can u post your necro build? he is the leader?
It's the exact same Bantou Rathma faceroll build.

If you wanna try the melee necro, switch Zei's to Powerful, Stricken or Esoteric. Reduce autofollow distance in settings to 5 or 10, and reduce range checks within bantou's routine to minimum versions.
There are additional benefits to the melee group builds. Oculus rings will be much more often available to the group DD since they will be clumped and the buff zones will always be at melee or very close. It's really noticeable.
About the routines I use, tried Phelon's and Bantou's, and apparently Phelon's is too specific, allowing no change at all. As an example, Devour is used as an aura, while bantou's allows us to use specific runes as it passively checks for corpses and uses devour whenever needed. Also, Phelon's prefer to use Simulacrum over Land of the Dead, which I'm not convinced of.
Bantou's seems more versatile overall; Phelon's will get there, but it will require time.
Disable all avoidance except for Molten core. (keep that one at 100% cause it still oneshot us). Anything that doesn't oneshot you can be withstood when within Inner sanctuary and cyclone strike healing range.
For this particular melee group build, coming to the Monk, istvan paired swords are considerably better than the thunderfury combo that Phelon is advising, since attack speed is directly translated into heavy healing. APS should be =>3 on combat, and 5 or around when Flying dragon procs.
SKILLS / RUNE changes for the monk: I do switch Inner Sanctuary rune to Safe Haven; even some folks prefer Temple of Protection , the aded healing to the melee necro is better . Also , on the Monk passives, Seize the initiative is absolutely needed.
Get a good useful hellfire amulet with one of the 6 useful / recommended passives, that will always be better than putting Ess of Johan on the cube slot- switch the cube to Overwhelming desire and equip the Hellfire amulet.
The ZDPS phelon routine will work perfectly even with those changes.
Those values are appropiate for my necro with my current stats / gear, but the avoidance part is very dependant on your gear. I'm using Dante's binding and decrepify, which means 50% + 30% additional damage reduction; tried with other curses (frailty, several runes) but the reduced survivability didn't allow for it.
I'm afraid that with the amount of defensive options available to Necro, every player needs to test which one is the better combination for him; too many variables to follow a cookie cutter spec.
About the leader part, the ZDPS is always the leader, in any group.
