Lol its been a bit since i posted that request for help and since there wasnt any answers i had stoped leveling my shaman and i have updated my HB since then and deleted the old so i dont have any log files to share sorry. But the problem exist in both versions of shamwow the default one and the one you work on.

The bundled one is just the one from the forum with the CC Configuration windows removed so instead of a user interface you have to modify the configuration file using Notepad or another text editor. The bundled version is actually updated less frequently than the one in the forums. Periodically if a serious issue or important enhancement is made in the forum download, it is reincorporated back into the HB distribution.

The original issue description doesn't give me a lot to go on. If you can recall any additional details and can PM them or post here that would be very helpful. Thanks again for your response.

Hi tone711! Sorry to hear you are having an issue and thanks for the info provided. It is easier to manage if the log file is attached rather than copy/pasted, but I absolutely appreciate the detail. Based upon where the error you encountered, I need you do the following:

1. Install a fresh copy of HB 1.9.5.8 to a new folder
2. Start WOW
3. Login into the same Shaman toon you did before
4. Start the HonorBuddy.exe in the new folder created above and login

Note: the above steps intentionally omit installing ShamWOW. I need you to retry this using the ShamWOW 4.1.3 BUNDLED with HonorBuddy to see if you get the error with that version.

Let me know the results.

Well the best way i know to explain it is anytime you are fighting mobs wheather it be in a group or out soloing if another player heals you while you are fighting it will target that person that heals you and trys to attack that person if i still had the logs i would post them but unfortunatly i dont

Nah, understand on the logs for this one. Any detail you provide gives a little more background in trying to replicate your results. At this point however, I cant make it happen. If you do resume leveling your Shaman, please shoot me a post and a log at your first opportunity encountering any error and we'll get it resolved. Thanks again!

Is there any chance of making a stand-alone PVPHealbot and PVEHealbot? With an improved InstanceBuddy probably on the horizon as soon as Paid Plugins become available, instancing will take over grinding. Queuing as a healer is the fastest way to instance as well.
If you decide you'd like to do something like this, I'm sure Raphus (InstanceBuddy / Khryptor Priest CC creator) would allow you to use his healbot format if you asked, its extremely effective (#1 heals 99% of the time, and by a HUGE amount).

Its just an idea, i have tested your DPS specs, and they work well, i just choose to bg/instance instead of grinding due to grinding being too risky nowdays.

Hi griovejas and thanks for the post! I will need a debug log file attached to look into the healing out of combat issue for you. As for Thunderstorm, the intention was to avoid using it every CD so to it would be available as an AoE attack against multiple mobs and a defense mechanism when being ganked on a PvP realm, etc. It is cast in the following circumstances:

Fight is stressful (per your settings or being ganked)
OR Current Mana % < Emergency Mana %

You could raise the Emergency Mana % to a higher value, but that value is really intended to shut down offensive abilities and focus on mana regen and healing. In otherwords, you can experiment with raising this value but it should be extremely low since below that your Shaman will just standaround getting beat upon and gen'ing mana to self-heal only to get beat upon some more.

I will look at adding another user option to control switching between using Thunderstorm as survivability mechanism and a mana regen engine used when man drops below a certain value that is separate from the existing mana threshold settings.

On the healing ooc part, I am not sure what kind of event should the log reflect. Maybe I could catch the part where shaman pulls a mob and casts healing wave as it's first spell, immediately after entering combat, before mob reaches it (meaning, the shaman was below need-to-heal health before entering combat). Would that be helpful?

ShamWOW already supports those features (battleground healing since HonorBuddy 0.9x, and party/raid healing since 1.0). Virtually all my testing in this area has been in Battlegrounds and RaF mob grinding with only 2 accounts, but others have used this CC for dungeons and raids. If you are experiencing difficulties in this area please post an issue with log, but the features you are requesting have been implemented for quite awhile..

You should only need to run the CC. When you witness the problem, note your system time then submit an issue describing what you witnessed, the time frame it occurred, and attach a complete log file. ShamWOW v4.1.5 has been tested with HonorBuddy 1.9.5.9 and no issues were encountered. This includes testing the CC Configuration dialogs mentioned.

