[Profiles] Adventure Mode Bounties - Community Edition

refresh SVN inside
folder act4 by Zimble
Act4 folder + profile.xml in DB profile folder
select profile.xml
 
well the thing is that hes done two full runs now and has not collected a single cache

"Full runs" does not mean that it was able to do all 5 bounties. Not all bounties in Act 1 are supported. Try doing Act 4 instead.

If you update via the SVN, It will be in another folder.

I actually developed all of Act4 on the stable release with trinity .15 but it would randomly give 'object not set to reference' errors on the second or more cache turn-in... so it works if only for the first run.

-definitely should update if you aren't using the beta though!
First of all I would like to the thank sychotix and Zimble (and all the others working on this plugin profile).

For Zimble, I have been running your Act 4 bounties profile for about an hour now and I have a few things to report:

  • Performance Issues: I have a pretty beefy computer but it seems like my Diablo is lagging a lot while running the profile, this is just sort of irking me since the performance doesn't affect the bots ability to run the bounties.

  • For the Kill Diablo bounty, I saw the bot run portal back to town like 2 times before it actually went through and killed him.

  • Sometimes when there's a cursed chest bounty, it does the first cursed chest it encounters and returns to town but realizes that it didn't complete the quest and runs back to find the real cursed chest.

Honestly, it's running much smoother than I thought it would and I would like to donate some bucks to you and sychotix to keep you guys going.

Running Act 4 atm . Completed the first 3 quests and keep on going that is quite a difference with A1 where i have not been able to finish a quest yet :D But Thanks to both of you for your work. Will update if i find any problems ;)

I'm not sure what causes the performance issues, I'm pretty sure it's the caching (from both this plugin and trinity) as I've had less/shorter hanging when running DB as admin. (win7)

I've never had that issue with the diablo profile but I'm also pretty sure it's related to the caching/hanging where the cache ends up being nulled or incorrect.

Cursed chest is strange, the ID of the chests are different, but until you start the non-bounty chest it uses the same ID as the bounty chest. It didn't happen often enough for me to test it fully for a fix.


I'm hoping that someone more proficient in writing profiles can spot a way around this. Maybe I can blacklist the area that it spawns or something, not sure.


Anyone having 'path too long' errors:
That is an OS issue, the directory your DB (or the profile you are accessing) is in exceeds the built in character limit. Move it to a directory closer to root and you should be fine.

And it is reasons like this that I made it a "Community Edition" =) Love seeing people contributing good stuff, and even answering questions before I get to them!
 
Completed A4 , even talked to Tyrael and took the cache reward and now reset :) wow nice work Zimble/sychotix :)

jjb366, please update your QuestTools plugin.
Also, glad Act4 is going well for you guys. I am hoping to generalize Act1 a bit more with all the kill quests (that can be). Act 1 has so many quests though =(
Yeah was a bit surprised to see you jump right into the thick of it with Act1. So many quests to worry about, where as Act4 doesn't have much variation at all, plus Act4 Caches have a chance to contain any other Acts unique legendaries.
Would be good to get them all finished though, to farm specific legendaries without the chance of getting one of the other random ones. For instance this item, which only comes from Act1 Caches, and is a very useful item to have.

Does anyone know if Trinity stash the Cache?
Yes I watched the first few runs to be sure, even if you disable Trinity storing whites, it still puts the Caches on the same tab it puts crafting materials.
 
Path too long is an OS problem as described before. Operating systems only allow so many character long paths to exist =P (at least Windows) Try putting it in something closer to root, like C:\
 
Would be easier if caches were opened so we dont get full inv after few hours :) Just a suggestion of course
