Thanks for pointing that out, didnt even see that folder in there. It runs perfect now, and I no longer have the standing there and dying issue from what I have been watching.

This wasn't working for a version or so, and that made me really realize how awesome it is compared to the default CC.

Thanks a ton for making this, and more importantly, updating it!

New ShamWOW 4.1.0 is now available!

First cut of the new version of ShamWOW is now available! To download, see the first post in this thread. If you have problems be sure to describe clearly and attach a logfile with your post (see the FAQ if you haven't done that before.) I have had to spend a lot of time asking people for log files. If you see someone else post an issue without one, I would sure appreciate the help if you would remind them its needed.

Very important! You MUST delete any prior Shaman CC you have installed including any older copy of ShamWOW. The location of some files have changed and you will receive compile errors if you just copy the new version on top of the old.

Also, special thanks to LiquidAtor for endless hours of testing and discussion on Shamans, and to Jon310 for his research on immune mobs.

I always get "Could not construct instance of ShamWOW! Exception was thrown. Exception: Process must have frozen or gotten out of sync. InjectionFinishedEvent was never fired." upon loading HonorBuddy.
I just started using HonorBuddy (1.9.4.5) and just deleted the shaman-files in the CustomClasses-directory and copied ShamWow there. Do you know what the problem is?
 
Without a logfile Bobby can't do much for you.
Refer to the first page for instructions on how to report a bug.

Are you able to start HB at all?
Are you able to start HB with other CC's?
 
I can run all other classes without any problems.
It also happens with the default .cs-file that comes with the download of HB1.9.4.5 (ShamWoW 4.00), but instead of an error with "ShamWoW" it then just finds an error in "Shaman".

If I recall correctly there was an issue with low level shamans and not knowing the rockbiter enchant yet. I'm not sure about it. Bobby will be more sure about that point.
As I interpret the logs you just started a fresh shammy.

Could you visit the trainer, learn the rockbiter enchant and try again?
It's learnable @ level 1 if I am correct.
 
I just visited the trainer and learned Rockbiter Weapon but I still get the same error. I also tried manually applying Rockbiter to my weapon but that didn't work as well.
 
It was just the one thing that came in mind from one of my talks with bobby about that rockbiter thingy.
I'm afraid you will have to wait for him to sort your problem out.
He should be back here latest tomorrow by estimate.

By the way - I just found that I can't use Mephiles' Mage CC as well with a fresh mage. So this doesn't seem to be a shaman specific problem after all... I guess there are many other CC's that get me the same error.
But at least the mage standard class works.

Yes this is a CC.
You can replace the standard Shaman CC that comes with HB 1.9.4.5+ with this one for more features and a more actual codebase.
 
Ive used this CC from level 1 and its working perfectly... I do have one question tho... I reached level 32 today and got Chain Lightning spell... It doesnt seem to wanna cast it... Is it because it only casts if theres more than 1 monster or do i have to turn it on somewhere?.
 
For the mana it takes to cast chain lightning and the damage it does - its much more mana efficent and productive not to cast it unless in cases of several mobs.

For being level 71 mana cost for
Lightning = mana291 dmg 602-687 damage per mana ~2.21
chain lightning = mana758 dmg 651-740 damage per mana ~.9

thats for single target mobs obviously, hope that clears it up a bit

That's correct Serux! Thanks for taking that one. The ShamWOW code looks at the target and checks if there is at least one other target within 12 yards of them for the Chain Lightning to hop to. If there isn't, it will only cast Lightning Bolt for the reasons you mentioned. Mentioning this because the 12 yd hop rule is relative to the current target and not the Shaman. For example, if the current target is 24 yds away, and a second mob is in melee range (less than 5yds) it would still only cast Lighting Bolt because the Chain Lighting wouldn't make the hop due to the two mobs being spaces more than 12 yds apart.

Thanks for the log file Masternap. The error you are getting is typically due to WOW locking up or exiting. If you have not done it yet, please delete your World of Warcraft CACHE folder (similar to something like C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Cache ) and retry. If you are able to run another CC without problem please specify which one it is.

New version 4.1.1 of ShamWOW now available! This is a bug fix version that enables use with Level 1 Shaman.
