Old builds can't be used with WoW. Anytime a WoW patch is incoming and offsets have changed, they need to be changed within HB as well; otherwise it can't "communicate" and perform actions.
An old HB client can't be used with an old WoW client? Really? (I mean, I get you can't right now in it's current state. but thats simply bc BuddyAuth won't allow you to Authenticate)
I understand that each patch changes / has the potential to change everything from LUA, to memory addresses, and check-sums; but if we are running an old copy of the game client that hasn't been updated, isn't it safe to assume that the corresponding legacy HB client would work?
I think the only issue would be how the old HB clients communicate with Buddy Auth.
I don't think HB build for Wow 6.2 would know the difference between a retail copy of the game client and copy of the game client for a private server. (Assuming the server is a 1:1)
I don't play private, it doesn't affect me, just an idea I had.
