Will the time lost using demonbuddy be refunded somehow? I only purchased a 3 day license... :(
Yea I was wondering the same. Only bought a 3 day.
Hi, all,

The Bossland front office is really good about extending keys for things like this. They do it automatically when a working bot becomes available again.

cheers

Well it's nice to be aware of all the outcomes, and I'd be lying if I told you or anyone that I am not being hopeful about that better outcome of it just being a precaution being made by the developers/Demonbuddy, and not something much bigger. You could say I'm just hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst is all.

I know there are reasons for being somewhat quiet about what's going on behind the scenes as this is a public forum. For all we know it's just a precautionary measure as the announcement stated to investigate the changes to some Warden update. It could be something else entirely, and people are already flagged for the next delayed banwave and this is to hopefully take measures for damage control to show they tried to do their best to minimize any casualties. I am speculating based on my experiences with other *****ing communities, and if I'm wrong I'd be quite happy to know I can bot that much longer.

And my statement about other people to blame for their actions-- I'm not trying to say I don't deserve a ban if I get one. I've *****ed on D3 just like everyone else here (why else are you in this section?). When I signed up to use the bot, I joined knowing fully well that if I get banned, I'd be to blame because I chose to break the terms of service of D3. It should be inherent for any *****er that if they get caught/banned/etc, their accounts involved will likely get banned sooner or later. I even said I was speculating in the last paragraph of my post based on my experience from another *****ing group for another game. I never even said people didn't know about Diablo 3 and its botting communities like Demonbuddy. Back then people could bot, level accounts, farm IP/XP, exploit Referral systems with the said bots. Sure people knew about it, guessed and investigated about it-- But it was the minority that noticed but could never really bring any attention to the general public for a long period of time. After a while, all it took was a single pivotal post on some platform such as Reddit with some evidence and Riot Games had to start enforcing anti-*****ing. And my direct blame was towards people like that one guy who posted a thread on here just a few days ago with 1000+ viewers just showing himself botting and not giving a care in the world. Sure, who cares it's just one person, and that person will likely get a ban and wouldn't lead to anything big. But those are all just more ammunition to be used to make Blizzard care more about working against *****ers like ourselves.

Now obviously I'm reaching a bit by comparing a very popular competitive MOBA game to a not-so-competitive game like D3, with the only remotely competitive thing is that leaderboard. But I always wonder if Riot Games would have really gone ahead and directed so much effort into banning botters/*****ers of various types if people didn't complain about it constantly to a point where it affected their playerbase. Shouldn't take much effort for Blizzard to ban a lot of careless botters on here. Hearthbuddy or the other bot, which I probably can't say since it's another platform outside of the buddy series, was running fine and no real bans until Blizzard started *****ing down and those big waves came. Again, all speculation and just me ranting based on my prior experience with another community.

TL;DR - You bot, obviously you're going to get banned at some point. That's inevitable and I never denied that fact. I never said Demonbuddy was some hidden gem of a bot that no one knew about. It's something that comes up the instant you look for any D3 related *****ing tools. I only voiced my displeasure of seeing other *****ers just trying so hard to show off their *****s and bring about unwanted attention. People know about D3 and its botters, but no one talks about it like some hot topic every single day unless their attention is brought to it. One thread for instance came up on here and showed his twitch.tv stream of him botting and there was about a 1000 viewers even after the mods took the topic off. At the end of the day, I was just ranting and clearly it's just my own opinions based on my own speculations as I've stated in my previous post. People can think what they want, I just decided to rant on here and also advise those who assume it's nothing serious, to be hopeful but also be ready for the worst possible outcome.

Point taken and well received.

What I appreciate about your post is the method in which you do not correlate speculation to fact. Often times these threads turn into mass hysteria which is why I have been monitoring this post to try and help out where I can. Sometimes when a support member is the only one keeping a level head, they tend to get ganged up on.

Which brings me to this; I love that chinajade is making a point to be here giving response to the community (which definitely makes me feel good about Bossland and the support team here). I have been a part of many communities that post an announcement like "Don't use this for now," and you're left guessing for weeks.

Side note, that's an interesting word for them to filter, I wonder what lead to that.

oddly enough i wasn't botting anywhere near jan 18-25th was sick and not even enough str to maintain bot running. I have however been botting the last 3 days straight(24hrs+ straight). So I am curious when they say anyone botting in the last 12hrs of tripwire event have high likely to be banned, i dunno. either way if I get banned or not no big deal. if im banned, and I like what I see in season 6/new patch I will buy a new RoS key and bot all over again(still have like 5 d3 accounts leftover from old days that never got banned running sarkoth scripts for RMAH gold sales) so....for like $20 i can get a RoS key probably less.

