complete fail of an argument, because even pvpers like myself can see it is asking for trouble to flat out destroy a core feature of the game, to the extent there are videos about it on main stream gaming news websites. "pvp isnt bad with the proper profile" excuse is horse shit, because 99% of people aren't/weren't using that and even if they were it would end up having the same problems stemming from overuse.

Whatever you say bud lol I don't care quite frankly! None of my accounts are banned and I'm still botting, so enjoy your time off!

I don't blame pvp botters. I think they're fine. No sense developing a case of Sandy Vaginitis over getting banned for something people knew could get them banned. Some forum stupidity I've seen a lot of lately:

1.) Believing HB undetectable- The devs have NEVER said HB was undetectable, why would you assume it was?
2.) Botting on an account you couldn't "afford" to lose- What the Fuck were you thinking? If you don't want it gone, don't risk it. Run a "clean" account, even if you aren't a gold seller.
3.) Blizzard's all Powerful ToS makes it impossible to charge back, or get refunds- Nope...just Nope. Charge back on my 6 accounts got my money back. FYI the accounts WILL be PERMABANNED.
4.) "I only did..."- Bad news chief, you botted. Bot got busted, so did you. Suck it up, or cry into your pillow. No one cares. It's nobody else's fault but yours.

The pvp bots that brought the most attention from players were undoubtedly BG's full of bad bots (BGBuddy is terrible in this regard) along with "instant reaction" type actions e.g. interrupts, spell reflects and insane CC chains or interrupt chains etc. While these actions can be manually achieved by good players, there was just way too much of it consistently going on in lower Arena/RBG brackets hence the tears and the inevitable high profile of HB.

From a purely PVP perspective, ignoring any other reasons for this banwave, maybe we should look at a middle ground, e.g. improve BGBuddy, remove obvious instant reactions and chain CC/interrupts/lockdowns (or at least randomize it a lot more).

true but you can also edit the reaction times for interrupts. while I agree the standard bgbuddy is not the best, theres nothing stopping anyone from fixing their profiles or buying ones that others have edited themselves outside of being lazy and cheap. but yes you are right, i think an updated bg profile would probably run alittle more under the radar for hb and those who use it. and thank you for posting helpful ideas vs just flaming.

HB used to be an awesome BG bot but over the years it got worse, not sure why but it used to throw traps before disengaging and tie people up pretty well without looking automated, I was impressed by it and so were my friends(which is why they also got it) a year later I noticed it was running around on a set path not randomizing and not attacking people unless attacked first, Basically all the things that used to make it great it no longer worked. That is when I stopped using it for afk BGs. Others should have stopped then too but I guess people have too much to do irl to care. If it was still the old ways no one would have cared I think, when its causing losses all day eventually blizz will stop it after the hundreds if not thousands of complaints.
All that being said I don't blame anyone but myself for getting banned, I used it in about 25 arenas and used it in raids only, I turned off interrupting and still got banned. I never ever (and haven't for about a year) used HB for automated movement for farming or anything like that, all auto moving was turned off every time I used it. What I did notice however, any of the times that I have been banned, I have recently used it in arena. The first time was on my warrior using the premium Tuanha routine. This time I used Richie's pvp routine. I guess I am super unlucky with arena but last time when I got banned right after arena I said to myself I wont ever do arena again with the bot, I didn't since mid-mop all the way till about 2 weeks ago not one ban, I used it because I was feeling particularly good about dodging the ban wave and thought they wouldn't do it again for a month or 2 then got banned shortly after.

your 99% figure is way off. 99% suggests 1 out of 100 are using custom profiles.

id bump that up to about 1 in 10k using custom profiles

I'm going to assume that when you guys are mentioning custom profiles, you're talking about using a custom combat rotation (CR).
Assuming you were using a custom CR while AFK botting, it wouldn't help you look any less suspicious than the guy next to you using the default CR. Here's why.

When you use BGBuddy, your CR doesn't determine your pathing to each objective in the battleground. BGBuddy does that part.

The thing a CR helps with is combat. Meaning as soon as you enter combat, your CR will kick in and tell the bot how to handle the situation.
Sometimes your CR will do things out of combat, such as rogue casting BoS to open on somebody, or buffing people, or switching aspects, but for the most part they really kick in during combat.

Now, that's great and all. And a custom CR will sure as hell makes you look less suspicious while fighting. But then what happens when you're done fighting at the node you and the 12 other bots just took over?

It's pretty simple. Honorbuddy hands the reins back over to BGBuddy, and you all continue on the same path to the next objective. AKA, a bot train.

So despite having your amazing custom routine, you still move and look like a bot for 50% of the battle. And it's pretty obvious.

lets throw suggestions in as well. And dont say i need to post this in the proper thread, done that, no result. as with so many of us.

- When bg starts : let bot stand randomly in the room, instead of all same spot and facing same way - silvershard mines.
- Dont let em all mount up with 5 secs on clock - Deepwind Gorge
- Patht bot takes in any bg is always same - Make 3-5 profiles and let it randomly select out
of these. ( i know, say it aint hard to make your own, its not that i need it ! , make it standard so ragardless of yoloing, random paths )
- Remove " move to biggest group " , this made it so much worse. Was made so bot trains would not exist no more, it became even more obvious who bots.

Look at the bg's. Im sure you never even bothered no more. Take some time to evaluate what u made. Or are you like blizz.. careless about pvp?
Cause EoTs. really? Alliance bots move to Mage tower, stay there facing the tower on a 10 yrd distance.
As soon as the tower caps they instantly all turn and move to DR.

Theres so much more to be said about this, but i allready said it many times. With examples of all bgs.

Clear point to be made here is, make it more random! Bg buddy is a joke. but hey i said that allr.

For years I and many others shared our concern off people using HB to bot in all pvp environments..

I've been shut down and been told I'm a moron many times for sharing my concerns..

And this is the result, you forced the hand of blizzard and wiped us out..

If you ever went to the wow forums did you ever see

1. People bitching about leveling bots
2. People biting about Enyo raid bots
3. People bitching about garrison bots
No or if not never very often..

All you ever saw people was bitching about pvp bots, and rightly so you where directly effecting there game play..

Battlegrounds where non playable due to the about of bots..

I'm glad your now banned, it's a shame we had to go down with you..

I hold you directly responsible for this ban wave..

I prey and hope if HB ever returnes I hope they flat out disable pvp all together, to the point if the bot detects your in a pvp zone it shuts down the bot..


There are many of this forums who agree with me, but I know there are those that will call me all the names under the sun, and you are the ones I hope never get your account back..

Well I can assure you the wow community never really gave a shit about leveling bots or gathering bots (a few hand farmers perhaps) but every second post on the forums was complaining about the amour of bots in pvp..

Please consider your actions I the future...

I was PVPing with HB but not using BGbuddy, was using combat bot and routines, so not all PVPERS are to blame, what about the instance farmers? going AFK and just farming instances for hours and hours? Don't you think Blizz would have seen that or atleast knew about it? Im sorry but to blame all pvpers is just wrong.
