Honorbuddy Bans Statement

Perhabs. If a bot is up and running ;) If not, no no. Anyway, I only came back cause of WoW Token. Unsubbed in March, cause WoD is boring as hell even WITH a bot, resubbed 3 weeks past, thought ok for no effort. Botting since cata and only resubbed cause with hb could get rid of the "boring" stuff to do. Had a break from PDC in Wrath until uh the last raid in cata (forgotten the name).
 
1 week before the ban time i have stg diffrent in my computer, that one of my program in my computer is using my internet like i am downloading stg.. i search every program that can use it but cant find which prgram was using it, after a comp restart my conection is turn to normal and stop using it... maybe blizard use bnet program for searching computer?
 
As with most people I got the big banhammer (for 6 months), on 8 accounts, 7 of which actually deserved it. My main account which I haven't injected into since late MOP (when I first heard about Honorbuddy) also got hit. I do have honorbuddy on my main PC but run almost all of my bots on a second PC.

Haven't heard back about my appeal but I hold little hope. I'm a little peeved that I lost my main account as the account was "innocent" but I guess I underestimated the risk. Loss of the account is no big deal, but being the main tank of a small guild of friends...that talk is going to be very little fun...I was actually out for the night for a concert so I didn't mysteriously disappear like others but they straight up cancelled raid because I wasn't going to be there...guilt trip city.

Some of my banned accounts actually have not been active for months, so it may be that my active bots got detected then they nailed the rest by association? I'm not sure how but I'm no professional botter so I may have slipped up at some point and connected the accounts by some obscure method.

Anyway, I commend the Buddy Team for the great job dodging Blizzard's detection methods for so long, most of us knew the good days wouldn't last forever and it's sad that it has finally come. I appreciate the honesty and the prompt announcement, I'm extremely curious as to how Blizzard pulled this off and am looking forward to hearing the results of Bossland's investigations in the coming weeks.
 
So anyone here got both banned using 2 different battlenet accounts? For example bot on one while playing normally on other and both got banned? Were your wow accounts always on same battlenet account?

I suspect they've been watching us for quite some time. Then they released the token, let all of us botters stock up on game time, and then hit us with the banhammer. This way they have sufficient evidence, should they need it (which they won't) and they aren't losing money because so many of us were paid up through that six month period. Personally, I only bought one token at a time, but I know plenty of people who bought a year's worth of tokens (or more).

No I have 3 wow accounts on 1 battle.net account, 2 of my botting accounts got banned (6 months) the other account is fine as I do not bot at all on it.

i didnt buy wow tokens and i got ban so wow tokens wasnt the problem, we've got full scan pc, they've banned all my bnet account and one of this i didnt use for more than 1 year...
 
I got really lucky. I only botted on my trial account recently and my main account was spared. Sorry for all your account losses guys, and good luck to the HB team to bring it back online. I'll still be here using your other bots :D

That's not what I meant. I mean if you have 2 separate battlenet accounts with 1 wow account in each. Can they link between these battlenet accounts and ban both wow accounts assuming only one wow account is being botted?

If they did that. And if one of the bnet account is 100% genuinely no botted on, then Bnet mustve snooped around our comps. Different emails, different bnet accounts should be separate issue and no way in hell Bnet should treat them as a single entity.

I'm no law genius, but I do not think that this can be allowed. I love the game, and I will still subscribe, and very likely will still bot when a new release is available, but we cannot allow Bnet to take information from client side without us agreeing to it. :o

I would assume that the botted one would be banned and the non-botted one will be fine. That's my guess.
 
A review of the action has been completed. We have confirmed our initial findings, and the action will not be reversed or changed. Your account stays suspended for 6 month, until the 11/13/2015.

We understand that you may still have concerns regarding the action, but we must reiterate that it was taken to address a violation of the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation), which all players accept before logging into the game.

No answer to my question why i have been banned...
 
I only read the first few pages. and I can tell you it isn't from this week or anytime. I got a 6month banned on an account that been actitive non-stop for 10 years. I've been on vacation for a month visiting my family and haven't even logged into WoW for a month, also before I left I had a RAF account that I used to lvl my characters to 85 in a day, with my main account it is untouched and within the last month that all I did was lvling character for 6.2. So I am saying maybe it was if you ever triggered a tripwire, my 2nd acct hasnt but my main has once. I also ran the bot farming more on my 2nd account that only been created 2 months.... Not sure why my main got hit, and my 2nd left untouched.

Edit: TL:DR bad English sorry

Main account 10 years banned, havent logged on b.net over a month. Has tripped Tripwires

2ND account 2 months not touched, have been on b.net farming. Hasn't tripped Tripwires.

Thanks for the post Honorbuddy team :-)

Got all 5 accounts banned for 6 months.

Tried to appeal for 3 of them, but got declined this time (last month I got all 5 back on appeal).

One support staff wrote that they had my IP on numerous logs with activity clearly being botting - I have been questing, garrisonboss and dungeonbuddy and really tried to mix it up by change accounts every 1-1½-2 hours and different characters, and not being online for abnormal amount of time each week, and also make fake whispers and guildchat. :-) :-)

So guess I'm gonna have to level 90-100 the "manual" way for 6 months he he

Also - guess you could use some resources on Buddywing and fix questing for that for the timebeing :-)
 
I'm starting to find a common denominator here. Never had any problems before and only used routines for raiding but a while ago had a trial for garrisonbot. Can anyone confirm they got banned and never used it?
 
Something happens and it wasnt in the last days. My olds farmer account are still alive and i didn't play them since march 2015.
