If you believe that 1-3% of the wow community use bots, then how can you explain the following facts:

1. In the PQR/PE Banwave blizzard confessed they banned 540k accounts - and those was combat routine users only! So if 540k are those 3%, we should had 17million wow players? Huh!

2. In the Pirox Archa banwave Blizz admitted that ~140k accounts were perma banned! You can make the calcs yourself from here on.

3. In the first HB banwave Blizz again mentioned numbers around 100k accounts with 6 months suspensions.

Here the facts stop, simply because Blizzard stopped to update their quarterly Wow population data long time ago, and we can throw in the wind any random number of 1%, 3%, 10% .... of what base?

Since the timed banwaves, the botting population is obviously decreasing, no doubts, but we will never have estimate data howmany people are botting with Honorbuddy nowadays, for obvious reasons!

So no matter if I believe 10% are using bots, or you think its up to 3%, its just opinions!

Blizz mentioned those numbers...

Bossland has very clearly said a couple of times that those numbers are fake and that HB has never had any more than 40k concurrent connections at a time, and the number is usually closer to 10k.

Soapbox has also said that he has close to 4000 accounts, of which no more than 2% have ever been affected by banwaves...And he's had several at this point.

So since you love Bossland and HB so much, and other bot developers have fully admitted that the banwaves are nowhere near as large as people make them out to be, who are you going to believe more? Blizzard or the bot devs?

Every one of you not seeing what naut is trying to say must be a complete idiot. Ive said this for many years after loosing accounts over violating terms. Plain and simple how can a company only rent you the right to play a game when you have shelled out hard earned money to create a account in your name? It isnt like buying a gun nor does it even come close to the same type of topic your stupidity to even say that just made you look dumber then you already are. person who created a account in feb. just to troll the forums. what he is saying is we paid for this game and account ownership is soley ours no one elses. so how is it even possible to pay for accounts, boost, ingame services, just to have it all taken from you? if you take a step back you will see its theft of money and services. clearly persuable in the eyes of the law. what i dont understand is why hasnt bossland chased after the right of ownership in accounts and having the right of ownership implies you can attach what ever the fuck you want on your account and they cant do shit just supply the server to so people can play the shit game.

You are only renting your Steam games. basically any game you buy on a platform you are only paying for the right to access it. It's what you sign up for when you accept the EULA. Doesn't matter what your thought are on that practice but it is completely legal. You sign the EULA that states "You agree that you will not, under any circumstances: A. use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience;".

As much as you dislike the practice, you signed the EULA, broke the EULA. So blizzard is doing exactly what they said they would do in the EULA. It's standard practice in literally every company/game/anything.

Same lines all the time but i.m.o. The jest of it all, is it's a choice. You either have to accept it or don't. Legal! That depends on many factors! Right! Not hardly by any sensible persons idea. But then again, a vast many things in the legal system aren't right by that same line. If you're making money off of it or as we see here in this thread, are a fan boy of it, then you're going to say it's legal, therefore it's right.

Blizzard did exactly what Hitler did. Gave a take it or fuk you choice. And like Hitler, convinced the people to be acceptable of it or else. Each one of us, no matter what the argument side we may be on, didn't do anyone any favors. On the whole, no one that has ever accepted the EULA and TOS has done any people from any country any good. It's not right, but we each bought it, play it and pay it. That in and of itself, I believe to be wrong too. We empowered Blizzard by accepting it and so they are now a multi billion dollar monopolizing industry. Had every individual that ever bought the game and read and saw that nonsense EULA and TOS, had decided not to accept it and instead just took the initial monetary loss, Blizzard would have still made millions, even if no one ever clicked the accept button. Either way, Blizzard wins. Wish I was able to get away with that. But it takes money first to be able to do things like that and Blizzard had it before World of Warcraft by selling console games and even Warcraft computer stand alone games. So we play wow by Blizzard rules! Right! shrug depends on perspective.

I don't even know why they're calling it a 'wave'. Blizz has always had the ability to detect Honorbuddy whenever they wanted to. And as far as the lifetime key. I knew that was a stupid idea when I signed up for it. It's like, well if most of your sub base has a lifetime key, and you're not really getting a load of new numbers, which you probably won't as they game is old...at some stage you're going to start struggling to keep the bot going and make money. I would have been quite happy with a 12 monthly sub from the start. I had six good years out of HB before I had to pay for a new sub, and I was quite happy to do it.

tl;dr

I requested refunds on all purchases made on banned account even the copy of legion i bought and blizzard refunded the lot. That seems to be fair
