Hi Kickazz or Chinajade --

Could one of you two help me out with some information? I'm currently running old content and doing old quests that I skipped as I leveled my warlock. I figured I'd load up Kick's questing profiles to do some of this. Can I load them up and just start going, or is there a level requirement on them somewhere that I need to change so that my level 90 can go back through the old content and do the quests? I remember way back you used to have to go in and change a flag from true to false, or false to true in order to have it ignore your level and do all quests regardless. Is that still in play, or do they just "work" now without having to change anything?

Thanks,
Zeldrak

Edit: Just a word to all you folks that want to use these scripts to run old quests. Don't. The profile has a tag in it that clears your entire quest log. I lost my legendary cloak quest because of this. I was in Chapter 4 of the quest line, and now it's gone. Along with a few other quests I had saved. So, if you want to use them, then figure out how to remove the tag, or behavior, or lines of code that empty your quest log and then use them, otherwise you're going to be losing out on quests that you had saved for whatever reason. I'm just hoping that Blizzard can restore my legendary cloak quest, otherwise I may just go on sabbatical until my nerves return to normal.

Edit 2: After putting in a ticket and calming down and doing some thorough searching, I found that my rewards were still in my bags and that even though the quest was abandoned, I had not lost all prior successful quest turn-ins. I simply have to pick up the quest to obtain secrets of the empire once more and the ones that I had will return to my bags.

The quest giver Wizzlecrank's Shredder - NPC - World of Warcraft to take the quest Ignition - Quest - World of Warcraft in Profile: [H - Quest] 12-58 K and EK [Kick] appear in other place.. i see the NPC Wizzlecrank's Shredder - NPC - World of Warcraft in other site.....

Hi, Igoblin,

From the log, it looks like Honorbuddy is correctly investigating the alternate locations for the quest giver. Alas, we can't speed this up by giving hints in the profile, because we don't have the X/Y/Z of the correct instance of the quest giver. We'll try to give this a look next time we pass through the area.

cheers,
chinajade

(Feel free to move if this is not the correct place for this report)

In the quest called Mud Hunter in Burning Steppes [Alliance] bot is supposed to loot 9x Obsidian-Flecked Mud, but is having difficulties to do so, mostly ignoring these objects. What do I see:

- most of the Mud objects are ignored completely
- when the character runs over the object or within 10yd, it loots it
- when I forcibly move the character close enough to an object, it will loot it as well
- sometimes it recognizes the object, starts approaching it, and then suddenly turns and goes away

This is a second character within a week I've had this issue at this very quest, both with HB build 732, no 3rd-party plugins and with up-to-date Kick's profiles.

In the log I'm seeing this, not sure how deeply is that related:

Hi, Junk, and many thanks for the log.

You misunderstand how InteractWith works--it always blacklists the object it has just interacted with (for a few mins) to prevent attempts to interact with the same object again. In your log snippet, you left out the most important part in your snippet:

[13:52:47.456 D] [InteractWith-v1367(debug)] Interacting with 'Obsidian-Flecked Mud'
[13:52:47.457 D] [Lua.Events] Attached to event UNIT_SPELLCAST_FAILED with handler HandleInterrupted
[13:52:47.457 D] [Lua.Events] Attached to event UNIT_SPELLCAST_INTERRUPTED with handler HandleInterrupted
[13:52:47.457 D] InteractDebug:189562996
[13:52:47.458 D] Interact Done:189562996
[13:52:48.753 D] [Lua.Events] Detached from event UNIT_SPELLCAST_FAILED with handler HandleInterrupted
[13:52:48.754 D] [Lua.Events] Detached from event UNIT_SPELLCAST_INTERRUPTED with handler HandleInterrupted
[13:52:48.754 D] [InteractWith-v1367(debug)] Interact with 'Obsidian-Flecked Mud' succeeded.
[13:52:48.755 V] Blacklisting F11328050005AEAE for 00:03:00 [Type: Interact] - Reason : No reason specified. Caller: at Honorbuddy.QuestBehaviorCore.Extensions_WoWObject.BlacklistForInteracting(WoWObject wowObject, TimeSpan duration) in c:\Users\Administrator\Documents\HB\Quest Behaviors\QuestBehaviorCore\Extensions\Extensions_WoWObject.cs:line 51
Such blacklisting is required for proper operation.

The issue with this quest is that many of the Obsidian-Flecked Mud objects are located too close to lava. So, the InteractWith seriously tightens up the collection distance for this quest, and explicitly visits each potential population point that is safe. This technique may cause you to skip some of the objects, but it prevents Honorbuddy from putting the toon in a 'death loop' caused by lava.

