it might be not an detection my banned accounts where all happened with kicks quest profiles i questbotted 8 hours a day nonstop to make gold 20k evry 4 days but i never got banned for using enyo and my routines and manually moving i think the questing part is verry detected

I was the same as you, i quit afk botting quite some time ago except a bit of Ashran botting, and thats it just enyo and my CR's and my movement

Bossland et al,

A strong suggestion. Do not give us a release yet. Find what went wrong first. Re-establish some sense of trust in the software. It's better to wait another week or two and get a better product than for us to get hit again. Stop worrying about the screamers who are begging for the bot to launch. Another week or even two will not kill us. But you coming out with a solid bot will put a hole in Blizz. They want to finish you off.

My view is different than most. They want you in a really bad position. That is no more funds coming in and still having to spend money in the courts. If you launch now, and allow yourself to make some more funds but you get detected again your rep will die and no one will buy the bot going forward. If you wait and find out what happened and then release you will be in a much better position as it may take Blizz a much longer time to find a way to hit us again. We all know nothing is 100% guaranteed but giving in to whiners at this point will surely kill the bot if we get detected once more.

This is my opinion. I believe we were detected. How I have no clue but I believe we were. I did very little botting in the past few weeks. One 8 hr stretch of farming fur every 3 to 4 days and some garrison. It's not time related in the sense of tons of hrs as I probably botted 15-20 hrs a wk tops probably less.

Just don't do the release. Find out what went wrong and fix it. Releasing the bot now serves no real purpose unless you have a working solution to the problem. I recall times past where a month would be reasonable for something of this magnitude. Now one week and we going crazy.

If they dont know what exactly happened, what does waiting 2 weeks more give them? Or 5 weeks? Are they suddenly going to get intel and poof, we know how to resolve the issue? Only by releasing it again and then trying to see how Blizzard is working against them can they progress. This is a business after all. No one forces you or anyone else to bot. If they have no answer this is the only logical step.

I personally was stupid in my botting, i let ashran run for hours, i level'd afk and etc... I will only CR while doing all movement. I'm also going to interrupt on my own in pvp to reduce that risk. All of this on another account. I enjoy playing with a CR and don't have the patience to WOW again without it. I'm totally OK with proceeding with Bossland's "best effort" approach. If i get another 4+ years before being caught again it will be totally worth it.

i hope in the future get the bots improved so they well be hard to detect, we need something to be changed not just adjusting the Tripewire wont help much for example from normal antivir vs trojjaner and "real" maleware the antivir software is most of time the slower one ( the image is a small simple how not easy to catch things rip Tripwire )

nice post but i think you don't understand what bossland is saying. there is nothing more they can do to determine how it was detected. if it was some time-limited malware they injected into the client then the only way to determine that is to catch it red handed so to speak, and blizzard won't have the malware active when honorbuddy is not even enabled. HB simply has to be renabled and hope that the new tripwire detects whatever was used in this detection, but blizzard might then also do their own analysis to try and circumvent the updated tripwire. blizzard holds all the cards now, all bossland can do is what they are doing which is to hit and hope, if blizzard can strike us with another wave and it beats the tripwire a second time then it's goodnight nurse.

make no mistake, this is worst case scenario for the devs, i would almost feel bad for them if they hadn't ignore the blatant issue of battleground bots ruining an entire aspect of the game.

How about more time to figure it out??? It's called research. It's called studying time. They are under pressure by the community to answer. Take your time Bossland. Don't be rushed by fools. Do your due diligence.

It worries me that the Honorbuddy team doesn't know for sure why they hit us, but I'm very thankful for the honesty.

If keeping on looking might help figure out how they caught us then I'd rather wait 1 month+ for this than get banned again.

Anyways thanks for the transparency and keep up the good work :)

Edit:
If it has to do with actually having to catch any malware redhanded then I guess we just hope the tripwire is up to the challenge!

So how do you improve something if you don't know what you need to improve? I believe it's pressure more than anything.

Agreed. 100%. Too many people have itchy trigger fingers and these are he same people who will curse HB after saying they were used as ginea pigs by HB.

I have been around this for a really long time. If it is time you need to figure this out take all the time you need. Too many noobs in here wanting to bot at all cost. Do what you need to do. Take your time.

