[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Hey Millz... Let me start of by saying I appreciate the hard work you put into this, even more so in this expansion time.

I had a though about a possible improvement. I like the way you made Ice Nova work with Incanters... So I was thinking, why not do the same our procs?

I mean ofc still fire them of we have 2 procs of either, but if not, then use the when incanters is at >=4 stacks?

I really like the small tweaks you Make to improve DPS, so hope this will be one
 
Need Help With Frost Mage DPS

Hello , just wanted to ask some questions about proper settings and bot config. Because when I run it on the Dummy in Warspear Im not doing nearly as much Damage as simcraft says I should be. Its about 20k for 30 seconds and then around 4-5 minutes sits around 14k to 11k. Ilvl 637 mage. 17% Multistrike 15 %Crit 26 % Mastery. Frost mage with Icy Veins talents.

To all those asking for settings and talents, Ive been using portal premium for a long time now and absolutely swear by it. This is what I'm currently using on my mage with the routine. I'm absolutely not saying its perfect or the best spec just simply what I'm currently using while I run hc's and questing etc. Hopefully its of some use to a few folks. And please no trolling the spec, Im only trying to help lol.

Seems to be a pause in the rotation...its only for like a sec or so but ya seems to be a short pause

Edit - no its letting it drop off. Also - just noticed bot is casting prismatic crystal BEFORE frozen orb - that's a waste of dps.

Will add some checks for IV and TV. You don't just spam IL to keep IV up though, there's conditions around it.

Crystal before Orb is better to give time to cast Frostbomb and/or Ice Nova before spamming ice lance at target. Otherwise it just wastes FoF procs.

Just need to reload on spec change, not talents or glyphs.

As Arcane, the routine is performing very poorly for me, specifically in PVP. I'm comparing it to last season, where the rotations were much better. Is this something that needs to be optimized, something I'm doing wrong, or possibly just the fact that classes were rebalanced and Mage is lower on the pole?

Simcraft only takes into account absolutely perfect fight conditions, using all pots/flasks/food, cooldowns (like time warp), pre-pot, never moving, target never moving, target dropping below 20% HP (execute range) etc. The profiles need a decent amount of editing before you can get realistic results from simcraft.

Hi Millz, it doesn't seem to be doing any kiting which results in very fast deaths vs many questing elites. I have movement enabled but it seems to still want to suicide walk into enemies :(. Any ideas?

There's no kiting in Portal. It causes way too many death's by walking into the agro range of other units in the area. In most cases, it's 'safer' to just stand there and take the beating.
 
Millz would you be able to upload your file that you saved for the rotation etc with what talents you are using?

I'm using default PvE file at the moment.

My talent/glyph setup is something like this: Warlords of Draenor Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

Depending on the fight I'll switch out FB with IN.

I control cooldowns using the cooldown hotkey. That's pretty important to time when to use stuff.

Hey Again.

I was the one that posted about the FoF procs and incanters.

What I meant was, is it possible to save FoF procs for when Incanters Flow is above 4 stacks :)

But seeing the new sims, Frost prob. wont be used much..

I was thinking about arcane, will it attempt to spam Arcane Blast at the end of the fight?
Since its the highest DPS, but cant sustain mana, but optimally you will be at 0 mana from spamming arcane blast, when the fight ends right?
