[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Hi Millz

I love your CR .but i do have some prob with it when im in arcane.the TP´s im using are Ice Floes-Icebarrier-Cold Snap-Supernova-Rune of Power-Prismatic Crystal.i also have a use trinketmy prob is (and have been testing it a lot) that no matter how i use the settings it will never put down primatic and use arcane power untill iv cast like 4x AB and AM atleast 1s.and also supernova aint always going on the crystal ..thats a big dps loss for me when Hero or tw are use in the beginning of the fight...i dont know if thats just one of the settings or its the prior in the CR thats not set like that .but thats also why i writing here hoping to get helped :) if i never ask ill never get and answer right :)

I am having somewhat similar issues. It will cast RoP and Supernova but then it just idles. How do I fix this guys?

Still rushing to spread as much time around all of my products as possible. Been working on converting Demonic to coroutines (which is pretty much a full re-write of the code). Fixing some stuff on BGFarmer now, then Portal's full re-write for coroutines is next on the list.

@Millz - what will coroutines do? Help increase DPS? To be honest - mages playing by hand are beating me and the routine is actually doing good work I think minus some small things. The concern I have is the BRF is coming in less than a month and Frost goes down to third place there - how much love is fire and arcane getting?

Coroutines make the routine run faster/smoother. May increase DPS.

Arcane is getting priority at the moment. Been testing some changes on my build but still needs work.

How good is the PvE Arcane DPS at the moment?
Trying to find a good Mage Arcane PvE Routine.

According to Simcraft my Frost DPS should be 29k+. My iLvL is 665.
Arcane spec. Simcraft estimates around 29k as well. Changing gems and enchants Simcraft results would be close to 30k.

Using the routine I can have up to 24k on a short fight and around 22k on average.
When I could have 26k+ I would be happy, but it's not achievable.

I used Tyrael and now LazyRider.

Do you recommend any specific talents or maybe I'm doing sth. wrong?

I've reinstalled HB, have fresh settings, but DPS is still below average.

Yeah arcane spec isn't ideal at the moment. Cooldowns aren't syncing up properly. I'm busy working on it as we speak though.
 
Pushed a new build - waiting for approval.

[08/Jan/2015]
- Added Healing Tonic.
- [Arcane] Added option to use trinkets on burn phase.
- [Arcane] Increased the delay of burn phase when waiting for PC to come off CD from 15 to 30 seconds. This helps prevent PC being cast at 50-60% mana once burn phase is nearly finished.
- [Arcane] Arcane Missiles during burn phase will stop at < 70% mana to prevent prolonging the burn phase.
- Fixed Rune of Power double casting.
- Increased the reaction time of all cast on ground spells (like Meteor, Prismatic Crystal).
- Started work converting routine to use coroutine code (faster code than current style).


Just a heads up to people - I'm going to be out of town tomorrow until Monday with no laptop, but will pick up support questions as soon as I get home.
 
Is there settings for Frost Bomb? All the big guides like Method etc. say to use FB to be honest I always do worse DPS with this CD when using FB. Anyone got any clue as to why this is?

I find FB and PC pretty effective. It's got all of the tricks coded in (i.e. to pool FoF charges before refreshing FB).
 
Hello Peeps - i am kind of new to the raid bot scene - i am looking for the best settings for portal for Raiding as frost in Heroic Highmaul. Currently i am suing Portal (just bought full version) however not sure if my settings are off - I am a a 667 frost mage. yesterday while doing heroic imp a 664 frost mage was beating me on all attempts. Anyone have recommended settings for Portal or a better routine suggestion?

Would not be to concerned about smaller ilvl beating you, did you have a look to see if his stats where better than yours. ilvl is meaning less these days with in reason.
as for settings there is no one setting to rule them all, if you want the best from your routine change your talents as required for each boss, if you have no clue what talents you should be using, method has a decent frost mage guide.

apart from that disable everything you are not using on the routine use hot keys for cooldowns and aoe ect and interrupt your self ect and the routine will perform better.

Is it possible to provide me a link to the method site you are mentioning? Is their a section for encounters? Also on Simcraft the guildy with less ilvl is showing less DPS than mine - Simcraft has him at 29k active and me at 31k active - you would think that means i will do more dps

I've been trying to use the trial version of this to know whether or not I want to buy it for my mage. I've been using it but theres a few things I cannot get it to do. One is timewarp, and the other is to polymorph. I'm using a profile in Pillar of Fate for Council of Exarchs rep.. and regardless of whether I'm frost or arcane, it still won't timewarp or poly. Do I need to have my bars setup in a particular way? My machine at home poly'd with singular, but my work laptop it won't. Also almost always my pet won't attack with it's default attack on any of the profiles. I've read through the entire HonorBuddy get started PDF.. didn't seem to instruct me.

Any ideas?
