[Plugin] Giles Stash & Loot Rule Replacer

using 1.8.5, using no other plugin ...

Try using world object handler (another plugin by me), and enable the option in that plugin config to "Disable Loot Rule Filters". Post back when you try this please and let me know results (and new log with that option & that plugin selected).

I think it might be because of newest DB loot-rule changes, I'll see if the very very small, sample loot-rule on post #1 needs updating. But if you use "Disable Loot Rule Filters" in world object handler plugin, then it won't even load your loot-rules so it won't matter!

(make sure you also have selected "Use Giles Filters Below:" in Stash Replacer config)

Tbh the point of the plugins is so you don't need any loot-rules. If you have World Object handler set to "Disable Loot Rule Filtering" - then you can just load in Demonbuddy's built in "default" loot-rules, they'll be ignored. Stash Replacer pickup filters will do all the item handling. People should only be trying to run with loot-rules if they are using a plugin that is incompatible (eg AGB Sarkoth, Inrego Sarkoth, Stove Treasure Goblin Hunter) - in which case they need custom loot-rules, and with the new DemonBuddy, they'll need updated loot-rules.

If you aren't using one of those 3 incompatible plugins, then let me know why you are trying to use custom loot-rules instead of disabling them altogether through my plugins, and I can see if I can help :)
 
Is it only since updating to newest DemonBuddy, or with older version too? And yes a full log would be great - doesn't have to be a gigantic log... if you just run DB, let it start up with the plugins enabled and watch (hold left-ctrl) the items that drop - if it BLATANTLY ignores some items (ie there's no monsters in range for it to chase, and it just outright ignores loot several times) - then stop the bot and send me the log to that point (rather than sending me 3 hours worth of a log-file :P). It'll help me see what's going on!

Dunno actually, just got itemstats today so havent been keeping track but it feels like it skips more than usual today.

thing is though, I'm not an expert with DB yet i've only had it for a short period of time and I want the bot to pick up all the rares, gems, tomes, etc and when I use your stuff it doesn't do that : / unless I really don't know what the hell im doing (which is entirely possible).
 
i reinstalled 3 clean demonbuddy ... with 1.8.5 nad ur GilesStashblahblah.xml and the default config ... except all gems activated ... and started the bots again ... lets see if they hang again in town ... in a few hours ....

The plugin will do it. As long as you install it correctly. Install Stash Replacer, and World Object Handler, and go into the "Config" window of both. In World Object handler, set "Disable Loot Rule Filtering" and save. In Stash Replacer config, make sure "Use Giles Filters Below" is selected and make sure tomes/gems etc. are ticked. As long as you have installed correctly, are using a clean install of DemonBuddy, and aren't using an incompatible plugin (check 1st post for list of these & other common faults people have), it should all work perfect - and if it doesn't, logfiles might let me help you find the cause of the issue.

Keep in mind this plugin is designed for inferno farming - so if you're finding it ignoring low-level gems, or low-level tomes/potions etc., then that'd be your answer :P

Don't worry m8,I am no expert when it comes to bots,I had the same problem as you,I am sure you are missing something,I followed Gilesmith's instructions to the letter and the bot loots everything as it used to,just check again,if it worked for me,I am sure it will work for you too
 
ok ... not more then 5 min and it stands again still lopping in doing nothing until auto restart after 1 minute idle....

Noticed you are on Act 2 - could be something causing an issue specifically in Act 2. Have you tried an Act 1 routine? I'll go check out Act 2 tonight/later and see if I can find problems here - could you tell me which quest (and which stage of quest) you are starting, so I can have the town in Act 2 set the same as yours (since different quests in Act 2 have vendors in different places).
 
ok so it did miss 1 rare just now but it was almost out of the screen so dunno if the distance was to far. I went back with my barb and it did pick it up then, so it wasnt as obvius as the other ones.

btw is there any way to increase the the range for what it discovers?

Noticed you are on Act 2 - could be something causing an issue specifically in Act 2. Have you tried an Act 1 routine? I'll go check out Act 2 tonight/later and see if I can find problems here - could you tell me which quest (and which stage of quest) you are starting, so I can have the town in Act 2 set the same as yours (since different quests in Act 2 have vendors in different places).

i used ur version i think 1.4 for 1-2 weeks and i had no problem in act2 it was with the lootrules ...
 
Ok so it happened now, killed an elite pack and it pick up 2 of the rares but left an ilvl 62 pants on the ground. The bot was very close and there was no monsters around

Both the plugin, and DemonBuddy itself, has changed quite a lot since those versions :)


ok so it did miss 1 rare just now but it was almost out of the screen so dunno if the distance was to far. I went back with my barb and it did pick it up then, so it wasnt as obvius as the other ones.
btw is there any way to increase the the range for what it discovers?

The range is determined by your demonbuddy loot-radius setting in settings tab - note that most routines set these themselves (eg Act 1 inferno farmer sets this and changes it based on the part of the map you are in - smaller range for tight corridors, larger range for open maps) - loot radius is nothing to do with me! :D

As for missing items - as long as it's rarely then we can cope with that, I have a feeling it's either an issue with DemonBuddy memory reading (mis-reading the item's level), or DemonBuddy failing to interact with the item correctly - I've seen it happen myself once or twice. I'll keep watching out for it and keep trying to think of ways of adding failsafes to minimize this happening, and see if there's anything else I can do my end - but I think we might be at the whim of DemonBuddy here (still not sure yet as it happens so rarely for me!).

If it's simply down to when lots of items drop at once, then it's probably something I'll be able to fix my end... see if you can work out what causes it more often than not, and post back if you think you find a reliable way of forcing it to happen!

The DemonBuddy API is what causes many, many bugs - it gives false info, mis-reads information, and is extremely unreliable. It doesn't support all item types fully (and 1st version of my plugin came out with support for all class-specific items before DB ever supported them). There's very good reasons I've spent a long time writing custom code, and the instability, unreliability, and bugs of DemonBuddy are most of those reasons ;). Not to mention that even if it was bug-free, it's only this very newest version that provided any facility to tap into replacing loot-rule checks. IsTwoSquareItem is one of the biggest offendors of bugs, and causes MANY infinite loot bugs and infinite stash bugs in DemonBuddy. Reinventing the wheel? Nah, I just took a puncture tyre and repaired it, then gave it alloys. Finally, until DemonBuddy, I'd never programmed before - the most complex thing I'd done on a computer was some funky Excel formulas. I think I've done pretty well. You're free to just not use my plugin, and use some loot-rules and let DemonBuddy handle all your stashing and item pickups if you don't like the idea of people reinventing a broken wheel though - I'm providing these free alternatives as user-choice, and then spending many more hours trying to fix people's problems and provide support. I'm not asking for anything, but there's some things I definitely DON'T want... ;)

There's no errors or anything appearing in the log, so we're into another realm with tracking it down I'm afraid. 1.8.6 will be out probably later on tonight though, so hang on and try that - I've done some little tweaks to try and help pinpoint the exact stage it decides to ignore an item, to hopefully find out whether it's DemonBuddy playing up, the plugin, or a combination of both - so logs from 1.8.6 will be more useful! 1.8.6 will also include some serious stat recording - both for items dropped and picked up, which will help count exactly how many items of any quality level it's actually failing to pick up (as well as providing interesting stats on your item drops per hour, item level % drops, quality % drops etc.)
