Blizzard Has Sued Us

I don't know a thing about German law. I do know that I followed every little thing on the MDY case that was publicly available.

No, Blizz (at least in the MDY case) could not sequester/ get nor have, all the paying members of Gliders names ranks and serial numbers. The courts were quick to squash that, even though Blizzard lawyers did monetarily try. So it'll probably be the same thing in a German court if it's tried (Which I really doubt it will be if I were a betting person).

I won't say a thing about the comment from the American Haters. Other than: Just know that there is a truth to "money rules", EVERYWHERE! If you don't buy/believe that! Then you live in a closet with the lights out, no matter where you live in the world. Either that, or you've not traveled this world and simply don't have a clue. Now will it prove to be the determining factor or a part of it in this situation! No one knows till it's over. But dont' arbitrily throw it out of the equation, just because you conjured up some fanatical reason in your mind to hate Americans.

And if you bought this program Life time or otherwise, and were so naive to not think that what happened to MDY wouldn't eventually make it here! Then you live with that other person in the closet.

In any case, I don't like nor agree with what Blizz is doing here or what they did with MDY. In my book , at the end of the day, it's simply wrong. The more times Blizzard wins things like this, the more power of dictatorship they gain.

Good luck, but like others, I think it's just a matter of time until HB is in the sunk boat that MDY is now in. But I always hold out hope, that sooner or later, there will be a judge that isn't a lunatic and put Blizz on their backside like they should be.

Just remember that Piratebay is still around and bigger than ever, and you know who sued them back in Sweden all those years ago? The USG back by MPA and countless other NGOs, corporations etc. and guess what? Nothing happened. :p

There are good people in the world, not swayed by money. So keep your pesimism and your money/power mongering.

anyways, being signed up to a bot site does not = botting on your blizzard account. Might give them a pool to watch but they would still have to catch you.

Don't worry, privacy law in Germany is insanely strict. You need a license to even put up a camera outside your own residence. They have zero change of pressuring Bossland to give up his client list and they should know that already, trust me in the fact that GB has little to worry about. That's what I am interested to know on what grounds they are suing. Copyright infringement is an entirely different ball game in Germany. They would first have to prove the product is licensed under German law and not sold and even in doing so, unlike the US, there exists no Digital Millennium Copyright Act whereby they can restrict access to their own intellectual property rights. They would have to defend their product as being entirely unique and we all know Blizzard invented trolls goblins and gnomes.

It would be nice if Germany did have such a law because then Disney could be sued for ripping off the brothers Grimm.

I can't help but laugh. You take one case (not in germany) and weigh your whole fanatical fantasy need to hate Americans and bend it all to one case out of what! Thousands perhaps millions, where money was a factor and has indeed been a factor in many things, including court cases even in the days of old of Europe and today in Europe. I could care less if you stay a hater of Americans. I care nothing if you stay living in your cave. But I do find you hysterically funny with your need to hate.

oke .... here is mine idea.............
If a company like BSH (bosch siemens household) tells you to only use Calgon soap ..... its illegal.
If Xerox tells you to only use Xerox copier paper ....... Its illegal.
If Blizz only tells you to use your own bloody hands ........ it illegal
Basicly the blizzard TOS isnt law..... people should be able to choice how to use there product and with what 3th party product .....

Nobody here hates Americans, nor has anybody said so. I like American people and many things about America. My mother is American and I am a dual national.*

I don't agree with how the legal system is in the states. I think it's unfair and it favors people with money. It allows murderers to run free and imprisons people for silly things like smoking cannabis. I also don't like the the mentality that money equals power, which in America is true.

You're here with your special inflated font telling me I'm a bad person and that I'm blind. Lol.

Sure, I only mentioned one case out of the millions, but you know what? That was the mother of all intellectual infringements lawsuits ever, and it eclipses all thoses preceding and thus far following. Furthermore, it demonstrates that even against the most incredible wealth and power of the world (the US Government) even the smallest underdog can stand a chance.

Actually one could argue his comments were an indictment of the American legal system where money does appear to be more important than what is just. You are the one chose to interpret it as a slur on the American people as a whole. It seems your opinion is balanced by the chip on both shoulders.

I for one quite like Americans but you would have to pay me all the American Bond debt to China to get me to live there because your legal and social practices favour the Big fish and not the ordinary individual. Hell I know third world countries who have better health care. In Europe we call this civilized social responsibility but you had McCarthy to make it impossible to talk about what is fair without being branded a communist.

Anyway, on topic, the Swedish stance on copyright infringement is not too far different from German law. It isn't just one case, it's the ONLY European case that is remotely similar. You need to remove those blinkers and start considering there is a world where legal systems are fair and just. How can Blizzard even hope to claim intellectual property over concepts they've ripped off lock stock and barrel?

Germany can decide within a couple of weeks to close down all nuclearplants.

Printing a few papers takes about the same amount of time.

Also i'm sure Blizz won't file a lawsuit unless they have an ace up their sleeve.

imo if this gets shut down, whiptail will be a hell of alot more expensive, lets hope i can gear up my shaman and learn to play warrior properly before the big boom.... i truly hope it wont happen and i wish you the best of luck!!! this bot is what keeps me playing wow and has made me hundreds of thousands of gold in a matter of a few weeks. im loving this and i hope it will never get shut down, if you are acting in accordance to german laws i dont see how blizz can shut you down, maybe they can prevent you from distributing your product in the US??

anyways, i wish you the best of luck and truly hope you will come out of this stronger!
 
I think blizzard can sue any bot company doesend matther if its from us or eu or germany or china if they want they get it down but i think they just let botters bot all the time to get their moneys then when they have enough they sue bot companys wel gladly i stil have a main char i cant lvl again fuck that the boring grind shit. and questing how can it be that fps hack makers never get sued by ea like x22 hacks or helios im playing with those aimbot from 2009?
