the worst pp will do to your account due to chargebacks is disable all payments to the vendor (in this case, Blizzard) so they don't have to deal with it anymore.

if you're opening a dozen charge backs every few months it's probably going to be a redflag, but yeah as a casual botter you're not going to have to worry

i don't do chargebacks though, simply because I usually make enough gold (in WoW token worth) by the time I'm banned, I only bot for my main account (which benefits from this gold) and for level/establishing alts... and I get the account back after the suspension so I'm okay with being banned.

hopefully they don't call it quits here though, with the money woes and all the charge backs honorbuddy must be facing, I'm worried that we'll never even see an update :l

I checked the HB front page to make sure it was a banwave and not a direct user report, but then I just ragequit in frustration at having finally geared up to raid and then getting banned. You know it's bad when it's too much work to BOT it lol :)

I've chargedbacked wow each time, it's been fine. I use a diff credit card each time too though.

I was hit back in November with a 6 month. Bought a new HB key on 1/20/17 along with a fresh account. Been suicide botting since, already have two chars above 870. Full quested 1-110 etc. However I was banned just hours before the banwave seemed to start for multiple name-change reports. I had my name reported THREE times, changed it to the same name each time to clarify (Three emails about it). I got a 24 hour ban for this, that just expired 2/1/17 around 5pm EST. My suicide bot account is safe currently, and I can't help but think maybe it's because I was already suspended when the banwave hit......

So I noticed before I got the email that before the last patch the game would show a green circle like it was downloading something in the background. I think this had something to do with the bot detection they ninja patch you and get you while the client has not had time to update for the new detection method. I also noticed that a monster was placed somewhere and the bot followed it and I was unable to get it in time to not follow the obvious admin move. The same green circle of doom happened during the last ban wave I was in as well. They are just ninja patching the game while people are playing to catch the bot. Somehow completely avoiding tripwire while doing it as well.

I noticed that to. I had the green circle (background downloader indicator) in the background but I had already downloaded the patch completely. I thought it was a glitch or something because even with client closed and restarted the green circle wouldn't go away and the patch was done.
So perhaps it did have something to do with the detection?

Now this is interesting. I was using the resources monitor when I noticed the same on 3 bot accounts at that point
the wow was sending more b/s than normal. Reception was the same.
I could state this happen like 2 weeks ago.
background downloader was disabled as port blocked. no needed update.
the game became laggy and fixed itself after a few minutes

Thanks bossland! When you stole my money and took away my lifetime key, i didnt buy anything else from you and i avoided the ban wave! I'd like to say I feel bad for the others who bought the product again only to get banned but hey, stuff happens.

Hah! I got fooled last time, haven't botted since the banwave before this. This banwave just proves my suspicion, HB era is dead

Ahahahahahaaaaa, and HB keeps going down in flames. Should've started to work on the issues since they started to banwave every ½ year.

rip the dream of ever again in WoW be able to get away with boring "must do" stuf.. rip HB.

I hate being negative about this bot because after all, what other options do we have?? But I really think this bot is dead for the casual user. When we got banned every 6 month, fine, we had our fun and got our monies worth. Now every 2-3 month? Really doesn't seem worth paying for all the expansions and then spending weeks trying to build your account back up just top get banned again... The causal user bots because we want to cut out the boring stuff and keep up with the losers who spend all day and night playing.

No point trying to keep up if you have to start all over again and again every few months.

This is actually horrible news, normally I am one of the few who dont mind ban waves at all, but this.... this is a grim signal for the future.... we use to go 6 months between waves, this... this was 2. I fear this could be game ladies and gentleman

One should take a 2-3 week break after each patch to see if there was a detection mechanic that was missed ;)
Getting back after a ban is impossible if you want to participate in the end game at this rate :(

As of now, I've not been hit by the hammer so far. But I have not played the game for a good 15 days and I've been using CR and AFK'ing WQ before that on a regular base. Unless I get pounded in the next days, this might mean that the bot was detected in the last two weeks of january.

Edit: 1/2 suspended 6mo. It's the one I botted the most on. so far the other one is ok, waiting to see if there is a suspension coming in the next days.

I think that great pattern for bot detection is usage of 32 bit client of the game, it's very easy to detect that you running 32 bit client and it's easy for them to get sys info, that you are running game on 64 bit OS and it's logicaly pretty unusual. So HB team keep telling us, that there are no reason in development of 64 bit version of HB .

Lol.
They wont ban you for running a 32 bit client on a 64 bit machine, simple as that.

HB is detected, end of story.
