Honorbuddy Bans Statement

This is the latest response from Customer Support:
My name is Game Master Sadoryann, and I did the Final Review on your appeal in regards with your account suspension.

And going over the logs again I can see that you were using a 3rd party program to automate your character(s) actions and movement.

Still using such programs is a serious offence against the Terms of Use, such is your case this suspension will not be overturned.

We now view this case fully closed, so please do not send in more tickets in regards of this as the reply will not differ or your ticket maybe abandoned without any response at all.

I had some things I still wanted to do in the game (get some more pets and mounts, level some professions) so I'm going back to multiboxing. Nothing automated about that, oh no, not much, lol. And using that addon that gives me all the gather nodes and most efficient routes. No extra advantage over other players there, right? Maybe I'll even use all those Auction House addons for a change, and start really messing with the economy. That ought to keep me entertained until HB is back up. 6-month vacation? No problem.

I got the same generic response. Weird that they did over 100,000 players for doing the same thing. I was fishing in everbloom, i did have HB turned on but was not doing anything with it. I am 100% sure they did a scan that showed a list of running tasks on your computer and saw HB and or other third party stuff running in that Task list. Remember, they don't show you or anyone else the so called details of what or how they got the third party running info.

Most likely, yes...
They probably decided to kill HB after the law suit lost in Germany against Bossland.
Plus the fact that they now sell gold with their tokens, I think that they will be much harder with gold farmers/sellers.
They really don't care about fairplay/gameplay, but when money is involved, they suddenly know what to do to fight bots ^^

Hello everyone,

Finally I am banned :cool:.
I have started botting after LK.
I love Honorbuddy, its the best bot ever build.
I would have stopped playing WoW a long time ago if it wasnt for Honorbuddy to do allot of stuff for me :)
I dont think they detected the bot, they did something much more easy if you ask me.
to detect honorbuddy on a computer, you have to do some real deal programming. Why would they, if you can just buy a bot, buy every single exstension and log whatever it does. everything in wow is logged anyway, so then just find simulair movement, paths, way of casting ect. I wont be supprised if some ppl that dont even bot are banned aswell. also in some countries its elegal to scan anyones computer even if they stated it in there terms and conditions. I might be all wrong, but this is what i think.

its time for me to move on. I wont be playing WoW without my lovely Honorbuddy!

Hello my fellow gamers and botters, First off i want to say THANK YOU HB for everything you did, guys much <3 to all the hard work you put to let us the community enjoy and zillion year old game, i definitely add my voice to Razor457, honestly i would have quit wow a loooooong time ago if it hadn't been for HB.
I will never return if HB doesnt return, screw blizzard its their loss, and good luck in future endeavors my fellow gamers, its been a pleasure :)
 
i logged into another account tied to the account i got banned and my bank is still whole. nothing deleted. can't vouch for the toons on the account obviously
 
I also got done today..told a few mates that have been whining about the game for a while now (they have no idea I bot) and they have quit the game after this months up too.

To me its a marketing ploy seeing as they just lost 3 million. They are trying to inflate sub numbers for their investors with all the re-subs they get.
Problem is that most people are bored and without botting...its a boring game.
I've had 2 days off now and its like a weight off me having to log in daily to do stupid boring shit like...I was going to say garrison but really I mean everything.
Really I've done fuck all this expansion and all they have done is pull the plug where I couldn't be bothered.
From what I hear q times are up, some guilds are folding because of the bans, bg q's are up etc....
Can you imagine all the bad healers and tanks in game atm lol

anyway its been fun and I truly thank Handnavi for his epic druid routine and Attilio for his disc priest one. Thanks also to the buddy team. Its been a great program with great support.

Wow this sucks. I haven't played for a while and was just about to renew. I wonder how they detected it though...on some games I've played simply file pumping the hack and placing it in a folder like firefox would be enough to avoid detection.

Needless to say, no way I'm resubbing now without HB working lol
 
I just had my post deleted but in it i said HB lost its battle with blizzard and to me i believe that HB had to deliver its botting methods or loose more money. If any of you read that yahoo post blizz won a 7 million dollar suit against hb to me thats basically all the money hb made if not pretty close to it. So to avoid loosing anymore they gave up and allowed blizzard to find us. This is my opion plz dont take it to heart but i seriously thinkt he days of botting that game are very over. If i were you id go find another game to play that doesnt require botting and loosing money. good luck to you all.

courts are public, so are outcomes / results / verdicts.

If hb gave up anything we knew it by now.

HB isnt Bosslands only bot.... its only the damn wow bot. Nothing else.

Blizzard Entertainment has won a lawsuit against a World of Warcraft bot company for $7 million.

According to a report on GamesIndustry, the suit was originally filed by Blizzard Entertainment against Ceiling Fan Software in December 2011. Ceiling Fan Software was allegedly behind a number of World of Warcraft bots, including Shadow Bot and Pocket Gnome.

dude that was in 2013 and it wasn't against HB
 
I would really like to know if they would be willing to keep going. I took a break after the huge bans at the start of MOP. Do I believe that HB wasn't detectable..... Well no. I lost about 15 accounts during that 4 months at the start of MOP, but I came back knowing that it was a risk no matter what anyone says about detection. I would like to keep going just for fun. If not I will love to see what happens when the funds that we farmed aren't coming in. The cost of most mats last night were up 50%, Ques up and we will see about Tokens. This will be fun to see what happens, but if they plan to scrape it I would like to know so I stop coming to the forums to get updates.

Without Honorbuddy I would never have enjoyed WoW as much as I did. I met some great friends whilst using HB -most of which it transpired, over time, shared with me that they also used HB! I made a lot of Gold over the course of my HB career, mostly for personal gain, never selling, and I have (and hopefully it will still be there in November!) more than 1.5M gold.

Without HB I will not enjoy HC and Mythic Raiding (I am too old, and do not have the time nor the care to execute at that level). Without HB I will not Raid, and I will not enjoy the community and laughs me and my Guild shared through WoD (and SoO, where most of us met). Without HB I know many other players will never return to WoW; WoW is a chore at the most of times, everything feels obligated and without a bot I am old enough to recognise [WoW] as a frustration.

So thank you HonorBuddy team, it was amazing while it lasted and I am sorry to see you close your doors but understand the reasoning.

I wish Bossland and all of the community of developers and customers alike the best of luck in life!
