[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

top effort on all the changes lately millz, the profile is getting better and better as the days go by
I was using arcane spec earlier today and noticed the recast on AB is a tad slow, im not sure if you have a rotation for when the character is moving but it doesnt seem to do much eg casts an arcane barrage and an ice lance here and there, not much else instead of spamming our instant skills and also i have arcane power checked to boss/ player and when I fight a boss it casts mirrors and other cooldowns and arcane power is always later behind, any chance you could speed that up so we can use it more times per raid
 
Hmm no issues adding it, but it's not really worth the effort adding all the different level checks and spec checks for the sake of changing the drop down. I might add it when I'm bored at work one day.
Sounds like a plan. Mages don't' get their armors all at once anyway. There are quite a few levels between each one so, as I said in an earlier post, using the drop down isn't that much of an issue. I was just thinking more along the lines of end-gaming. You could use SimC to pick out the best one for the spec, and have it switch automatically, just as a convenience.

The armors do have some utility behind them, after all. Molten Armor increases your spell critical strike chance by 5% and reduces all physical damage taken by 6%. Frost Armor increases your spell haste by 7% and if an enemy strikes the caster, their movement is slowed by 30% for 5 sec. Mage Armor increases your Mastery by 3000 and causes the duration of all harmful magic effects used against you to be reduced by 25%. So, as you can see, it almost seems like Molten Armor or Mage Armor would be the PvE choices, while Frost Armor would be a PvP choice. I apologize Millz. I'm just rattling things off at you. Your routine works great as it is. It's already gotten me well over 25 levels in just two short days of running it.

Could you please change Rune of Power so its not casting when not moving, to cast when in combat instead?
Looks very bottish to cast it in bigger cities everytime you stand still

Shall fix tomorrow, agree that would look very bottish.

how about adding an option to choose wether to cast alter time combo on boss or not ^^ it sucks to don't have it ready on boss pull ;)

Try turning off the first anti-lag setting on the advanced tab... stage #1. Will make the routine cast a bit quicker (but as the name suggests, induce more lag). Arcane Power should be first, then alter time would cast because arcane power is active. I'll check it out tomorrow anyway, nearly time for bed !
 
Hi, i have a fire mage level 30 and I'm just wondering why the routine doesn't use inferno blast
 
If possible, my friend said as Arcane at exactly 2.2 seconds left on living bomb set to expire it should be refreshed and give additional dps , if you could test this out when you have time;-) thank you
 
hey millz, does the premium version of portal more dps than the public one and/or more than king-wow?

- Fixed cancel cast when we're casting on target other than our current, and our current has a do not damage aura.
- Tier 6 talents will now only cast if we've got an unfriendly/enemy target, or we're in combat.

Just needs to be less than 3 seconds it seems. I'll fix it soon - going out for lunch now.

*edit* nvm quick fix.

- Living Bomb refresh time increased from 1.1s to 2.8s.
