The Legion Patch caused HB to require an update. The version you downloaded is not the current version and will not work with the new update. They are currently working on a new version of HB. Should be ready in a couple more days according to the official forum thread on the subject.
 
cant recall from previous patch updates, but when I start HB after its update is released, will it tell me that its avail or do I need to keep checking back?

Hey, so I noticed some guy swearing about how all these other bots have been working, and his post was removed. Now, all cussing aside, I did a little research, and all these other bots ARE up and running the same day of the patch, or within hours. And here we are getting up on a week, and nothing. I'm a pretty patient person, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed that I've sunk so much money into your product, for all the down time I've had (including patches past). I'm nobody in the "community", but as a customer, I'm extremely dissatisfied, and think I'll be cutting my losses on your project. Thanks.

Bossland/HB is taking its time, to secure your account, as much as they can. No one is stopping you from using other bots.

Reprimands are handed out when users break the forum rules, nothing more.
The moderators are reticent to give them out, and err on 'letting it go' most of the time.
So when they are given out, without question, each user has earned whatever reprimands he receives.

If you cannot understand or abide the forum rules, you should not be posting here.
Quite simple, really.
Sad that some feel that the venue's rules do not apply to them.

why do people say this. HB is the sole target of blizz banwaves. The other bots dont do even 10% of the things HB is capable of therefore blizz virtually ignores them.

Raphus already explained a bit why HB is taking longer to update than most other bots: HB is much more diverse. Where other bots focus on one or a few things, HB focusses on a lot of things. Hence, a lot of things need updating, instead of one or a few things.

For people who find that really hard to grasp, heres a comparison:

Other bots are bicycles. HB is a car. Both break down.

The time required to fix the bike is pretty limited: new tyres, new brakes, headlight, rearlight, maybe the gears as well. But thats basicly it.

Now, the car on the other hand: tyres, engine, clutch, gearbox, airconditioning, suspension, front and rear lights, interior, dashboard, fuel pump, battery, starter engine, fuses, and god knows what else.

The point I'm trying to make:
HB is a BIG and pretty ADVANCED bot. Other bots are usually much more SIMPLE and less COMPREHENSIVE than HB.

BIGGER AND MORE ADVANCED THINGS TEND TO REQUIRE MORE TIME TO FIX THAN SIMPLE THINGS.

Its true but you forget to compare it correctly

all other bots does not support "auto skill learning" just for exemple
hb does so he need to update more
some bots supporting lets say combatroutines, but in fact they communitydriven and most time just there, hb have a own "singular" and he must update this to for default work ( other bots dont need to do this )

there was just 1 other bot who was nearly same powerful ( and professional ) like HB but this bot got closed/died after 2 hackattacks and that was *****, ***** was the only bot who was really a good one, but honestly right now noone can mess with hb so there is no reason to flame,
 
Well then how did either you or Roboto get past the May 2015 and December ban waves? I am guessing you don't play a lot.
tbh you're right about that, i dont play much these days and was on a one-month skiing holiday that time around :D

Although I've gotten nothing but help from people on this forum, I couldn't agree more. Very disappointing with this extensive downtime. Just don't want to moan too much about it! :p