Although sub-optimal, the quest completes in a reasonable amount of time using this technique, and your toon is prevented from entering a 'death loop' that can get you reported.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Zeldrak,

Aye, the quest-clearing thing is annoying, but it solves an important problem for which we have not found another technique. The technique is only used where absolutely necessary.

As far as pursuing 'completionist' objectives, you may find this article helpful:

@Chinajade, thanks for the explanation! Here's another trouble:

In Blasted Lands there's a quest called Protecting Our Rear and one of the NPCs to kill is a demon called Shanandana, who's standing on a mould surrounded by a dozen of Enthralled Cultists. The problem is the bot runs right through the biggest pack of Cultists when trying to approach Shanandana. It doesn't even try to kill them, just goes the pull the said demon with a dozen of mobs on its back, obviously dying (unless the area has been cleared by a random player a short time before). Might be a better idea to approach her from behind, pulling only 2-3 mobs at most.

Cheers!

I've recently been questing to level a new alternative character - Horde Tauren Druid - and when I start questing mode and click on the appropriate updated profile, it brings up an error message that reads;

[Compiler Error]: c:\Users\Brady\Documents\Honorbuddy 2.5.8690.707\Quest Behaviors\Development\InteractWithV2.cs(785,34) : error CS1593: Delegate 'System.Func<object,Buddy.Coroutines.Coroutine>' does not take 0 arguments
Warning: Errors in quest behaviors!

I'd greatly appreciate some assistance in this, what I hope to be, a very simple a swift fix.

-Thanks

Hi, Thaliose29, and welcome aboard.

First, compiler errors are never a problem with the profile—they are a problem with your Honorbuddy installation.

The fix is simple, do a clean install. Honorbuddy does not ship with an InteractWithV2 behavior.

Wanted to do the Children's Week Quests in Dalaran (Wolvar)

Getting this:
I seem to have the same issue, log attached.

View attachment 127017

Hi, all,

We just ran two of the four Children's week profiles (Human and Shattrath). The have been freshened to removed deprecated constructs, and smooth out a couple of area. There may still be a couple of problems, but they should largely work fine. Due to time constraints, we'll be unable to run the other two profiles, but we freshened them in the same way as the first two.

@Ralgex,
Your issue is something wrong with your Honorbuddy installation, and not the profiles.

cheers,
chinajade

I wasn't able to get a log - because I had a bit of a spastic moment and cleared HB before realizing it.
'
But I have noticed on a few toons levelling up they always seem to have issues with completing "By Any Means Necessary" where you interact with Empoor and beat him up a bit.

I have noticed this on a few characters where my toons simply just follow him on his loop. Sometimes for hours.

On my next toon at this level - I will try to get a log if it happens again. :)

I've just hit 58 after grinding the last level. It auto loaded 58-68 Profile but it took me to the flying mount vendor in SW, bought a mount and then just attempted to learn it unsuccessfully and got stuck.

from level 80 I have to watch the bot every single hour, (i come back every 1 hour and character is guaranteed stucked)
so yeah this isn't afk bot as stated, and takes more time because of stuck.
maybe faster if you seat in front of the computer and watch the bot to help unstuck.

Hi, BaconWarrior,

You must be a Druid on a new account (i.e., the account has no mounts on it acquired by other toons, yet). This is a known bug in the MountHook behavior. Please see the details about MountHook here:

Hi, Sangdogg,

As stated in [post=1259963]Reporting Problems or Seeking Assistance[/post], stuck issues are problems with navigation, not the profile. Since most people do not have the extensive navigation issues you describe, we must assume something is wrong with your Honorbuddy installation, or your machine is horribly underpowered (or overloaded) to be botting.

Awesome! Welcome back kick :D

I actually came here to report a problem with a quest thats stuck in a loop and causes being reported.

Quest Name: The Arcanic Oubliette
Location: The Incursion, Krasarang Wilds

Problem: When its sapposed to activate the three gears to remove the purple energy dome, it does not. Instead it runs all the way around to where the 3rd gear is and try's entering inside the dome which causes you to be ported back to the NPC on the opposite side of the dome. It continues this pattern until you stop it. By then any bystander's have already reported you for seeing this. I'm seeing in console log it shows its trying to learn fly from the guy inside the portal but in order to get inside you must first activate the 3 crystals :O

I then went ahead and manualy did this and learned flying then started back up (Not in log), it then got stuck trying to complete a quest from some guy named Khang bamble something which is right outside the energy dome. I had to abandon this quest cause he's only available from BEFORE you unlock the energy dome. So it needs to complete his quest first, then use the 3 crystals to unlock the dome, then learn flying. Once it does it in that order it should have no issues continueing.

This has happend on all of my bots every time this quest comes up. Never even a single time has it succeeded in working, i have always had to manually do that quest. It just needs to use the gears (Crystals x3) and then it would work perfectly.
