Banwave goes out targeting AH bot users

I concur. There's a line between botting gold for self gains and botting AH to ruin it for everyone else.
 
DB gold sellers got banned, hopefully the rest of us will be fine.

Whats the source, non-hotlinked. How do they determine that? I transfer all gold to a gold holding account....is that gonna be flagged as gold selling? If so im gonna be in trouble.

^ Not as much. We db users are drop in the sea with our farmed gold. But AH bot buying everything cheap and reselling at higher price has much bigger effect on economy.

They "ruin" the economy on different levels. A bot that kills a monster over and over again takes a lot longer to make gold and find good items than a bot that sits and scans the auction house and buys very sought after items for dirt cheap. It's different, the fact that you don't understand that is kind of sad.
 
AH botters are a completely different level of wrong to gold farming botters, anyone who disagrees is a tool, no offence.

It's like shoplifting and armed robbery, both wrong, one worse than the other and before I get quoted by some idiot who think's I'm a hypocrite for stating this I would just like you to sit back in your chair and think about it for a second, It's the reason there's been a banwave so fast, because it's so fucked up.

It's fair enough to say its wrong, I believe my botting is like Robin hood, I rob the rich (blizzard) and give to the poor (myself and mates). So far the actual in game drops have dwarfed what ive made from gold find botting haha.
AH botting is way crazy, its almost stupid actually, sure you might make alot of gold, but you also pay alot more gold for the same items.
FOr eg,
10 x Item 1 real value (not botted and resold etc) is 20k. good deal. Everyone sells at that price.
10 x Item 1 gets found by that bot, buys it and puts up for 500k. Everyone sells at that price.
Botter that finds them goes oooh cool - goes to buy perfect item, WTF 200 million gold. oh ok i can afford that, uses all the money he has to buy it.
that peferect item would have been 25million without himself.
 
Botting is botting, no matter what you're botting. You're sitting on a botting website, saying bots are bad. AH bots buy dirt cheap items, because people put them up for that. You're telling me that you're going to find one of these items, before one of the other million players playing finds it? Really?

Botting is botting, no matter which way you look at it. We're ruining the economy, look at the how much the price of gold has dropped because of bots.
 
Ah botting is for me a step higher then the regular gold/items botting, this way you are actually messing with the whole AH and RMAH, and since blizzard has been sued from many different countries for RMAH and its fails to provide all customers in the same way, they i believe have decided to watch it a bit more closely.
Farming in game for items with bots will always be present, but impacting a game in this way is far more damaging and can cause severe problems as the real money is involved.

So using a bot to farm items to sell for RMAH, and gold to sell, that's ok?

If you had a choice which bot would you rather have? Obviously wouldn't be an AH bot would it?

brb can't buy any cheap gear on AH as it's getting sniped constantly
brb economy getting fucked faster than regular botting
brb rmah getting fucked over due to ah botters flipping items on the cheap 24/7
brb all items surging upwards in gold
brb forced to buy items for real money as there's no good gear that's cheap gold or decently priced.
