[Plugin] A ChuckyEgg Attempt! - Party Dude Pro, breaker breaker roger smack 'em!

Can this plugin assist in ubers?

I ran other bosses with it successfully, but once I enter ubers my followers lose the leader and says transitioning

Ah ha.... I need for someone to get the WorldID of the Uber areas. I guess that the boss world is different to the non uber areas.

Then I can add them to the Boss Encounter code.

If someone could acquire this from the Info Dumping tab of DemonBuddy. Under the World section:
WorldId:
LevelAreaId:

Get at least one, then I'll see if it is different to the non uber boss encounter.

I'll have a search around, and see if I can find the info. There's pretty much no way that I'll be in a situation to be able to acquire the information for myself.
 
First of all, thank you very much for this plugin. I'm experiencing some issues, which may be caused by the way my environment(s) are setup.

I bot on two separate machines. I have installed PartyLeaderPro on one machine, and PartyDudePro on another. On the PLP machine I have set my DB Path and DB folder name (curiously, despite my path PLP creates the DB folder at the root level (Setting it to My Documents\DBParty ends up saving in My Documents\DB Name)).

On my PDP machine, I mount a network drive (Z:\) and set the folder name accordingly. Despite read/write access to that folder, the PDP machine always returns DB Not Found despite the fact that the files are present
 
This was caused by not adding a \ at the end of my DB path on my PLP.

Ah, I was about to say.. \ ....

I should add a check to the code, that will put that in place if someone misses it out, and actually changes the text in the input box within the config window.

Hopefully all else is okay :)

Ah cool, it would be great if you could acquire this info :)

On DemonBuddy ther is a tab called Info Dumping, click on that

Directly to the left of and down from the Dump Map Markers button, you'll see a section name World, and in there it has: WorldId, LevelAreaId, SceneId, and Name.

Over to the right of Name is a smal square button. If you click on that button it fills in the info on the 4 fields I just mentioned.

If you then double click on each of the results, it pastes this into the clipboard. You can then copy it into notepad, then then in here.

I need the WorldId for this BossEncounter code, and the LevelAreaId may come in handy at some point (use of portals).

Hopefully that is enough info for you, if not then please shout :)

Are you using the same file to post portal and to post coords?
If you are then make a separate file for the portals.

I haven't decided on how the new version of Portal Usage will work, but the last one had separate files. One for the leader's position (PathCoordinates), and one for the portal position (PortalState).

Separate files is best, I reckon.

With LevelAreaId now availabe, I should be able to come up with a more concrete way of the leader and follower to know where they are when interacting with a portal.... hopefully!

It's working out better now that I am using GitHub (thanks, Radonic, for steering me that way :) ) to develop the plugin, committing minor changes every time one is made.

Now for food, then 'ave at 'em portals!

But if you die and ress on portal (waypoint w/e the one you got in town), then instead of TP normally - do like a real player and use that instant TP device

I don't understand :confused:

what does "w/e" stand for ?

Ah, I think I understand..... if the follower or leader dies, and they need to go back to town, and one of those Waypoint thingies is nearby, then get the bot to use the Waypoint to head back to town, instead of the Town Portal.
e.g. at the end of a Queen/Sarkoth run... the leader uses the waypoint because it is running the profile, but the followers TP because they are just using the CombatBot profile

That's a good idea :)

It should be doable, but you never know. I'll look into it and add it to the TO-DO list
 
What plugins do you suggest running as a baseline with yours. I see that the trinity plugin doesn't work properly on the followers, is there another one that is similar you recommend?

I use trinity, and whilst it's not 100% it's not too bad.
 
*** TEST VERSION - PORTAL USAGE ***

Okay, here it is, my 2nd attempt at follower portal usage.

Much better than the 1st version, in that the original version had the follower constantly check for nearby portals, and if they saw one, they entered it, no matter what the leader was doing.... mega crapolla way to solve the portal issue, but then again I did just have a major weekend drinking session... IQ had taken a major battering!

Anyway, this version basis the follower's decision to use a portal on whether or not the leader is in a different Level Area and there is a portal nearby (very close by).

This is a TEST version, not a release version. I have only tested it on the Queen/Sarkoth/Wells run, so far.

Beware, the follower spams worse than a Dwarven Ironforge gold vendor on steroids!

Chill time for me now.... Gonna check out that Hatfields and McCoys western series.

DOWNLOAD REMOVED AS THIS VERSION IS NO LONGER NEEDED

LOL, excellent :)

If there proves to be little or nothing too wrong with this version, I'll tidy it up and release it proper.
Then look into solving those nasty stuck areas where the follower can't TP - Bastion's Keep, New Tristram to Old Tristan road, etc...
The portal usage working helps with those non TP areas, but good to have a means to get back to the town's centre just-in-case they do get stuck.

Anyway, back to the Hatfield's and McCoys... proving to be most excelllent :)
 
Chucky i had an idea, how about instead of the leader posting his current location, he will post his next location?

i.e Atm leader is at 2,2,2 going to 10,10,10

Could help make them run as a team instead of 1-3 bots following the leader.

*just a little idea i thought could be nice :) - also that way he can post next point is Use Portal HeartOfSin bla bla bla and that can work for them also.
