Simple tips how to run archeage in vmware

Shut down the VM completely and then edit the values and save. Does that work?
if you suspend the GuestOs it wont save correctly.

Thanks for the awsome guide ! this is a first one that actually halped to get AA running. However i'm getting a different issue. When I'm running AA in VM and game in focus runs smothly, no issues, as soon as I switch to AA on my main PC AA in VM start to lag badly very badly I can even see it from my main character. I'm running pretty good VM config, 8 gigs ram , 2x4 CPU. Has anyone seen anything like this ? its making close to imposible to use VM with main char AA on host system. and this happens only AA in focus on the host system, not anything else, so if I use browser, no lag in AA in VM. if I open second window AA in VM lag goes very bad, but system resources are almost not utilized.

Fixes by replacing Win 8.1x64 with Win 7 x64, seems to be running fine, the only issue that I have noticed is if game gets disconnected and I close archbuddy game crashes :S

a) did you replace all entried in registy ?
b) did you update .vmx file with lines from the first post ?

that was happening for me when one of those two steps were missing

thx, its working, but i cant move my camera properly with my mouse, any sollution?

Does not start game

Host : windows 7 x64, 8GB ram, AMD FX-4100 4x4.1GHz (overclocked)
Guest: vmware workstation 10, windows 8.1 x64, 4GB ram, 3 core, all maked by you guide, registry cleaned (nothing about vmware SVGA).

Trouble: game does not start - push start button in gliph and nothing, 2-3sec delay and button will be red again. Anyone have ideas?

did you update .vmx file ? seems like you didn't and make sure all changes were saved.

I had to use an offline registry editor in order to remove the one line @oem9... but besides that it worked exactly as described.

What is, and how do you use "offline registry editor" in VMWare?

https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-edit-windows-registry-key-values-without-booting-in-windows/ and Hiren's: Boot CD: Booting a Windows VM into Hiren's as references.

I used the PC Regedit iso. First link teaches you how to edit the registry offline and the 2nd link teaches you how to boot up into a .iso from your Windows VM.

So I was finally able to edit it offline and get them all removed, but when I booting my VMachine back up, windows wanted to repait it's self... and it un-did the changes i had made

You only want to edit that one value that is in the first post. The rest of the ones you switch the values to your host gfx card.

I have been trying for long time but cant delete the registery..

Alright so when i paste the text into the VMX file the VMX wont load up and in vmware it doesnt exist...
I figured this was because of the registry fix in the next step but i cant find anything on SVGA or at line at all anywhere in the registry.
i tryed deleting the pasted text in vmx, and doing regedit inside vmware, and still cant find those lines.. i tryed the offline registry editor, i still cant find them..
so im lost. i dont know what to do. xD

Did you install vmware tools? Search VMware SVGA 3D inside the vm.

I dont know about others, I used VMWare Workstation 11.
