Sure, my title should have been "AFK BG botters I blame you" ive stated plenty of times in this thread is the afk that's the issue..

in regards to dungeons.. Sure there was a few QQ's in General regarding them.. but nothing compared to the complaints about bg bots...

BG bots put way to much heat on HB

I agree with you on one point they should get rid of BGbuddy
 
I agree with OP.

However the problem with removing a portion of honorbuddy is just that others will replace it.

And this is the result, you forced the hand of blizzard and wiped us out..

If you ever went to the wow forums did you ever see

1. People bitching about leveling bots
2. People biting about Enyo raid bots
3. People bitching about garrison bots
No or if not never very often..

All you ever saw people was bitching about pvp bots, and rightly so you where directly effecting there game play..

Battlegrounds where non playable due to the about of bots..

I'm glad your now banned, it's a shame we had to go down with you..

I hold you directly responsible for this ban wave..

I prey and hope if HB ever returnes I hope they flat out disable pvp all together, to the point if the bot detects your in a pvp zone it shuts down the bot..


There are many of this forums who agree with me, but I know there are those that will call me all the names under the sun, and you are the ones I hope never get your account back..

To the devs, please disable pvp in all aspects in the future bots....

People say it's all the same,

Well I can assure you the wow community never really gave a shit about leveling bots or gathering bots (a few hand farmers perhaps) but every second post on the forums was complaining about the amour of bots in pvp..

Please consider your actions I the future...

Serious dude what are you talking about , BG buddy is pre-programmed behavior . the only profile it loads is the map , and also a combat routine !
The way you point it out makes me believe you dont know anything about it , "You not believing that there's better than the trash profiles you all use out there only makes it easier for me" !
 
Bottom line is too,

You don't want to get banned? don't bot.

I agree botting like that was irresponsible usage of BGbuddy...afk botting into the early hours of the morning is stupid and you shouldn't do it. People became to cocky and believed they were untouchable.

That has to change, however I don't agree bg's need to be removed because I play a lot during the day and i've not seen many bots if any (and of course a botter is great at spotting other bots). If you go on early morning though probably a different story. I run a bot in ashran and it does a great job without problems.

Either bg buddy has to be improved or removed and make people pay for an addon to do pvp. I use a paid addon and it does the job fine so I definitely don't want battlegrounds removed because i've had no issues.
 
It's great that the thread has been reopened; however, honor farming is one of the original purposes of the bot. They are not going to to remove Battleground support. Even if they did remove Battleground support, other bots would continue to support Battlegrounds and people would continue to assume it was Honorbuddy because of it having become a household name in automation.

If someone wants to make a suggestion that's constructive, I'd suggest removing the bit of programming that causes BGBuddy to run to the nearest group. That is the simple most botty behavior. Besides, everyone knows that 90% of players run off by themselves to 1v1 people in the roads. Make the bot do that instead.

I think people stop thinking that affecting competitive play is okay and it is the the same as boting PvE environment. I think disabling Arena just proved that point and the bot should be disabled for BGs as well, at least for regular BGs if not for RBGs.

Again, I have been botting since 2000. I never botted in PvP and I actually quite PvP in WoD due to extensive use of bots by others. I used to play in 2.4k+ RBGs and 2.2k+ areanas. At that level believe me it is so frustrating if your 0.4 cast and fake cats get interrupted automatically. There is basically no point to push for rating unless you are using the same interrupt bots or a certain class such as DKs, Warriors or Mages which the bot performs much better compared to other classes.
 
Bgs are casual play not competitive like arenas. Because they are both pvp doesn't mean they are equal.

But with a name like Honorbuddy, it should have been obvious that it wasn't exactly for arenas (considering you get honor points from non-arena PvP)...

Um, Hawker the main Dev, has already stated BG AFK botting is under review-

There is a huge possibly of bgbuddy being removed.
 
We'll see. Hawker works for Bossland. And logically, a ban on AFK PVP isn't in the company's best interest. It alienates a large majority of the customer base and doesn't serve to minimize exposure of automation, in general.

The benefits don't outweigh the risks of blocking AFK BG play.

The enforcement of non-support on Arena made sense. The legitimate Arena community is vicious and influential with Blizzard. That was exposure we didn't want. Who cares about a bunch of peon casuals in battlegrounds?

These are all your opinions, I belive removal of all PVP aspects of this bot is in the best interests of this bot
 
Its not just the people using the Pvp Buddy, it also stems from people not making their own pathing for ore/herb farming. A few weeks before the banwave I saw 15 people FOLLOWING each other in the same path in Nagrand using the same pathing for Herb/Ore farming. People like that get the rest of us in a pickle because they got lazy. I make my own pathings. Cause I don't trust using someone elses cause how many others are using the same one? I don't even post mine in fear that someday someone would be right behind my Herb/Miner. Its doing things so repetitive that its noticeable. Doing the same bot everyday for 10+ hours is the reason you are banned. And the reason you got so many others banned.

I have got a lot of friends using Honorbuddy, and I told them from the get go. Don't do the same thing for very long, cause how often does your char actually do that for? Have you ever manually Herb/Ore farmed for 10+ hours in a day? For the entire week everyday? Than why would you let the bot do that? Some people just get blindsided thinking they could get away with just letting it go all out. And those people are the ones that got us all in the spotlight.

What I do for Botting:
1-1.5h of Questing every 3-5 days.
1-3h of Rep every week.
1-3h of farming every week.
1-3 Dungeons per week for entire account.
1-2 LFR Completes for the week.
2 Complete Garrisons most days
12h per week of Enyo raiding.
