We can only guess until we can read the actual case they filed.
I had a very quick look on our german law, and all i found doesn't fit:
- You are not allowed to circumvent copyprotection measures. We don't copy wow, and i doubt they even try to prevent copies.
- You are not allowed to sell tools that can be used to circumvent copyprotection and break into other peoples systems. Thats an issue for all people that want to do a penetration test of their own , to prevent intruders from breaking into their network.
Also doesn't fit.
- We also don't steal blizzards ideas and sell them on our own or even give them away for free, we don't make World of Warcraft available on rapidshare or bittorrent.
So i'm really curious which angle they took at suing our beloved buddyteam.
