i keep getting this error when trying to run the raids.

Hey there!

Sorry you are having issues. The last update has been out a couple of days so I am pretty convinced it is not a very common problem. Otherwise I would have gotten more reports.

It looks like one of the travel snippets might have wrong positional data when it ends. I added security checks for correct travel after each step, but if the expected position is different from where the bot ends up, this can happen when the expected position is simply wrong. Since it is all manually created data, there might be something simple as a typo in it. I would need the unabridged log to find out which one it is (Guide: How to Attach your Log). Without the log, I would have to manually test over 180 travel options and with the log it comes down to one or two.

Since there is the line for Tol Barad in your excerpt there might be something wrong on your way there, but travel routes vary wildly with classes, hearthstone locations, the faction etc. You could try entering Baradin Hold manually and starting the run from there or try to remove Tol Barad from your run (if you are using that feature) until the issue is fixed. If you are using the Studio Planner, the travel route that is causing trouble is either the the next raid the bot has to go to or either Baradin Hold or Vault of Archavon since those two always go first if they are available.

If you provide me with a log, I will add a fix asap, but it will sadly be a few days until it is live. I have added tons of code for the upcoming [Pet Battle Studio] to Studio Companion over the last few days and I expect the developers to take a closer look at all all my new lua calls in there to make sure it is safe. So the next approval will probably take a bit longer on their side. I am also on a seminar this weekend so I don't have that much time to push changes over the weekend.

I hope you can live with this response for a few days.

Thank you for that log. It made my life so much easier. Now it only took me 30 minutes to find and fix the issue. The fix will be in the next build. It was something that would only happen in rare cases, but with Pet Battle Studio it would have surfaced more often, so I am very happy you actually found it. Thank you very much.

Does it always go back to Garrison after a raid has been completed, or is something bugging?

I queued up EoE, Ulduar and ICC.
After EoE it tried to used heartstone to Garrison. I stopped it, and restarted the bot. Again, it used heartstone, portal to Ashran -> Orgrimmar -> Pandaria -> Dalaran.

Would probably have been alot faster flying to Ulduar directly.

I can provide the log, I just don't feel very comfortable posting so much information about my character in a public forum.

You don't have to post a log. This is (for now) the intended behavior. I will make adjustments to the raid profiles with the next overhaul to allow direct travel. But that is going to happen after I released Pet Battle Studio.

But from Eye of Eternity the route Ashran -> Orgrimmar -> Pandaria -> Dalaran is probably faster than flying directly over the whole continent.

You are not missing anything. The Firelands profile does not do any steps related to the legendary questline.

This is mostly, because of the nightmare that would be developing it. It takes many weeks to get through the whole quest chain. I would have to play through it on multiple characters so I can actually test it. Some parts are also difficult to develop. And if it then turns out I produced a bug at some place, I would have to play through the whole thing again for weeks to try and replicate it. It is just something that is not feasible to do. I would probably have to invest a week's worth of working hours to get the base version done. I could probably code the specific quest you are talking about without testing, but I don't really feel comfortable doing that. I would have to release something that is not solid.

I found a small one though, for horde in ulduar. When it tries to use the vendor in ulduar (the ogre that requires you to talk before getting the vendor screen) it ends up saying "[Studio Companion]: Could not find a vendor". This beign after it properly walked towards the vendor. If necesary i can provide you with a log but my last log is very crowded and doesn't seem to give any particular information expect for the blacklisting of units: 87342 and 77377, which seem to be alliance vendors no-where near. It should be really easy to reproduce, any horde character (i tested with hunter) in any part of the raid (boss progression didn't seem to matter).

I was also wondering something else. I notice my bot always hearth-stoning back to the garrison after every run, while it would be a lot more efficient to just exit the instance and run the next profile in some situations (read: mostly northrend). I'd consider it a great addition if the hearthstone would be a plugin property, global or raid specific.

Anyway, awesome profiles!

Great to hear! I get that this isn't a minor change, having the hearthstone logic on a profile level. So i'll see it around whenever you've been able to implement it! As well as the other options, which sound nice!

I just went there with a horde char and an extended ID and I did not have any issues accessing the vendor.

Now there are two options:

A) The vendor somehow did indeed get on the blacklist. This is actually possible. HB does this at times. It happens to me regularly with the Gryphon Master in my Garrison which is suddenly "inaccessible". So what I will add to the next build is a flush of the blacklist. It shouldn't have any consequences for the rest of the game as we usually vendor in safe locations and don't have to be afraid of bugged mobs. That change will go live in a few days.

B) There might something be wrong with your cache (also had that happen before). You probably know how to do that, but just in case here is the Guide: How to clear your Cache.

Flushing the blacklist sounds like that might not be the best idea on the long-run, although i am not sure how aggressive the API clean is. Although it might list some incorrectly blacklisted npcs at time, there's for good reason for the blacklist to be static as well. Perhaps you should verify that approach with a core dev, if you haven't already.

Also, if you'd like me to become a beta tester or anything, I'm happy to help. I get that code- or profile-level debugging isn't an option these days as the store obfuscates code for good reason, but I'm usually able to provide a bit more in-depth info than: "it doesn't work".

I know my way around the blacklist. It is not really an issue in those situations. ;-) I can even restrict the flush to certain criteria.

I want all my toons to sell all the same junk, run all the same raids on the same difficulties. I understand that some people may want to change the difficulty up on different toons and that's a fine option to have. There also needs to be an option for the settings to remain the same across all toons and all raids. Is there a way to do this atm?

Yes there is, in the raid menu of Studio Companion, there are "Item Override Options" that allow you to do exactly this. There you can set item actions per category and they affect all characters.
