[Official] Honorbuddy down time discussions

This is everyday work talk for me, I process some shipments for server hardware and troubleshoot linux/networking. Most time's I will fill out the form for hardware replacements then that's it on my end and I let customer know I can do nothing more until X happens, they still call me and ask for ETA's even though I told them i cannot give them as I am waiting on another party.
 
Just be patient guys :) You say another bot already supports legion, are they carefully checking contents of each new mini patch to maintain your security? No of course not because they do not have the experience or the profesionalism of the buddy team! The fact they let you continue to use a program without vetting change patch contents is so bad. I know the one people are talking about is very insecure because the whole rotation is injected into the game client with LUA, totally insecure bliz can banwave them in 2 minutes if they decide to :D

In the long run..especially with legion buddy people will see the buddy team is the most professional and best out there by far. nothing else compares

Dont forget the buddy team also has to update Tripwire and get it ready for the new expansion, they can only do that work when the patches are made live because bliz witholds new anti cheat measures until the last minute. Other bots dont have anything like tripwire so of course it is faster for them to update :D

It is understandable to why no ETA will be given, but - we would like to know if there's any significance at all? Any progression?

yeah, watcha gonna do... just gotta keep on fixing each time they drop another :(

But yeah, update from devs on the progress and possibly some loose ETA would probably calm a lot people down too hehe :D

I'm not sure its just irony or maybe paid troll. I usually ignore your posts but this time somebody may really belive you. I agree, honorbuddy is ACTUALLY best bot for wow but just because other bots have really poor tech support (profiles) and botbases. And definitly hb isnt most safe bot.

Totally agree with it. Blizz is too "powerfull" to win against them and they show it many times.
 
I really don't care if they take an entire week to give us a good and stable release, honestly i'm having so much fun at bgs w/o bots ^^

they make money out of us, they are not going to be just sitting around idle :confused: be patient go catch some pokemon.
 
This is just a suggestion, but maybe put a new page (something easily readable) that shows a Green check or Red X if it's up and down. At least then I wouldn't have to keep coming to the forums and reading around some. If it was something that could show through json or something similar, then we could write apps that alert us when it's back up.

I really believe you would get way less "is it up yet" questions if you did that!

I suggest using a street light method at the top of the page. Green good yellow still working on it and of course red bugger off.

HB Is the most safe bot due to Tripwire, it prevented two possible banwaves in the last two months

I think its obvious they have to update Tripwire for a new expansion, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out :D

People forget that HB is the biggest target, they hardly even focused on other amateur bots. HB is safer because they had so many experience of Bliz trying to target them and Tripwire is getting more secure each time. They even mentioned it in the last court document! Bliz may soon give up with HB and issue more banwaves to the less popular programs, I know they had one recently already
 
The process is going to take as long as it takes.

Meaning : Shut the **** up you piece of meat spending money and times on our product. Never been complaining about HB, but you should seriously does not say the things like that.. We are not dog.
 
Please stop comparing Honorbuddy with other bots in the market. There is no other software that covers as much as Honorbuddy do in WoW functionality wise. Therefore, the more changes in WoW affects Honorbuddy the more.

Update process for a big patch like this is not just about updating offsets. Honorbuddy uses hundreds of class structures from WoW while others use a few. All these structures needs to be updated to be on par with WoW client.

There is also the file format changes for game data and more. I guess I don't really need to tell anything about security measures.

We are all devoted to get a Honorbuddy build ready as fast as we can.
