why when i click on CC configuration button on HB it send me to visual studio now?? is this a CC or HB issue. i dont use visual studio and this seem to be the only way to config the cc options. i have 2 pc in my home. the one without visual studio use to be able to open the cc configure with no problems. now it wants to use visual studio to open this. the other pc with visual studio has and error pop up everytime it tries to open this. this is a great profile till it makes you use Microsoft visual studio just to change the option in the CC. wtf!!! please fix this!!

Please include a log file when submitting an issue. Based on your description, I am assuming you are using the version bundled with HB. Clicking the CC Configuration button causes that version of the CC to tell Windows to edit the configuration text file using the program you setup on your system as the default for files with an extension of ".config". In your case it sounds like you installed Visual Studio which during installation set itself as the default. For most users, the default is NotePad which it sounds like is occurring on your other occur. In this case, my assumption is that anyone advanced enough to have Visual Studio installed will know about how to change the default editor setting. If not, you can either Google for instructions on that Windows setting or just uninstall Visual Studio.

I haven't been available for a little while, but changes to HB continued including some which may have not provided backwards compatability for the Shaman CC's. I'll have an update for you in the next day or so. In the meantime, please use the Shaman CC bundled with HB which is the same as this one without a user interface. That version appears to have been updated by the HB team to work with the current version of HB.

What an amazing CC.
My only complaint: it doesn't seem to use shamanistic rage. It's a really nice ability that should be used at about 40% mana.

w00tsauce was correct, Shamanistic Rage is used. It is used if :

Current Mana % < Rest Mana %
​

and any one of the following:

Fight Is Stressful
OR Fighting more than 1 enemy
OR Current Targets Health > 75%
​

So you can adjust the point where it is cast by increasing the value of Rest Mana in your configuration. You don't want to cast Shamanistic Rage just when your mana gets low, because it only returns mana on successful melee attacks (meaning you need something to attack.). So the above makes sure that you are fighting more than 1 enemy, or the single target being attacked has enough health to be hit a few times before dying, or you are getting wailed on and need the 30% incoming damage reduction that it provides in addition to the mana returned.

there is a problem with this cc and not sure the creator is still working on the cc anymore but when someone heals when fighting mobs it will target the person that heals you is there anyone can fix this

Lol its been a bit since i posted that request for help and since there wasnt any answers i had stoped leveling my shaman and i have updated my HB since then and deleted the old so i dont have any log files to share sorry.

But the problem exist in both versions of shamwow the default one and the one you work on.

No problem and let me know if I can be of help in the future. There are too many variations of game situations, character levels, talent builds, program options, etc. to troubleshoot without a log file, so you'll want to provide one no matter which HB version or CC you are using.

No issues appear to exist at present. I tested using Grinding profiles and found no errors using the current versions of HB and ShamWOW (from this forum) and experienced no issues. To be specific, I used HB 1.9.5.8 with ShamWOW 4.15 (downloaded from this thread.) The testing was done wtih a 35+ Elemental Shaman for 30 minutes (level appropriate grinding profile used) and a 75+ Enhancement Shaman for 30 minutes (20 minutes with level appropriate grinding profile, 10 minutes with low-level farming profile)

my shaman doesn't cast any abilities, he just does melee attacks. WTF!!!
he does earth shock when he should shear.
he is also very slow at pulling, I leave for 2 months and HB turns to shit.

Please note.... I am not very likely to assist those that post mesages with profanity, the acronym "wtf" anywhere in the body, or use the word "fail" (you did 2 out of 3, but I mentioned "fail" for other members reading this that may be inclined to expound upon the style of writing demonstrated.).

As mentioned in the first post of this thread (the one everyone downloads this CC from), also well covered in the FAQ which is post #2 (available for reading for 3 months now), and repeated by me politely time and time again in response to posts from well intentioned members in this thread, you should attach a log and a specific description of the fight circumstances that your issue occurred during. Based upon the post quoted above, I have no idea what spec the Shaman is, which talents were chosen, what level the Shaman is, where it is botting, if the Shaman is in a group, whether its grinding/questing/RaFing/battleground, the type of mobs encountered,etc. etc. etc. Each of these circumstances as well as countless others have an impact upon how the CC responds. Most of this would be covered in the debug log file that should have been attached, and the remaining should have been detailed in a brief description of the fight circumstances in the body of the post. Clearly none of that exists in this example, so unfortunately I cannot be of further assistance given the information provided.

I only have couple issues: as elemental, my shaman rarely and sporadically used Thunderstorm, even when low on mana. Using Thunderstorm immediately after it goes off CD would be extremely awesome. Also, it never heals out of combat.

Hi griovejas and thanks for the post! I will need a debug log file attached to look into the healing out of combat issue for you. As for Thunderstorm, the intention was to avoid using it every CD so to it would be available as an AoE attack against multiple mobs and a defense mechanism when being ganked on a PvP realm, etc. It is cast in the following circumstances:

Fight is stressful (per your settings or being ganked)
OR Current Mana % < Emergency Mana %

You could raise the Emergency Mana % to a higher value, but that value is really intended to shut down offensive abilities and focus on mana regen and healing. In otherwords, you can experiment with raising this value but it should be extremely low since below that your Shaman will just standaround getting beat upon and gen'ing mana to self-heal only to get beat upon some more.

I will look at adding another user option to control switching between using Thunderstorm as survivability mechanism and a mana regen engine used when man drops below a certain value that is separate from the existing mana threshold settings.

I have the latest version installed.
Start up wow and log in, start up HB and I get the following error.
HB crashes and I have to restart

I am new to all this and its probably something I'm not doing.

Hi tone711! Sorry to hear you are having an issue and thanks for the info provided. It is easier to manage if the log file is attached rather than copy/pasted, but I absolutely appreciate the detail. Based upon where the error you encountered, I need you do the following:

1. Install a fresh copy of HB 1.9.5.8 to a new folder
2. Start WOW
3. Login into the same Shaman toon you did before
4. Start the HonorBuddy.exe in the new folder created above and login
​

Note: the above steps intentionally omit installing ShamWOW. I need you to retry this using the ShamWOW 4.1.3 BUNDLED with HonorBuddy to see if you get the error with that version.

Let me know the results.
