According to this post, they're not making a bot for wildstar?

No offence, but I'd take a dev's word over a mod's any day of the week, especially when that dev has explicitly stated that he is working on it.

I am sure, we all agree with you there but lets just hope your right

As of now, no updates from Apoc or any others yet so *cross fingers*

OMG OMG OMG....

The wait is killing me!!! I already can't stand playing the game because I know that there will be a bot coming out for it.

Don't act like it is released the next days. This will for sure take some weeks. Chill and enjoy the game.

maybe even a full month! However, it would be good if Apoc or Nes could inform us on what stage the bot is atm.

Will defienetly buy that bot. Gosh wildstart is such grind if I ever going to make alt again to 50.

Pvp bgs give good xp but it sucks when you're lvl 15 vs 29lvls. So you need do some questing too.

I just want bg profile and it shouldn't take that long to make compared questing profiles. Pvp is pritty fun though with good xp+items unlike in wow, so I will be 50% play myself.

I would be happy with a working combat bot that would lock on your target and keep him on telegraph sight.

i've never understood the mentality of people that like/need updates on whats happening. like, you know they are making a bot, you know they cant tell you when it will be finished because they dont know themselves... but you still know they are working on it... yet sit there gagging for just a superficial line from someone saying 'oh we did this' even though you know you will not get a ETA date or anything but you so desperately pester for that superficial bit of text anyway.

i just dont get it.

just let them work on it and we'll get it when its done. i'd much prefer the 15 mins to construct an informative post be better spent working on the bot rather than appease the mass of needy kids.

ps, totally psyched about the game and botting.

I think you didn't get the point here.

We are their customers and of course a customer always wants to know, what's going on. Of course, yes i am aware of this, we didn't already pay for something, so concerning the wildstar bot, we aren't really like a customer "waiting" for his product.

As a software developer myself i can tell you, the best relation to a customer is frequently contact! It is all about information/status updates, always! I know it is not 100% comparable but if i get a software project (which is paid at the end) the customer always wants a status. He doesn't care if i say "i finished function xyz" or "i am working on abc" but he just gets the feeling that there is progress and i am not working on another thing.

Based on that point of view, it is absolutely understandable (at least for me) if people ask for a status. I mean he (tsikinator) didn't even ask for an ETA or something, just a status. Nobody can tell me he doesn't even have the time to write small updates on a software project, otherwise i really have to laugh at him... i mean seriously we (my team/company) have to document processes with hundreds of pages of documentation so how hard can it be, to take ~5 minutes every few days writing a little post.

oh i agree that if you have a client its important to involve them in the development process etc as they will have some idea of what they want.

this is not one of those situations.

we are simply waiting for a product that will be finished when its finished, im confident they already know what they are trying to achieve so input from us potential customers is pretty much pointless, and if they did want input im sure they would ask.

so as i said, and you somewhat confirmed, any update they give us is really just superficial and doesn't actually add anything except to appease people who have a NEED for that reassurance, even though they shouldn't need it at all. its a societal thing with kids these days.

ive been around the internet long enough (and these forums) to see through the thinly veiled "oh whats going on?" posts as "when am i getting my bot".

This.

Also, there is the confusing post of CodenameG. He always seemed to be informed, so that contradiction between a dev and a trusted mod is puzzling. Still, I too would take the word of a dev over the word of a mod every day. I fully expect the release of the bot to take at least 3 more weeks, so I am not in a real hurry.

The lack of information from Apoc, and the disconnect between a mod and a dev is a little disheartening though.

It would be nice if Apoc would at least pop in and say yes, it's still's being worked on.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

This... I just would like to know if they plan to release a bot for wildstar.
