Redirect when clicking links

I'm unlikely to take the help offered by Swiny on all of my PCs as he became abusive. I don't like that. My system is adequately protected. But to show willing I've dodged the offer of free (best in the world translation software), Declined the Facemoods, decided I don't want Flip Toast or EZLooker but going to take the risk just to prove a point.

I'm now trying ro remove the unwanted toolbar and other unwanted crap. What a pile of Junk.

I'm going to wait for Tony to reply to see what's happening.

Ok, thanks Swiny you've made a complete mess of my PC. It's so badly infected with unwanted junk and crap that it's not worth the time and effort to clean it. I've got software reinstalling itself faster than I can remove it. Kaspersky is protesting like crazy and it's running so slow it's almost unusable. If that's "Helping" then I don't want that kind of help, thanks.

I'm going to restore from a system image and wait for something from Tony.

I wish I could offer more info. It's not persistent, it's only occasional. After the redirect I can go back, click the link and no problems. I can confirm it happening on 2 of my machines for now but I will let you know if it's happening on any of my others. I've switched PCs while I'm enjoying reading the forums, in the hope that I can catch it happenig again.

We have had one other user with the same experience, I'm hoping that more will post if they have had this or similar.

I appologise for not being able to offer more.

there is no need to apologise for anything

i will check it with Bossland, thx for reporting :)

Same here as OP. I use google to get me to forums but have to go back and click again.

I've also seen this happen a few times. It's extremely rare, but if I hit a buddyforum link from Google, it occasionally redirects to the link OP mentioned.

For reference, it only happens with this website, I've taken the necessary precautions to make sure my PC is clean etc, I'm an IT professional, so please spare me the "hurr you dont know how to clean your pc i r expert"

Thanks for the support and confirmation. It does seem that it's google that's doing this.

And my old PC is restored. No more dodgey downloads no matter how strong the recommendation.

I linked a thread on page 2.
It was about vBSEO, and this is used on here aswell.

That is so weird.

I've never seen this happen before until I read this thread, googled buddyforums and clicked the second link. All sorts of stuff loaded when I revisited the site. Redirected to (FileStore123.info - Your File Hosting) Ads, all sorts of weird shit.

I use sandboxie so yes I know I'm safe.

I'm having the same issue with that Filehosting site.

Been browsing the forums, mostly offline on other PCs. So far I haven't seen anything to worry me. Thanks for looking in to this.
