Seriously, this is the most useless crap I've ever seen. There is no reason for this ridiculous attempt at pimping a perfectly fine tool. I haven't tested it extensively yet and I'm not going to, but I assume this also uses more resources.

Why why why change something's that is perfectly fine? It does look a tad better now, but who the f**k cares?! Are you hoping to improve sales? Did you get a lot of complaints about an antiquated ui? I'm just totally letdown by this move. Aside from that, despite your considering my comment unhelpful, I did give a clear opinion, didn't I? Obviously you're so convinced about the grandness of the changes you're bringing upon this lovely bot, that you don't wanna hear someone being upset with that, eh? Why was this necessary, please in god's name tell me one good reason! It sucked when ms did it to office and it sucks here as well. Devs should imho focus on increasing functionality of ryftomate (mailboxes, blackspots, stuck routines specifically) or honorbuddy (nothing's really missing aside from easier continent switching and slightly better stuck handling) instead of doing completely useless revamping that brings back problems of beta versions.

  I completely agree with you that that the menu organization is awkward at the moment.
  
  
• I am not a Bossland GmbH employee--I'm just a normal user like you, and have purchased every one of the Buddy products I own.
  The change affects me a lot more than most. In addition to the meager contributions to the product I make, I've got large sections of the Wiki to rewrite (with screenshots and all) because of these changes. But am waiting for a couple of months for things to shake out before starting on that.

Despite the work implied by the changes, I believe the product is moving in a good direction and will continue to get better. It will have mis-steps, and hiccups to correct, but I believe the HBdev team is trying to do the right (long-term) thing for the Community and the product. It will cause some minor short-term inconvenience, sure, but nothing that is insufferable.

Your comment is not helpful. You're going to be one of those old people who are grumpy all the time. You got mad cuz MS changed office? Are you kidding me? MS office is a million times better with the new design and so is this bot. You're the 1% who doesn't like it so if this is your only complaint then you have issues

This is a LOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGG going problem. It has been brought up in the AB thread a lot and from what i have read there really seems to be no concern with fixing it. All you can do is push go and hope for the best. I am able to get in 1 night of tree free runs in about 10-12 nights of trying. I have quit doing EK because i have just become SOOOO disgusted with the lack of attention to that when everyone has complained about it.

Using GB2 in Vashj'ir the bot doesn't clear target after the target is killed. He mounts up, moves away and then goes back in a constant loop. If I clear the target, the bot goes on his merry way.

Okay my blood pressure has almost recovered from this morning's shock, thanks for taking my (specific) criticism seriously despite my tone (which was probably inappropriate, but like I said, only way I know how to express my anger) even if it's just as a user and not as part of the core developement team.

So far I've supported every single developement we've seen in this bot and usually this boiled down to increased functionality. But in this case, I just can't seem to see the bright side. There's a lot of pimping going on and judging by the design alone it's a big step forward. A totally unneeded big step forward though imho. I know in the long term I'm probably not even gonna remember, all addons will have been replaced (until then I know how to help myself), my relogger will have been rewritten within the day, all will be fine. Still - I don't see the point of changing a good thing like this, just like I don't see the point of my brother constantly pimping his car or our university restructuring the medical degree program. I sure the hell won't be a better doctor because of it.

@projektt Good job contributing nothing to a post that from your point of view contributed nothing. Way to go. Btw I'm the last person who's grumpy all the time, eventhough that might not be apparent judging by my post. I usually look at the bright side when changes come upon me, but in this case, I just can't see a single thing that would manage to bring a smile upon my face. There's a difference between grumpiness and realizing obvious downsides of changes and weighing them against the upsides. If the 1% of people who criticize something is the 1% that has "issues", then I'm glad to have some major issues. Are you one of those cum guzzlers that swallows everything they get served by authorities? I assume you've never written complex profiles and have never written an addon or a relogger and have in fact never written anything more complex than a note of absence for your employer, am I right? And before I forget, I'm not "mad" at microsoft for changing ms office's design because a) I never paid for it and b) I just laffed at the silliness of the change. I've just heard countless complaints over the last cpl of years about what a hard time the average office girl has with those changes after being used to the old style for so long. I don't consider it an improvement cause it's not like the old version was overly complex, it became n1 on it's field for a reason. I've never had trouble adjusting, I just consider these sorts of improvements (Verschlimmbesserungen as we Germans call them which would probably translate to deprovement or exprovement) unnecessary when there are still a lot of open issues the programmers could focus on instead.



Back to the specific criticism...

There's a problem with Advanced settings. While editing them and clicking on Bot settings, all changes will be overthrown unless you've saved them first. Hope this helps. Imho remove the advanced settings button or set it to checked by default. Every user is gonna need those advanced settings and without it there really aren't many settings at all.

