[Official] Current Situation, Looting, Fleeing & IDLE

As of now the bot doesn't either see or know what to do with that so it continues, hence the ban.

I've been running the bot at walking speed and had ZERO issues. Of course will takes forever to level up and farm but better safe then sorry until the DEVs come up with a fix

Ive set mines to walking speed as well and im still getting the warning. no teleporting, i find a spot and let it set there to farm. Im only running one bot at the moment as well. And this is a new account.

Semi/Perm Banned? 12 hours later still this...

I have been trying to carefully bot now for a few days. Been careful about where I go to and for how long. Not sure if this is relevant or not but the last update of pokefarmer (1.0.102.0) was released yesterday I think I got the classic "Download of player inventory failed." message over and over again. Then I stopped it. I logged in via my phone and got the "our servers are humbled... Please try again soon!" Response.

Changed IP and even used a VPN, didn't work.
Changed devices and methods same problem.
Tried other accounts and they all work.

Seems it is not an IP ban but a user ban? Since I got the error on my phone I wonder if it is a ban then but the nice graphic and message suggests my account is not totally nuked. I will wait and see. I would hate to see this account gone for good because I have so much time invested in it. :(

My account went from IP ban to cannot get game data (hard ban). I am approaching over 24 hours and 2 different ban types. However, I was able to log in, in the middle of this and play for a bit using a GPS hack at work. Not even sure why I was able to log in during the middle period, maybe a fluke.

Maybe I was part of a later ban wave. Who knows.

Still unable to log in though, WAY WAY over 12 hours.

I would like to be able to login to an official site somewhere and check to see what the account status is. Some have suggested PokéAdvisor, but I am unable to pull up my user data there at all for any of my accounts.

Advice anyone?
 
Been reading alot on this topic alot

I would check to see if the new api update is reading the fact that a 3rd party is getting into the game and flagging an account

Also a phone has a dynamic ip which is changing from time to time. Where a computer (tower) is running on a static ip which stays the same.
Also seen alot more people who are attempting to use a vpn are getting banned alot more frequent.

Right now my lvl 28 botting account that has sniped all region exclusives, and has been soft ban multiple times is still running at the moment.
 
Also on a side note, does anyone know if pokefarmer has received a notice from niantic, to shut down the bot? If so can anyone send me a link on it?
 
Well, seems my ban was randomly lifted after 24 hours.
Been botting again since last night after updating the bot, and using all human-like options like random throws, slower move speed etc to be more legit looking.

Haven't been banned or restricted for over 12 hours of botting now.

Did you have a soft or hard ban?

I have this issue since they released android client version 0.33, I believe we are not the only one based on a google result of people complaining of the same issue.
This screen appears every time i initially login with the google account. If I log in with a ptc account, sign out, then login again with the google account, it goes in.
Are you by chance running on android 4.4?
 
Rather than keep repeating the same things over and over, it seems pretty clear how this is working now.

Initial catch flee soft ban followed by either account restored and fully working or account hard banned (Failed to get game data from the server)

So if you are suffering catch flee constantly, it's pretty much 50/50 as to whether your account will return. If it does and it's a good account, I wouldn't push my luck with it by going back on the Bot.

The real question here is whether anyone has had their account return to working after receiving the "Failed to get game data from the server" message? From what I've seen, this is basically game over, unless anyone has found otherwise? I've sent Niantic a message regarding my own account. I haven't asked about a ban, I've said I'm having trouble logging in, as strictly speaking, this is the problem until I'm made aware of a ban.

Yes. I posted up my situation a few pages ago in this thread.

It's been over 24 hours and I'm still getting the error. I botted pretty safely too without any soft bans or anything.
So pretty much from everything I read there's no coming back from this type of ban.

Not true, after the big scare the other day, I created a test account and started the bot in my city using walking speed only. I ran it for 3-4 hours yesterday without complications and fired it back up this morning and still working just fine as of now, still walking speed only.

idea is that there is a limit for how many stops or pokemons you can get within 24 hours... different numbers with different "level" of bans...
would be interesting to test it on a new account, but i don't think pokefarmer is well equipped to track it?

what is also interesting is that i think that is why my 2nd account flee ban was for 3 hours while main account still have flee ban .... maybe when the average per day get lowered to certain level it will be unbanned ..
