[PAID] BGFarmer - An Advanced Battleground Bot Base

Hey Millz, I've just this morning purchased your BotBase and with regards to movement I really like it so far. There are a few things I've noticed though and maybe this is not related to the botbase but I'll mention it anyway.

1. I've completed a few SoTA runs so far and often it's the case where my toon prioritizes enemy players over objectives like destroying the demolishers. It also happened a few times that my toon would run down to where the boat docks when defending, then just before the enemy players got off the boat my toon would run back up to the first gate. Overall I think it would be good to have behavior to prioritize tactics over actual combat and only enter combat when necessary e.g. I'm on my way to the gate with a bomb and I get snared so my chances of getting to the gate and setting off the bomb as slim, as a result then dismount and start attacking.

2. I have noticed that even though healer priority is turned on, healers are not priority targets.

3. When my toon is attacking a target and that target gets to low health, and another enemy comes along and attacks me, my toon will target the new enemy that just attacked me regardless of if my previous target was at 5% health (this has happened a few times)

Let me know what your thoughts on these points are :)

1) It'll always favourite combat when enemy units get in range. If you reduce the targeting scan range down from the default of 60 to something like 20/30, it'll get in combat less often. I know about the running back to gate thing, will be fixed in next build hopefully.

2) Need a log for this. If you've got the other settings enabled (poor gear, low HP) then it'll prefer them first. Best off having 1 of the 3 settings enabled if you specifically want to go after healers.

3) Need a log for this to see why it's doing it.

Does this functionality work outside of bgs? I haven't been able to test it because I haven't had any time to play today. I'm asking because I want to use your botbase for a pocket healer in world pvp and a few other things.

Hey -Only works within BGs, sorry.

Millz I'm loving the Bot Base so far, and any of the bugs I noticed seem to of been posted already and are being fixed.

Do you plan to add more BG Specific options like you do for WSG and AV? Specifically on my rogue my combat routine will use stealth often if not all the time and on Temple of Kotmogu he will run up grab orb, and then drop it immediately from stealthing. So I think it would be great to turn on or off picking up orbs, also does the BGFarmer focus people carrying orbs right now?

Which CR are you using that auto stealths? You need to ask the CR dev to stop that from happening.

I do intend on expanding on those options though - different options being enabled/disabled helps to randomize bot behaviour amongst others.

BGFarmer does prefer targets that are carrying orbs, and will specifically go after them.
 
I've purchased this an hour ago. Works well, but it i dont like the movement when its attacking players. It runs in circles and its sticked to the target like glue. I'm using BGFarmer as movement type, but ive also tried Tuanha's profile to move the bot. Strafing doesnt work? Am i doing something wrong?

I've got a fix for the circling. You can disable the strafing on the movement tab for now though.
 
Thanks. Where is that fix? Or did u mean that the disabling strafing the fix is?

You can disable strafing in the GUI now (movement tab). I'm going to make some changes to try and prevent the running in circles stuff.
 
It doesnt seem like blacklists are working. I put a blacklist location in the standard spot to stand in towers in av and it still stacks with 2-4 people botting. Also added some blackspots to some weird nav areas and it still goes there.
 
You can disable strafing in the GUI now (movement tab). I'm going to make some changes to try and prevent the running in circles stuff.

plz do something against runing in circle...it helps nothing to disable i...the bot react same
 
Quick question, just bought it and the bot wont mount at graveyards, any ideas?

Edit: Just seems to be in AV and no other BG? Random i know.. :)

Will increase the range of where to stand in the towers. Should prevent stacking. The blackspot stuff works, you may need to increase the radius if you want to blacklist a whole area. By default it's very small - but just enough to make the toon pick a different path. Just don't do something silly like blacklisting a choke point :)

I've got a fix in the new version that's not on the store yet. Tested the melee combat last night and it looks pretty good.

*Edit* Also, if anyone wants to test the beta version, will be running a lot of BGs, and has Skype, then post in here and I'll PM a few of you with details. I've got about 10 slots free I think.

Hello i love youre botbase its awesome and much more advanced then bgbuddy.

But i noticed that sometime on sota i gets stuck when trying to go get bombs on the second level.

and when defending it runs down to the ships but then when the ship is about to dock it mounts and runs up to the gate and stand there is it supposed to do that?

Getting stuck -> need a log for that - screenshots would help too (but make sure you censor out any names!).

The running to docks thing is a bug that I'm aware of.

BGFarmer's movement has a little bug in it at the moment, but is fixed in the next build (which I'm aiming to push today). After that I'd recommend using the movement in BGFarmer instead of the CR.

Some general feedback as a long time user of bgfarmer:

-It is 1000 x better than BGbuddy
-Can basically do random BG without fear of looking like a bot.

However,
-It fights with feral combat routines including singular. Constant spam of "trying to cancel catform" causes the character to shift in and out of cat form for no reason. I played with the settings of the CRs and the bot and couldn't get it to stop. I fixed this by speccing healer ;)
-For AV, I feel the bot's logic is getting too advanced where it won't stay in a tower anymore because it decides a different tower is more important. When the bot was first released it would go kill galv-> go IB Tower and stay there till it burned. Now it goes galv -> ibtower -> 'oh wait lets go tower point instead' -> tower point -> 'wait nevermind IB tower was a good idea' meanwhile getting caught in the middle between the two towers with the NPCs that walk the roads between them. It would be great for it to stick to IBT or TP till burn instead of running between the two because it feels there isn't enough ally at a particular tower. Particularly because all the BGbuddys swarm into IBTower, run half way up the stairs then leave.
-Is there a way for the bot to jump off a tower instead of running down stairs? 99% of human controlled players will jump off a tower not take the stairs.
-Sometimes it attacks drek way too early, but it isn't as bad as the BGbuddys who suicide in lol

Other than that it's fantastic! This bot plus MrGearBuyer = happy days. Keep up the good work :) (Also I use your Portal Mage routine which is awesome aswell.)

Here's a log for point 2 and I saw this line in the log: [10:20:51.429 D] [BGFarmer ~ Debug] Target Lvl 90 Alliance Priest isn't targeting us, but Lvl 90 Alliance Warrior is attacking us. Re-evaluating targets.

The priest was only a couple of yards away from me and healing the warrior.

As for point 3 it happens often enough and I think I know why, thinking about the line from the log I included above. If the target I'm attacking stops attacking me, regardless of how low HP it has left, if another target comes in and attacks me then it will switch to the target which is attacking me. Just a guess though but I think you should find evidence of that somewhere in the log :)

1. Start HB with BgFarmer as botbase.
2. Stop HB
3. Change botbase to something else
4. Start HB
5. This in log:

It`s been long time since i decompiled any of hb products sources, but this looks awful. Why don`t You clean all handlers in OnDeselected method, cuz this may cause some performance troubles.

I'll need a log for the catform thing. Will take a look at the towers - there's a priority order on which to capture, so unless there's a lot of people defending the tower you're in, it shouldn't move to the other one.

Haven't got a way to make it run off the top of the tower yet, but is something I'd like to add.

I'll increase the range on those checks before it switches target. It's probably a little too strict at the moment, especially for melee characters.

The code to detach from the lua events is in there (attached to event OnBotStopped), however it looks like it's not firing correctly. I'll forcefully trigger the event. Will be fixed in next update - but don't worry about performance, it'll have barely any impact.
