Simple tips how to run archeage in vmware

I run 3 Archeage clients in VMWare 9. I configure each VM to 1 processor, 2 cores with 2gb of memory and 60gb hard drive. Run the VM client at minimum graphics. But the main client (the 4th) I run at max settings. My computer is not that powerful, a AMD FX 6300 overclocked to 4.4ghz. 16gb ram with a SSD raid for main drive, the VM run on a single SSD also a AMD R9 270X GPU. With all 3 VM client running and my main client running, my CPU runs around 80%, memory runs around 80%.

The key i think is to spread out the cpu load to all the cores. FX6300 is a 6 core so each VM uses 2/6 cores. The main client will use the remaining processing power of all 6 cores. Something you need to do is when you are not actually using one of your VM account make sure to minimize it, do the full bag opening purses trick to prevent the client logging off. When all your VM are running make sure they are minimized and then minimize the VM machine itself.

Once you install the first VM and get Archeage installed and running properly, you can copy the VM multiple times to get your 2nd, 3rd or more VM. Just make sure to generate a new MAC for the copied VM.
If you get the error about not running on a virtual machine, edit your video type in the registry of the VM OS, there are many how to in a google search.

Three virtual machine F2P Archeage clients running 24/7 and and Patron client running 24/7 and I still don't get enough labor....

did all of above ie regedit removed all of the instances of vmware svga well changed them all to GTX 660 although 2 keep coming back it seems when i reboot.
Also used offline reg editor and removed the oem line in when i try run archeage from glyph it says can't be ran in a virtual machine. Any ideas why i am getting that? VMWARE 11 I also did all the edits to the vm file as suggested at start of this post. But I did remove the line starts with monitor as i read that that disables vmware tools.
Any ideas of what i might have to do to get this to work?

hmm seems putting the line
monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true"
Actually makes it not think its a vm and it is loading archeage now.

So, I been trying to get this working. Used Windows 8.1 pro 32bit, I installed archage, VMware tools installed, and it says that my graphics driver is updated. I changed the settings in the .vmx file to what was listed, I deleted the registry code but changing ownership to user instead of OWNER, and I restarted my Guest OS (Oh, and I also installed dx9 offline), and now when I try to boot up my screen flickers like crazy and wont get by the welcome menu where you select your user. The way to fix the flickering is to change monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true" to "False", but of course that doesn't fix the problem at hand. This is a necessary piece of date to bypass the glyph's scan.

Any help or suggestions? At this point, I'm guessing that my problem has something to do with my graphics settings and the way my dx9 is set up.

try changing your graphics settings to performance instead of quality? for 3d and also power? Shouldn't have to change any settings in dx9 just install latest version of it and it works here. Change the vid settings on main comp to performance is what i meant and can't hurt to do that in the vm as well. All i did was do everything in the settings at start of this post and change vid settings to performance and away it went. Oh turn off firewall and windows defender as well as anything you don't need running as well.

Are you talking about in game? I can't get the VM booted after the directexec vmx code.

Could someone give me download link to correct VMWare for x64 system? Here or private message. Huge thx!

Yeah, I tried reinstalling my VM to try to get this to work.

Windows 8.1 32bit.
Booting from VM 11,10,9, all three did not work.
I follow this guilde to T up to the point where you input driverexc = True, and after that there is a huge hang time at the user select screen of my guest OS. When I try login it flickers and doesnt do anything. I saw the desktop screen ONCE, but then it went back to the login user screen.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is this specifically a Driverexec line issue? Any responses/suggestions are appreciated.

where do you see this driverexec line? and if there is a line that you input like that where are you putting it and when does it ask you to etc? Maybe your spelling it wrong if it is indeed needed?
As for changing graphic settings i mean in your os in your graphics card main os as well as inside the vm.
I use windows 7 for my (guest)vm, i use win 8.1 as the os on the host computer.

Pretty sure i am running 32bit vmware though with 64bit os's as main and guest.

Nah, its the stuff you copy and paste into the .vmx file, the line of code that OP puts on the first page. It's the last line.

svga.vramSize = 268435456
monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true"
isolation.tools.getPtrLocation.disable = "true"
isolation.tools.setPtrLocation.disable = "true"
isolation.tools.setVersion.disable = "true"
isolation.tools.getVersion.disable = "true"
monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true"
SMBIOS.reflectHost = "TRUE"

Edit: Well. second last anyway

my free trial on wmware has finished, can i somehow get it for free again?

My problem is i cant find anything in the registry, i use regedit cant find sgva anywhere, and i try using an offline registry editor it just has all the same stuff and no sgva.
hirens boot CD doesn't even have a menu so i can only access the normal regedit in minixp was well.
i have done everything over and over tried using different operating systems reinstalling vm tools multiple times
nothing works.. i cant find any data that contain SGVA

If you've successfully updated your drivers on you VMware with VMware Tools, like OP tells you to do, then the SVGA registry entry should be there.

You're looking in the Regedit or the VM OS right? And not on your Host OS that you're running the VM from. You need to edit the VM registry only.

This is my vmx contents. Windows 7 64bit running VMware version 9.0.0 build-812388. I have not updated it for various legal reasons. I run 3 virtual machines each with its own proxy. Only other thing i had to change was one registry setting, replacing the VM graphics adapter name with the actual one, it was in current control set 01 for me. Also when I copied the original virtual machine I had to regenerate the MAC address. Make sure you edit the registry on the VM OS, also you HAVE to update the VM windows with all the mandatory updates. Archeage will not run without the updates applied to windows That's it.

Can you share your virtual machine by torrent etc?

Can you share your virtual machine by torrent etc?

Well I am not willing to give out the Windows key I use on my virtual machines. However if you can pm me with a Windows 7 Pro x64 key that I can put in the VM I make available then it's possible. There will be differences due to my pc being different to yours, but Windows should detect the few hardware changes easy enough. Worse case scenario the VM races causing your CPU to melt, shortly followed by a wisp of smoke then a rather loud pop leading to a full on raging fire.

We have similar computers. Without the key, not activated?

I'm willing to give someone 5 bucks to tap into my computer and get this thing working for me. We can chat via ts or vent or over Teamviewer.

Anyone wanna take this offer?

My problem is i cant find anything in the registry, i use regedit cant find sgva anywhere, and i try using an offline registry editor it just has all the same stuff and no sgva.
hirens boot CD doesn't even have a menu so i can only access the normal regedit in minixp was well.
i have done everything over and over tried using different operating systems reinstalling vm tools multiple times
nothing works.. i cant find any data that contain SGVA

Sounds like your searching on the host os instead of the registry inside the vm for the svga?
You can use the minixp regedit to edit the registry of the vm you boot your vm into hirens and load minixp you need to do this in vmware not your main operating system.
Once in minixp run regedit and highlight the hkey_local_machine and goto the file menu and choose load hive
once you do that you need to select the drive your os is on it should be C: then goto windows\system32\config folder and find a file named SYSTEM and load that as your hive
it will ask you for a name input anything i used temp1 then once it loads that hive search for what you need to change and change it according to the list at start of this post ie the oem lines which you can't change by running regedit on the os in the vm when your booted into it.
The other svga lines you can search in regedit when booted into your vm and change them to whatever vid card name you decide to use GTX 660 works fine for most even if your main os doesn't use that one.

Hirents programs menu link at desktop Registry -> Registry editor PE