If I get banned it will be a pretty finite timeline to look at. I wasn't botting since the announced the new season 4 or 5 months ago. I have only been on for the past few days. Perhaps that will help give a little insight to what is, at best, a guessing game.

I really wish that I was into botting when D3 came out. I didn't even start until after they closed the RMAH. I can only imagine the profit margin.

I've ready the sticky post.. but i'm still in panic :( :(
Damn Blizzard!

lol why panic? If you were brave enough to attach DB to D3 process, you should be brave enough to accept that banhammer :D

I've actually botted this season alot.. Would be really disappointed if I didnt get banned.. would just have to waste more cpu cycles on this game some more.

Maybe if I do not survive this banwave, I'll go bot ffxiv 24/7 again. :D

Lol, this is the boat I am in... I have botted every season nearly 24/7 and have never been banned. I used Honorbuddy to farm gold and level a couple chars to 100... Also 24/7 running- never banned. I used Sarkoth Scripts to farm gold for MONTHS 24/7, never banned. Even when my friends were dropping like flies a couple years ago I for whatever reason, was not touched.

I was issued a "ban" for a name I had before, but that was no big deal...

I wish i had your luck. I've been botting since 2010; started with honorbuddy( forgot if it was called something else at that time). I've been banned in every single game for multiple times. 24/7 botting as well

For those who are in panic right now. First don't let your dreams be dreams. hahahaha.. Second i want to say to the Demonbuddy developers...you guys did an awesome work =). That said a wise botter once said..."Until we met again old friend...AUTOBOTS ROLL OUT"

Didnt they just update their anti ***** for the private beta of overwatch ?

While I am fully aware of the risks, I just have but one question.

I never attach the actual DB software to my main account and instead have my other clients do all the leg work for my main account (Farm Grfits with them manually controlling main account, dropping legendaries in town and collecting bounty caches).

Under this scenario (all of it is ran from the same PC), is there still a chance that my main account will be banned if such a ban were to happen? Thanks.

It has been known to happen before.. but under this scenario it looks like it may just be a detection ban.. never know till they do it..

if you do something like boting - you need to be prepared for ban, is very clear.
if I get baned - this will be end of adventure with D3, I playing since the beginning of D3 and I start use the bot just in Januar because I don't want to be on the end of chain food ;) and of course I have real life.
I'm just tired looking for best equip na make higher GR. Maybe that is the sign - leave D3 and start Black Desert :D.
Don't worry fellow boters. All people from the top are using this fantastic software ;) to be on top - remember this guy who run bot on Twich ? ;)
If the give us perm - it's will be over, if only for few months - we will come back :)
Only one thing to the staff - if you aware about this since the beginning of "event" - why you don't post this with BIG RED LETTERS or send e-mail to users we pay for software and at last we deserved that.

Ok, Optimus Prime! :P

Well with regards to timing.

I purchased new game on a new account and started DB for the first time 2/3 hours before the tripwire event. I haven't played a blizzard game for 7 months.
Be interesting to 1) see if this update to warden was related to D3 or another game 2) If there was any sort of scanning at the that time

Either way, the end result will be what it is.

I have been perusing reddit and the Diablo forums quit regularly, and although there are some people complaining the general consensus is that botting is not hurting anyone in D3. You could argue that it gives you an unfair advantage on the seasonal, but so does grouping.

I'm not worried if a ban comes, it comes - So be it.

You are either quite dense or didnt even read the message...

Nope, YOU dont get what I'm saying. The tripwire message only says the very general: "There's been a tripwire event, bot is shut down" Then goes to explain what that is.
What I'm interested in is details of THIS situation. The post is basically a form letter and doesn't say shit about what's actually happening THIS time.
Discussing it is interesting to me.

but still YOU do not get that bossland will hardly explain to especially YOU what caused the tripwire shutdown in detail because every open information about what triggers it would make blizz able to react to it. so just go outside, walk your dog our whatever and stfu while they are checking the details and will adjust necessary code of the bot :D

Status Update

The new warden scan is capable of detecting any program that is interfering with Diablo 3 and/or Hearthstone. We strongly
recommend not to use any Diablo 3 or Hearthstone tools until they are updated.

Accounts that logged in to Diablo 3 or Hearthstone after 09 Feb 2016 21:05 UTC until the tripwire event (21:37 UTC), and launched
Demonbuddy/Hearthbuddy within that time window might have been flagged by the new scan. We do not suspect accounts that were
already logged in before then to be flagged.

Summarising the above, we do not expect your account to be flagged if you:

were logged in to Diablo 3 or Hearthstone before 21:05 UTC
were logged in to Diablo 3 or Hearthstone after 21:05 UTC, but haven't launched Demonbuddy/Hearthbuddy until the tripwire event

Unfortunately, we still don't have any ETA for new releases and auths to be reopen.

Willing to bet the update to warden has something to do with the re-opening of Overwatch.
