HB ARCHIVES: Kick's Old Posts Thread--DO NOT DELETE!

Coming Soon:

I think I've figured out a way to have the bot "scan the cache" to see if you are ready for a set of dailies.

I'm going to implement it soon included into the Daily Grind profile. What it will do is send a message checking if you "Don't have, but is completed" on every daily possible. If it works as intended, if it detects you have done dailies before starting it, it will send a message to the screen (with a timer, just something to let you know its seen an unclean cache) saying "Don't forget to clean you cache". If you are restarting the bot, and restart using Daily Grind, this would pop up, but can be ignored, however, I recommend loading an individual profile of the rep you are on to avoid it cycling thru again.

If this works as intended, I hope to be able to help everyone with the "its skipping my quests!" problem before they need to post here.

Since It's been a while since i've posted (even though that might be a good thing?) I'd like to update with another great accomplishment for the records.
Today my bot completed: Tillers, Klaxi (still have the issue with the bot not delivering Rampage against the machine), Golden lotus (all of the stages!), Shado-Pan, August Celestial and even The Anglers! Almost without my interferrence today! Looking forward to see my other characters go as smoothly through the dailies today!
Keep up the great work mate!

The only reason I have discovered as to why the bot will skip quests in this manner is if the cache folder is old (old meaning it has not been deleted since you last did these quests). Installation also requires you do not simply overwrite the old. Overwriting the old install still leaves the cache folder and several files that are created by the bot during operation. I'm sorry that this fix must be done daily...

I delete the old folder and install it new from the HB.rar from the homepage. Istn?t this right?

Quest: "Hard as a Rock"

Same like the Ropes Quest (Trillers) Toon just stay at one Place and waits till an Object respawns :( Sometimes it logouts out because of doing nothing.

I've got several problems. #1: Sometimes it accept quests, does one quest, moves on and does the same with the other factions.
#2: Honorbuddy saying: Moving to ******* to accept a quest, and it just stands still.

Great profile so far! Concerns so far:

1) The end result: the Tillers quests work for me on a fresh installation as long as I stop to delete cache every time it bugs. Also, the instant turn-in quest "Blingtron 4000" isn't covered, by design, which gave me a free Primordial Ruby gem.

The bot did 2 of the Tiller quests, didn't pick up the rest, and then moved on to Cloud Serpent quests without even turning in the 2 quests it did. (I'm using a fresh HB installation and just did an SVN update before I created this log.)

Then, after I deleted the Cache folder and restarted HB, the bot did pick up 2 more dailies, did them and turned in all 4 that it had picked up. However, it did not pick up the remaining 3 dailies. Odd. It neglected "Cabbage Test" (covered under [Rep] Farm Dailies [Brodie].xml), "The Kunzen Legend-Chief" (definitely a bug) and "Blingtron 4000". So I deleted the cache again and then it did that quest and turned it in as I'd already picked it up manually.

2) This file, [Rep] Shieldwall Stories [Brodie].xml, never gets used in the dailies rotation.

3) The profile does none of the Cloud Serpent quests even though the OP says "Pre-Reqs now supported". I'm not sure how to get it to do these quests.
EDIT: I did all the pre-reqs as prescribed by WowHead.com here: Order of the Cloud Serpent - Faction - World of Warcraft. Now the dailies are available, but the bot only picked up 3 of them leaving the 4th.

Thanks for making this awesome dailies collection!! :)

Same here i just Delete the entire HB folder and re-install HB everyday saving my QB,Routines, and Plugins folders. Works Flawlessly every time. Great work Brodie

How do you know it's not skipping quests? Do you have to watch it do every single quest every single day, or can you gauge it by the total quests done? Thanks.

Just curious. What is the purpose of deleting the HB folder? I know it works, but I'm just curious as to what gets corrupted in HB. Is it the Settings folder? Thanks.

Not entirely sure i think it has something to do with the bot thinking certain dailies have already been completed or something... But thats just me guessing. You would have to ask someone thats knows a bit more about how the whole bot works.

going through valley of four winds it appears that the bot runs through like 80 groups of these little hamster guys and then get owned every time it tries to res.

1) Blingtron will not be supported because he is not at a set location. He's out if someone drops him. If I programmed him in, there's potential for it to break as he isn't always around, and if he's dropped into the phased farm area by someone trolling, this might cause issues too.

If the bit isn't picking up quests, there could be sync issue between bot and game. It's happened to me before and I had chalked it up to lag because the bot would scan for npcs before they spawned. When they did, half the scan was done and several would be skipped. If the bot is doing half the. Not turning in, that means it's check of "do I have and is it done" is not returning correctly. I'll double check my profile, but I haven't made any changes to turnins in weeks.

2) and rightfully so. That's for the rep dependent quests from Shieldwall. If you meant Shieldwall as the dailies profile, no it is not included because it does not work 100% of the time. Lots of pathing issues. Too many areas bot gets stuck. Recommend running it separately and not afk.

3) do you have a log of it skipping the pre-Reqs? Also if you swap characters, you may have to delete cache between them, as one characters cache says "pre-Reqs done" where another still needs them. The 4th dailies giver gives profession based dailies. These are not supported, and therefore don't get picked up. Not everyone has first aid, cooking, archaeology and fishing. The fishing, when the bugs are clear, will be added like I have in anglers, but the rest I might not add due to need for high level profession support.

It doesn't actually get corrupted, per say. It just receives incorrect info on the status of completed quests. It's a bug that's been present in the bot since WoW v5.0.1. The bot doesn't differentiate between repeatable and 1 time quests. (Dailies vs storyline). Deleting the cache forces the bot to query for the info rather than utilize old info stored for speedy access. Or something like that.

Bot sees behavior as done. This means the bot thinks the quest is already complete and will skip the command. Happens with unclean cache folder. If continues, try a reinstall, and drop quest and pickup. If still persists, show me the log of after you did all that.

At the time the Window pop ups with the information, everything is done. i fly to all the points to take a look if nothing was skipped. and yes i watched 7 days every single quest if there are issues or not to report. And as i said, before i start HB i delete the Cache files and for this profile runs nearly perfect!
