[PAID] [Priest] Insanity - An Advanced Honorbuddy Shadow Priest Routine [PvE/PvP]

When I go to the test dummies, and I'm using Auspicious Spirits, it is significantly lower dps than COP.

Also, I posted awhile ago asking for the differences between the COP's and they said to go to a test dummy....I realized which one is best for me, but still don't know the outlying differences. I would imagine they are pretty easy to explain.

I found that AS was considerably lower than COP lite, which is great in most cases when you're moving around with multiple targets. However when I started stacking crit, about 21% unbuffed now, AS is now pulling ahead by a few thousand DPS. Testing with the dummies at warspear. hope that helps.

30% crit in raid, AS kills CoP on every fight. If CoP works better for you just keep using it until you have more crit.

Not on every fight I would say plus i think the AS spec needs to alittle more work with 4 set and a fight like blast furnace were your gaining orbs none stop.

hey there im thinking about buying your routine but i have a question, is it possible to set it so it wont use certain dps spelles like mind flay? or at least do you have any plans to implement something similar in the future? thanks

That's not possible at the moment. I do intend to add something like this in future, but no ETA for it.

Hi, just a minor issue, the bot tries to attack friendly targets if you target them and have Enyo's force combat or continues healing mode on. When you turn both of them off it works really well, but any of those on will make the bot attack friendly targeted players and npcs. I'm attaching a log(think it's not too far into the log, because I disabled both settings in Enyo when I noticed it), tho I don't really think it's needed for this. This happens to all your routines btw. Other than that I love the routine :D

Enyo's force combat/healing mode doesn't check for valid targets. Force combat within the routine checks the target is valid first before attacking it - but it'll attack anything regardless of whether the target is in combat or not.

Now that I have 4 set I have an opinion on how to keep the buff from falling off. You cast DP only when you're either at 5 orbs or the buff is about to fall off. So if the buff is about to fall off it will DP with 3 or 4 orbs otherwise it waits till 5.

Yeah will do this.

Hi Millz,

Wanted to come and drop some feedback.

1. (AS build) Routine should try to dump the shadow orbs asap when it's capped OR when you have 3 and there's multiple spirits incoming on the target. Right now it might even choose to mind blast at 5 orbs.
2. Should have an option to Mind sear at X target AND Searing Insanity at X, basically 2 variables, cause they have different priority at certain amount of targets.
3. (AS) option to SW:P at targets with X hp, the mana thing is obsolete imo.
4. (AS) Routine should try to
5. Cascade/Halo should have x target option, not just range.
6. Bug with Vt, casting it twice sometimes.
7. It shouldn't clip DP unless orbs are capped or going to be, with 4-set bonus, to maximize buff uptime.

I've got really good rankings despite some annoyance, for example this weeks farm on heroic brf, I had 95-99% percentile on almost every fight. Keep up the good work!

Def agree about the 4pc bonus and searing insanity having its own timer. That would be great, also a BIG YES to target count for cascade, BIG BIG YES!

Clipping DP isn't that big of a deal in all honesty, although I do still have issues with my pc4 falling off on fights where it rarely should, maidens for example. But not clipping the dots you're waiting for to finish are not worth an instant 80k crit to refresh the dot and buff and continue orb generation. When you get to 30% crit unbuffed. You actually have too many orbs regardless on fights like Blast/maidens

I also support this!.

Btw i have noticed that it still goes wonky tonky with AS it can go from bursting 70+k to bursting less then 40k

Now AS is defaulting to putting DP on non-targets... If I'm targeting something I want most of my damage on that.

Also for Furnace can you ignore the elementals when they're immune to damage?

can someone clear something up please, it seems that even when using CoP, hb still insists on putting dots on the target

Hey

1) I changed the logic slightly after this post. It'll now cast DP when we're on max orbs, or T17 aura (mental instinct) is expiring. If at capped dots it'll also multi-dot DP to ensure we don't waste orbs (or try to avoid it anyway..).

2) There would be an enormous amount of work to get that to work. When the number of units go over the set value, the code switches into a full new rotation. Not completely convinced it's worth it... ?

3) It has a TTD (time to death) check in rather than minimum HP. More dynamic and 1 less thing to configure. Mana isn't super relevant anymore, but it's a nice option to leave in.

5) Cascade/Halo should be cast on CD for max DPS. Maybe worth having that setting in for fights where you get waves of mobs though and would like to store the CD. I'll add this to my to-do list to look into.

6) Yeah, aware of this, it's not that often, but it's better than it loosing up time.

7) This should have changed now with latest build.

Cheers

Made a change for next build:
- [AS] Will only multi-dot DP when current target already has DP active, and we have 4 or more orbs (up from 3).

Furnace -> Can you like the unit and (if you can) the immune buff they get?

Cheers

Depends on which CoP rotation you're using. CoP standard doesn't DoT the current target. The other 3 CoP rotations will.