Suggestion: While it sure looks cleaner and therefore "seems" more noob friendly now (oh nos, more gold selling competition ), not being able to access all settings with as few clicks as before is still a major flaw imho that should never happen when a gui gets an improvement. My suggestion would therefore be to optionally assign Hotkeys to all setting windows (like F1-F5 or whatever). You'd get around restructuring the whole thing again and would allow for even easier accessibility than before.


on the plus side: Doesn't seem to crash anymore when I start 8 HB instances at the same time

im not lifetimer, and i use honorbuddy atleast 1.5 month
there some major problems with honorbuddy atm
1. stucking. its realy annoying
2. cc (im playing as balance/restro druid and i didnt found any useful cc, most of balance cc stuck in "combat" after killing mobs, whats requires to move or use something in backpack to wake up bot)
3. pvp boting require babysitting, its not honorbuddy, its more like "sit here and watch me"
4. noone cares about 1,2,3

here some my personal live examples
i buy 1 year hb only for zin'rokh. becouse pirox arch bot got banwave, i decide to try honorbuddy.
its real pain in a@@ to farm it in EK with honorbuddy. bot get stuck in trees.
for last 1.5 month hb always get stucked if left it afk for few hours. always.
i wait impatiently each new release or test version, i pray to gods and devs about time when i can run AB for few hours without babysitting.

guys. atm alot of bots at market, not so many offer fully afkable achaeology botting and bg farming.
im monitoring forums for last few weeks and seems like there is no reasons to buy lifetime.
honorbuddy cant offer me most major features.

to run flawessly i must digg forum for stuck helpers and fixes.
Digg forums or write by my own fully worked cc for botting daylies and bg.
you guys should put litle agreement in buddyshop

after paying money you propably need to lean C# if your character balance druid or arcane mage
nobody here offers you afk botting, you probably need to keep eye on running bot"

Would be nice if mount actually did something right for a change, hasn't worked properly for such a long time. I use my headless horseman's mount, runs sometimes when it can fly, flies sometimes, mounts my drakes sometimes instead, trys to mount anything, walks most of the time. No matter what amount of button ticking, using a number for a mount, typing the mounts name does it ever run right for more than a session.

I rather liked my idea, tickbox for a land mount you own, tickbox for an air mount you own, and use only those mounts EVER, when you can fly use the air mount, when you can't use the land mount.

Also doesn't save settings if you simply load it up and configure everything, you must actually press start for anything to be saved, annoying.

Apart from those few things a nice stable release for what Ii use it for.

or a chat detection tool.
I cant let run hb alone for 10min cause sometimes he stuck the quest profile stucks the bot dont get the new quest or the bot need some restarts.
Then alot of problems with that fly route thing stucking about 30min and learnign fly routes.
If i turn this options off it turns automaticly on weird things going on with this bot.
Same for learn new skills and spells its just weird if i turn on use fly routes he rides from eastern plague land to undercity and learns there new spells instead to fly -.- if i turn all of it still try to learn new skills sometimes it works sometimes not.
I using the "stable" old version atm cause the new one eats my 16gig ram in 1 day...
Arch buddy stucks on 4-5 points on the map sometimes in kalimdor it fly on a isle and stucks there...lol
Its rly a nice bot but very buggy for me the antistuck funtkion is lol.
this bot is atm far away from klick and go and easy to handle it needs alot of babysit and time.
I have about 4-8 customers a week to lvl their chars or farm or something like this i dont have the time to babysit all the time.
I hope the bot is getting better soon
and where is the setting to handle what he should sell and what not?

And i would love if i can polymoprh that exe into winamp.exe or something like this cause i hate it when i see HONORBUDDY in my taskmanager -.-

Leveling 1 - 85, mostly done by 1 click from 1-60, 60-70, 70-80, 80 - 85 it says on the mainpage!
i need about 5000 klicks to 85 turn bot on/off restart profile delete quests from profile to workaround a non existing quest in there.
load another cc cause 1 is buggy char stucks on some routes taxi problem on and on and on....
maybe im just to stupid to run the bot 1-60 with 1 or 2-3-4-5 klicks if it so tell me i can life with that but i dont think so....

Its rly a nice bot but very buggy for me the antistuck funtkion is lol.
this bot is atm far away from klick and go and easy to handle it needs alot of babysit and time.
I have about 4-8 customers a week to lvl their chars or farm or something like this i dont have the time to babysit all the time.
I hope the bot is getting better soon
and where is the setting to handle what he should sell and what not?

And i would love if i can polymoprh that exe into winamp.exe or something like this cause i hate it when i see HONORBUDDY in my taskmanager -.-
at least an auto updater would be very nice.
Its funny uiui a new skin and interface *blink* *blink* but the bugs not fixxed and more are coming i dont get it?
Is this new interface a feature we rly need? i think not!

Leveling 1 - 85, mostly done by 1 click from 1-60, 60-70, 70-80, 80 - 85 it says on the mainpage!
i need about 5000 klicks to 85 turn bot on/off restart profile delete quests from profile to workaround a non existing quest in there.
load another cc cause 1 is buggy char stucks on some routes taxi problem on and on and on....
maybe im just to stupid to run the bot 1-60 with 1 or 2-3-4-5 klicks if it so tell me i can life with that but i dont think so....

If you dont like something you can always do it manually . People tend to complain alot these days, yeah there are problems here and there but its better than sitting behind your computer for hours on end just to get to 85 or get the epix you always wanted.

If you got time to complain then maybe you should post logs next time to help the devs out.

i spend 120€ to still sitting behind and babysit all the time i dont get what you want?
i running atm 5 bots and every 10min i have a new problem with another char i sell an lvling service and got that bot cause i want quality and freedom all i got is stress and alot of time infornt of my pc.
I can live with 3-4 bugs in the bot and some buggy usermade profiles but this atm is not an user friendly bot.
I think there are alot of logs out there for all the problems i told we dont need a 101 one.
