PiroxBots is Closing, All Aboard thebuddyforum

I came back after a 2 month break from WoW and saw ores and herbs were significantly more expensive. Then I saw Pirox had been shut down in the mean time lol. We like it! :cool:

I guess I just expected HB to be farther ahead than what it is when it comes to gathering or having functions already set up instead of the customer having to learn everything inside and out about the program before actually using it because you have to learn the plug ins. and the fact that you have to buy another key to be able to bot with more clients is VERY disappointing. I understand it from the makers point of view because It makes more money consistently. But seriously. -_- very frustrating I am sorry. If I don't buy it this will be the reason. And with Pirox all you had to do was buy one key and you could use that for as many clients as you wanted. That in my mind was a better idea. but I guess in the long run your not making any money so I guess it's still purely a business decision.. I will most likely end up buying this program. That is why I am so concerned and frustrated with this idea. I am not just here to rant.

For those that came from the Pirox community, just remember that you didn't just buy Pirox, start it up and all was great for weeks either. From what I've been told, you had to figure out how to use it as well.

It's all a moot point at this time anyway though, Pirox is shutting down - it doesn't matter if it literally was able to spit out dollar bills while it was botting, in just over a month it will be shut down and there will simply be zero option to use it - period. We can all debate at how good or bad both systems are or we can focus on making ONE great product and community.

The core developers just released an update which sounds like it fixed alot of problems - not all, but alot of them. Apoc hasn't released the BgBot2 in this update so we're all still anxiously waiting for it. Overall, it looks really good and I look forward to giving it a run.

Again though, in less then a month Pirox will be shut down - so how about no more of this 'us vs them' type mentality? It's now US... those that had talent at making updates for Pirox, whether it be profiles or other developments, start looking over the formatting of HB - I'm sure it's different, but like any computer language, once you know how a computer 'thinks', it's just a matter of learning the new syntax - but you already know that.

So... once again, I say 'Welcome' - and hope that people can learn to get along.
 
I just wanted to ask quick question... (yes coming from pirox)... is it possible to do stuff (surf internet, writing emails, watching movies) on the same computer that HB is working? Something like "background mode"?

I also wanted to ask if there is any way to convert pirox farming / battleground profiles (nodes) to HB?
and why there is no forum section under profiles for battleground profiles? You can't make your own paths/nodes for BGs?

HonorBuddy works in background mode, so you can work on the same computer where you bot.
Apoc released a tool to convert the Pirox profiles to HB profiles available [here].

You can create custom paths for battlegrounds, they profiles are stored in the Default Profiles/ folder.
There isn't a section for BGs profiles because it isn't common someone makes these kind of profiles.
Therefore, the pvp profiles are in the submitted profiles or tested profiles section.
 
Hey just 2 fast questions, planning to buy hb soon, and GB2, gather buddy is pack which i get when i buy hb , correct? And i see lots of cc-custom class setups, but dont see any macros in forum, do i need to set it up like in pirox-in game, or what? oO -Happy holidays btw :)

I don't know how it's on Pirox but for HB, the CustomClass is a piece of code that manage the fight of a specified class.
So, you don't need to have macros or whatever.

HB has GB2 built in.
HB doesn't use in-game macro setups.

GB1, which you will be able to use also if you purchase, is a macro-based setup.
It's a lightweight version for gathering only.
 
Honorbuddy wont close that fast HB is fighting back i heard of codenameg in a thread that could take up to 4 years:) til something happning

Hello. Pirox user since the beginning. Looking forward to this new bot. Which means to read everything all over again >< My main concern is bg botting everythign else sounds decent. i did research and feel like it is best to wait. So when will the advanced Bgbot from honorbuddy release and what is it called? Once that is cleared up I do not mind spending 2 orders of 3 sessions accounts.

BG Bot 2 doesn't have release date yet, hopefully it will be available for testing soon.
