[Tripwire Spam Thread] anyone cant login DB? tripwire ?

Yeah, I get that, but why complain about this thread and point to another thread that basically says nothing: "It's a tripwire event" tbh it is really scarce in information. It explains what a tripwire event is, and pretty much everyone knows what that it.
So why would you spam a thread that wants to talk about it? It's always interesting to check the rumour mill, doesn't hurt anybody either. But for some reason you seem to have some weird problem with it.
You are either quite dense or didnt even read the message...

I only come to bot so I can complete the Seasonal Journey now... i don't bother anyone and play solo. I don't climb the leaderboards or brag about my shit in channels... the game is tedious and time consuming. If they ban for this, I'm never bothering with a Blizzard product again. Wow sucked the life out of me, I managed to quit that. Botting Diablo made me feel accomplished without having to spend the time and I could have fun with my family.

Honestly, It's like botting hardcore... eventually you will die and lose your character. Eventually you will get caught and lose your account. It's been years and a good run. Got my moneys worth from Demonbuddy if this is the end!
ch3ating is ch3ating bro, are you actually getting mad at blizzard for protecting the integrity of their game?

This is complete non-sense, but imagine that they intentionally tripped the wire to reduce load on their servers for the larger overwatch beta. I'm downloading it now.

*****ing is *****ing bro, are you actually getting mad at blizzard for protecting the integrity of their game?

Game has no integrity. They lost their integrity when they had an auction house and you had to pay 50 bucks for a yellow weapon because inferno mobs 1 shot you and items for ur class never dropped. Don't talk about blizzard and integrity.

Blizzard won't ban anyways, they don't care because the game isn't a tournament game like starcraft nor a subscription game like wow.

but like no one has been banned from d3 since RMAH + AH + Trading, got disabled. I wonder if they changed their minds

The real reason they ban in other games is because of the money lost by botting the free to play model. In diablo the only way investing in bans would make sense is if 1 ban = 1 new purchase

I wouldn't be surprised given the amount of whining there is in the D3 forums nowadays. Something's got to give...

Well seeing the Tripwire event, checking the official announcement from DemonBuddy developers/admins/etc, and just evidently seeing how little information we're getting-- I can probably say there's something much bigger going on behind the scenes. If it's just a precaution, I'd assume there would be more information shared and just better communication. Now I know the staff around these parts aren't known for communicating with their community (Ex: Vague answers and only asking for logs and nothing more). Would be nice if we had more information, but I'm just going to assume bans are coming.

It happened less then 5 hours ago. How much do you expect them to know?

It's extremely easy to see that the battle.net updater is running, which is what caused this detection. It's a great precaution, and is extremely welcomed if you really care about your accounts.

Anyone know if they pause subscriptions when these happen? I only had the moo-lah for a 3 day pass. Bad luck timing is wrecking one of those days.

Well I can say from experience on the WoW side that they never release information when a Tripwire happens. It may seem like they're trying to hide something, but big picture it makes sense because it's just as easy for Blizzard to view this forum as you, and revealing details about what they noticed with say a Warden update would reveal how they're detecting these changes, what they look for being changed, etc. It would just be information for Blizzard to use in the future.

It also doesn't automatically mean that bans are coming. I'm sure they have a large amount of things they monitor for changes that COULD potentially be related to Blizzard "searching for bots," but they could also be used for something that has nothing to do with their ability to catch botters. Better to error on the side of being overprotective than under protective.

A few weeks ago I remember seeing tripwire event in WoW, then about a week ago a mass ban with my account being squarely in the cross-hairs. If the same thing happens with Diablo, I will just throw in the towel, and bow my hat toward Blizzard. Clearly they are the superior programmers. If tripwire caught it before it caught us, the buddy team will have my respect and support.

...another thread that basically says nothing: "It's a tripwire event" tbh it is really scarce in information. It explains what a tripwire event is, and pretty much everyone knows what that it.

If I understand you correctly, you're complaining that enough information has not been disseminated just hours after an event has occurred?

What more do you want? Speculations? Assumptions? Those would mean nothing, as they are not proven.

They've given you what they can confirm: "This Tripwire event is unrelated to any previous Tripwire activation. All this means is the game client was updated in a fashion that requires immediate investigation."

So why would you spam a thread that wants to talk about it? It's always interesting to check the rumour mill, doesn't hurt anybody either. But for some reason you seem to have some weird problem with it.

You're calling on topic replies or responses to your own inquiries SPAM? *Applause* ChinaJade's responses might be the only ones with correct information in the entire thread, but you can call it SPAM if it makes you happy.

...And yes, it's interesting to check the rumor mill, but we do not need 200 rumor mills running at the same time. Thus it was explained that they are closing all of the other threads about this topic and leaving this one open to allow the discussion. Your point is moot.

but like no one has been banned from d3 since RMAH + AH + Trading, got disabled. I wonder if they changed their minds

I have had a couple of accounts banned since the closure of the RMAH/AH/Trading. People just don't always report their bans since we signed up for the risk. My bans have surely been the result of lacking care. Botting 24/7 for months on end.

Well I mean it's just better to assume the worst scenario in this situation, which is likely that we will be getting the banhammer coming to us. D3 botters and *****ers as a whole just evaded bans for this long because Blizzard had no real motive/gain for banning potentially their biggest playerbase on a franchise they probably hope to continue (I assume). But with recent findings of dumb people just blatantly using the bot for streams, public games, etc, and just not giving a fuck anymore because they think they're invincible, they're just bringing in more attention to the *****ing community.

I mean the best example I can give is the LoL community and how the *****ing community never really saw much light or attention until those 'smart ones' decided to keep showing off their 'skills' by *****ing on streams, doing things pro players couldn't possibly do, and just living for that short term adrenaline lol. Fast forward a year or two and people point fingers at everyone for scripting in that game now, and reports fly around like crazy. What used to have no bans for probably a year or two, started to experience banwaves almost every patch.

Now I know most of what I'm saying is speculation based on my experience and knowledge of other *****ing groups I've been with for other games... But judging by how Blizzard has been releasing more valid updates such as the seasons (Season 1/2 compared to Season 4/5?) I think it's evident that Blizzard is putting more resources into a game that everyone treated as a dead game for a long time. If Blizzard has enough to gain from it, I'm sure they can probably ban the majority of the bots in D3. Just look at the Hearthstone & Heroes of the Storm bot.

/End rant
