not that its many) but 19 pages of some peoples unflattering opinions. I'm not really seeing many complainers just plaray51. I think most of us know this is simply how HB works, its really not a big deal, it will be ready when its ready. Until then I'll just feast on the tears of whiny internet babies. Come here plaray51 I want to eat your tears!
 
I think the devs should turn it back on.

The point isn't that we don't want to let you use HB, it simply will not work until we update it. It won't move, it won't fight, it won't do anything.
 
People need to show some respect and appreciation for what these guys do.
I for one have no idea how to do it. I think they are bloody smart.

I assume once a week is up more people will complain "Why isn't it up yet! You said 1 week" ....
Let them do thier work, if it takes a month I will be happy to know that I am using a safe and amazing product as always.

Big thank you to all the developers for sharing thier hard work and time to give all of us the CC's, farming bots and more.

Love your work & I hope all goes well through the implemented patches over the coming weeks/months
 
See? A guy from the development team, came in and explained things to plaray51. Really, why being and act like fanboys all the rest? He had an opinion, the developer told him that he is wrong about it, end of story. No need to flame anyone and I bet staff here do not need that kind of "representation". Just chill.

Wow, wait here. I am all in to be patient in order to have a good and reliable product. But appreciation has nothing to do with a paying product :) Patience is enough in my opinion. Do not go overboard and worship. Well, you can if you want to, but well... don't expect others to do the same as the normal thing :)
 
i think it is fine tht hb is down i could use a break any how i am just wondering if soem peeps out there tht are alot smarter then me working on some new cc's since stuff has changed those could b a bit much to make.
 
I am not worshipping, nor do I "expect others" to. I can only imagine behind the scenes what it takes to write codes etc.. for all these things and showing a little appreciation...oh wait we payed for this product...so we don't have to right? Comon it was the price of a few Big Macs for a lifetime.
Anyway that will do me. It was just a simple thanks.
 
Well I give a Big Kudos to the Dev Team.. Don't use the BG buddy much or the dungeon buddy .. But I Love me some Lazy Raider.. Just wish that there could be a little more Adjust ability to the CC's. Definitely wish I Knew how to write one.. MMMMMMM Tweaking...... Anyways.. You Guys Are Da Bomb!!! Keep Up the Great Work!!
 
Honestly, I think about half of you need to try and get laid at least once over the next week.
 
Yes, it's good that Blizzard released the MoP patch early us botters can get stuck straight in to botting on release day
 
how many devs actually work on the one project? just curious to know how many people are working on honorbuddy, or is it just one?

Darklyte, I looked at PQR after all the arguing that plaray51 was doing here, and it does not fit my play style but it might actually fit yours. It does not quest, it does not do any afk dungeons or afk bg, but it does do fight rotations. It's not 1/10 of the bot that HB is, but I think it might do some of the things that lazyraider will do. Besides that, it's free.

FWIW, for the guy to compare PQR downtime to HB downtime is like comparing apples with oranges. Apples and oranges may both be fruits but they grow from totally different trees. PQR and HB may both be WoW bots but PQR is not nearly as sophisticated as HB. They grow from two totally different trees of thought concerning how a bot should work in WoW.

BTW, why aren't you guys playing GW2 this week instead of waiting on a WoW bot? (smiling, ducking, and running)
