Simple tips how to run archeage in vmware

Hello. Since 1.7 start blinking image. Does someone have the same? any ideas how to fix it?

I have the same issue, seems to be something related to the cursor. I have spent many hours trying different things to no resolve, you are not alone.

Reinstalled windows to 7 and now the game crashes at 100%. Is possible somehow solve the problem?

So i did all like in OP post BUT
with this - monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true", vmtools dont work
when you delete this line in vmx file, tools work, but the game wont pass hackshield
and without tools its almost impossible to play
help pls
i use VMware 11 and win 7x64

Runs fine on my laptop with that line in and tools lot loaded. did you try lowering the settings in game? esp now that out fixed it to not load default high settings etc?

lowest settings possible, but without drivers its like slideshow, 5 fps max...
its something wrong with tools and vmx file (when its corrupted, tools wont start)
i really dont know what to do, will probably start over
and 1 other thought is that registry lines that you change to GTX is somehow affects the driver VM uses

EDIT: so i did all again and the problem remains
when you edit your vmx file - you tell your VM that its not a VM and the tools can be run only on a VM, so i really cant understand how its done

EDIT 2: i deleted directexec_disable line from vmx file and set hardware compatibility with workstation 9 in edit->preferences
some of that worked, idk exactly what was it

EDIT 3: blinks in 1.7 fixed with fullscreen, windowed mode blinks, fullscreen works perfect

EDIT 4: no, fullscreen doesnt fix it, graphic settings affects blinks (test what settings removes it if you want)
on max settings they go away, but obv you cant play on max settings inside VM

Hmm no idea for sure rail but do you have the vm set to preallocate all the disk space of the vm? a lot of disk writes to keep growing shrinking the vm file size could make it lag a lot etc as well? you should always preallocate the disk for the vm and before you make the vm defrag your hard drive as well. the monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true" i have in mine and no tools loaded like you said and it runs fine although I haven't ran it since 1.7 patch. I have everything set exactly as in first post and worked here. guess i should try it with latest patch but i am not really using a vm now so.

yoo will get hackshield problem if you do not have the line in your vmx file
monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true"
at least pretty sure thats the one that makes hackshield not let you past it.

rail you do not actually need vmware tools to be working ie yes they should be installed but using that line you mentioned that makes them not work doesn't mean the game won't run. Turn all your graphic and power settings to performance instead of quality and in game change in game settings to low and disable some things. You could also disable some unneeded services to help speed things up look at some guides to setting up vm for gaming on the net not just archeage to get better fps maybe. Also run in a window with lower resolution. ie you do not need 1680x1024 to run the bot you should use lower one even as far as 1024x786 or whatever the one close to that is. once game is running and bot running unless its something you need to watch minimize the game to speed it up as well in the vm. don't forget you need to do the performance settings in main os as well as in the vm if you can.

Tried it and it seems to work well untill after i chose server in game, i press Dahuta, it starts to load and after a few seconds "the gods have disconnected me". Anyone know what might be wrong? im running win7 in VMware workstation 11.1

I need some help i did all in this thread and my VM works fine i can open 2 VM at same time but i got the problem with mouse everytime i move my mouse, and everytime after 30 or 40 min open the AA for some reason AA close and is not error is close simple that anyone got this???

there is really no reason to use vmware now is there or do you run some clients in ab without vmware and some in vm not in ab?