As always please provide a log file with your issue report. In this case, the log file would be very small since the issue occurs before clicking the Start button. For details on submitting an issue reoprt, please see post #2 in this thread which is the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

Got a small issue with my shammy, level 7 atm. When trying to attack a target he just stands there and spams Stoneskin Totem, it looks as though he's cancelling it each time it spawns? Issue happens with the default version and the latest which I downloaded earlier. Attached a logfile.

That log is the first run of a newly downloaded and extracted HB, with ALL default settings (ticked gather herbs and skin mobs).

It seems that HB/the CC keeps despawning the Totem whenever I'm not in combat... If I let it run when I have already manually dropped a totem and started combat, it will immediately despawn as soon as the mob is dead. If I do the same, but stop HB before the mob dies, the Totem stays. Must be something CC-related? Is there a way to make the bot pull the mob first, then drop a totem?

In regard to your Edit2, it would be illogical to pull first and place totems then.
You loose a GCD during that time.
With a ranged pull it might not be an issue to get them down in time to benefit from them, but as a melee I don't think you want to wait with that.

The benefits from the totems are used with your first cast, which would not be empowered if you cast totems after pull.

Further it's a bot. It's not meant to be played manually while botting (unless you use Mr Autofight or something).
When totems are active (due to your manual press), the bot detects totems, and recalls them before placing the CC totems.
Totems are recalled when combat is over unless a certain range to the next target (I believe it was something like that).
I'm sure bobby can clarify this better.

Samlock, sorry for the unexpected behavior you are encountering. Thank you very much for providing the details of your issue and the debug logs as attachments. Very helpful. However, in duplicating your setup based upon the information available in the log and using the same quest profile I didn't encounter the error. Stoneskin Totem was cast followed by successive attacks. The totem is not removed unless its determined that the next fight is likely to be out of range of the existing totem.

In reviewing your log files, it appears that Lightning Bolt is remaining on cooldown for some reason. You have probably tried this, but please close WOW, clear your WOW Cache, reboot your computer, then retry botting the character again with the settings you were using before. Both the 4.13 BUNDLED and 4.15 downloaded from the forums should work the same for chars at that level. Please let me know your results.

As for the behavior you should expect, Enhancement Shaman will pull first and then cast totems. The reason for this is to ensure the totems are in close proximity to the fight. Since in every pull scenario for Enhancement it will likely move towards the mob it waits to set totems after first attack. For Elemental, it sets the totems first since it doesn't close the distance to a mob in range. In simple terms, an Enhancement Shaman will take the totems to the fight, while the Elemental Shaman will bring the fight back to the totems. Since yours hasn't reached Level 10 for its first talent point yet, it is played like an Elemental Shaman. Once the first talent point is spent, that will cause the CC to start recognizing it as that specific build.

Although he still dropped a totem then immediately recalled it, he then continued to cast Lightning Bolt and re-drop a Stoneskin again. *shrug* I ain't gonna complain

As you suggested I had already deleted the Cache folder and rebooted my PC a few times, as it does quite often sort a few issues I come across! I'll try hand-leveling him to 11 or 12 and stick a few talent points in and see if he goes properly.

Samlock, Something still isn't correct if the totem behavior you described is still occurring. For some reason when the CC asks HB/WoW for info about the status of the Lightning Bolt spell it was indicating it was on cooldown. It is also reporting that there were 0 hostile and/or profile mobs within range. If you have a chance, record one more log for your Shammy while this is going on and attach and I'll continue to research for you.

Strangely enough it actually seems to be behaving itself tonight... First run it seemed to completely stop during combat, so I would kill the mob and it would continue as normal... Fresh install of HB (again) with latest ShamWOW and so far it seems ok, though it is only handing in quests and killing mobs that have aggroed, so no bot-picked targets yet... I'll update in a few ^^

Update time. Seems to be playing nice tonight. Drops a totem then continues to pull and kill mobs quite happily Weird.. I'll attach my log anyway if you're interested. The only thing I noticed was before I deleted and reinstalled HB, the pull distance was set to 20. Is this possibly conflicting with some setting in the CC? Either way, setting it to 30-35 seems to work!

Other thing (probably working fine, shows my lack of knowledge of shamans) he doesn't seem to use Earth Shock much, if at all. Is this proper behaviour for the CC?

Sorry it's such a large log file. I don't wanna remove anything in case it's important! The two or three attempted kills before the end of the log are where he started spamming totems again. I've just rebooted my router and PC as my ping was up to around 350ms, I'll see if that helps at all.
