The bot doesn't differentiate between repeatable and 1 time quests. (Dailies vs storyline). Deleting the cache forces the bot to query for the info rather than utilize old info stored for speedy access. Or something like that.

Thanks for the info! When the bot is behaving questionably, will deleting the \Cache folder suffice or do I need to reinstall HB every time? If I reinstall, am I allowed to keep the \Settings and \Routines folder, or do they also need to go? I'm just trying to understand the most efficient way to do troubleshooting. Thanks again!!

You do NOT have to delete: Plugins, Quest Behaviors, Routines, Profiles

Settings I'm not sure but there isn't much in there that isn't covered by the auto settings in the profile.
 
Here is my method for easily making a new honorbuddy folder each day. Maybe add this to the front page brodie.

You will only have to do this once
DO NOT RUN DAILIES FROM THIS FOLDER EVER
1. Start with a clean installation of Honorbuddy
2. Install plugins into plugins folder
3. Install quest behaviors into quest behaviors folder
4. Set questing as the Bot Base on each character
5. Log into each of your characters and set up CC (Personally I lower health % for eating to 5 to avoid using expensive food)
6. Enable plugins on all of your characters and set them up if needed
7. Set up any settings you need in the settings button (I turn logging to verbose so I can see exactly what's going on)
8. Log out of Honorbuddy and delete the logs folder (simply to reduce the size doesn't really matter)

Now, we have a folder setup specifically ready to do dailies. The trick here is to take this folder and copy/paste it. You won't have to ever mess with settings again or cache. You simply delete the folder you pasted and re-copy/paste the original for a fresh dailies cycle.

After pressing start, my bot goes through all of the text like normal then nothing else. My toon will sit there doing nothing until a mob attacks me and my toon will attack it back, using rotations based off the class profile...then continue to stand there. Any simple fix to this?

Hi, Metroidprim1,

Malfunctioning plugins, a bad Honorbuddy installation, or loss of mesh server connectivity are the usual suspects for the symptoms you describe. The only way we can tell is if you attach a log.

Hi, Frniners, and thanks for the log!

Can we try using Singular as your Combat Routine, and see if that let's you progress? If that doesn't fix the problem, please follow up (and post a fresh log using Singular) in the Support forum, as the problem looks like an Honorbuddy bug, if its not the Combat Routine.

Sorry, I'm super slow today. :) What are the profiles? the \Default Profiles folder?

Also, can I keep the \Bots folder, or do I have to delete it too? I have ProfessionBuddy bot in there. Thanks again!

I can't get the quest "Laosy Scouting" in the GL quests to work. It's using a custom QB and Singular mentions that "your Pull Distance is 1 yds which is low for any class!!!" (Emphasis theirs.) Could that be the issue?

So it's not the 1 yd warning. That seems to be a new warning from singular. That's to warn you if you are grinding and your pull distance is a bit low.

I NEED to get this quest, so I can test out this QB better. It's not working, I know. There's something wrong with the 3rd location call (I make it fly between 3 spots) not working...yet all three are identical. Either way, I'm trying...but it's hard to fix without being able to test myself.
 
Is there a way to make it skip the fishing dailies? When I get the quest where you have to fish it sits there casting and not clicking the bobber thingy

I'm testing Anglers now.

EDIT: Honestly, I'm a little confused. And I'm going to run some more tests. I just did Piranha and it worked flawlessly. I don't doubt that it DIDN'T loot when it should on some of yours, though. So here's what I need:

Has anyone done this quest successfully more than once? Does it work one day and not the next, but then fix with reinstall/cache clear?

Also, Klaxxi now checks if you have completed any of the quests. It will now pop up if it detects them completed.
There's an up and down side to this. If you did the dailies already, it knows now. And I might be able to use this to skip it. But now if your cache is old, it SHOULD read it, and still warn you, but I won't know til tomorrow.

Hi, Fox99.0, and thanks for the log!

It looks like you're suffering from the classic cache corruption issue.

If you want to help HBdev squish this bug once and for all:
  • Go to the HB/Cache directory and find the #######.cqc file(s)
  • Since the forum won't allow *.cqc to be directly uploaded, Zip the *.cqc files along with your log.
  • Upload the Zipped file to a Support issue with a short description of the problem you encountered
To get you going again, here's how to repair the cache issue:
  • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
  • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
  • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:
  • You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
  • You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
  • There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.
After this, you should be off-and-away.

well i did what u said in an earlier post and cleared the cache but it still hasnt fixed my issue. that log is from directly after i cleared my cache and restarted everything.
 
Warn Stoneplow - Quest - World of Warcraft

profile gets stuck on this quest trys to pick it up over and over but there is no quest there cleared cache etc....from what im reading its normally because you dont complete every quest in four winds...which I did not. question I have is how can I get the profile to skip this quest?

Sorry, I wouldn't have wasted time if I'd known that up front, but thanks for clearing that up.

Your toon is trying to pick up Gao-Ran Battlefront from Ban Bearheart, as you pointed out. Ban no longer offers that quest because you've completed it, and Honorbuddy does not recognize this.

Usuallly, clearing the caches will let Honorbuddy figure this out. But, Honorbuddy also has a bug (that the developers know about), where clearing the caches for this problem is insufficient.

To work-around the problem, you'll need to use Notepad++ and comment out line 820 of the "[N - Quest] 89-90 Townlong Steppes [Kick].xml" profile, like this:

After this, you should be off and away.