Again you aren't giving concrete benefits from a business perspective why they would. Clearly they feel based on the latest review that there isn't other data that they can hope to get that will "figure it out" as you put it. Its basically purgatory for them as they are stuck. They can either shut down their business, deal with the pressure of people who've paid good money, not just for the bot but for the huge new buddystore and the addons there and hope for some sign from God as to what happened or they can turn it back on and hope that by putting their product out again they can find and detect the issue.

You as a botter don't have to start again. You are more than welcome to not use this latest version, see how this goes and then determine at what time you resume botting. So i'm not sure why this affects you so much. Just dont bot till they give you enough assurances that its fine. It should be a choice. Right now there is no choice and Bossland is fixing that and I'm happy about that.

Bossland.....don't give in to these idiots. Time has shown us time and again that it's better to take your time than to move with too much haste and open yourself up to another banwave. I have seen you sit on a release a lot longer than this for a lot less a reason such as a new update. This is something far more important. Take your time.

Greetings Buddies,

We will soon release Honorbuddy again - we expect it to be by the end of this week.

Its been a week since we closed down the authentication servers for Honorbuddy. In this time, we tried to figure out what happened. We must say that we have no idea what really happened and all we have are speculations.

We speculate, that at some point, Blizzard used parts of the World of Warcraft client that acted in a hidden manner like malware. Then they scanned everything they could scan on a given computer and flagged the ones they thought were operating against their TOS/EULA. They are fine to install any such malware-type hidden software at any given time according to their End User Agreement.

There have been rumours, spread by Blizzard, that over 100,000 WOW Accounts have been banned during the ban wave on 13th May 2015 and that they are most likely all Honorbuddy users. We have to dispute this; there has never been that many active Honorbuddy users. We are still unaware if this was a real detection or some shady malware that was injected into everyones computer for a short period of time.

Be aware that we have not seen the cause of the bans. We have an anti-malware and anti-detection tool called Tripwire that aims to identify unexpected behaviour by gaming companies. We can just try to make sure, that the next time something shady has been done, that Tripwire detects it. Tripwire is the only hope we can rely on right now; it has been improved and hopefully will watch over your shoulder much better now.

Again, we will give no guarantee and we have never given a guarantee, that our software is immune to detection or bans.

At the time of my 9 year old account getting banned. I put a ticket as they were expecting me to pay my recurring sub for the 6 months. After that issue was sorted, a blizzard employee slipped up and told me "Honorbuddy wouldn't of got detected it it didn't throw out so many errors. These errors include hidden Lua Errors from the WoW client and a shit tonn of Registry Errors." After they told me that, I did a registry test and checked the error entries and I must say that Honorbuddy is all over everything. Not sure how you would tweak this to be invisible to registry and Lua, but it is deffinately something to check out. I am sure if anyone who has windows 7/8 and has been running Honorbuddy, they should search for MSInfo32, save it as a .txt and find honorbuddy listings. This is one of the things blizzard picked up on. However, majority of the banned accounts where because of the battlegrounds/pvp bot base which triggered the banning of people who never pvp'ed with honorbuddy and other botting programs.

i think they are experienced enough to know if more time would be beneficial to them, but i see your point

Yes they are to some degree but I also know from my past experience how yancy a bot maker is to get going again let alone the pressure from the community. This is their first real banwave per say and how they react to it is critical. Many bots do not survive their first wave. Two banwaves is virtually a death to any bot.

Wow, so I'm an idiot for posting a reasonable thought process and asking you to actually back up your posts? I'm an idiot for asking why a new release affects your stance of not botting when you can like, i dunno just NOT bot. I guess when people ask you to give reasoning and think like a grown up then we're idiots. Very glad Bossland is NOT listening to you. Its incredible that you assume you know more than the creators of the product and what they can find without knowing any of what they are looking at, but hey i guess they are idiots compared to you as well. No one named demondog could be less than a genius.

Goodluck in your silly posts as I will disengage from you on this one smart guy.

Never said you. Just said people asking for bot.

can't wait for it to be released, but I also don't mind waiting longer for extra safety, in my opinion you guys did catch what ever they did with one of those tripwire events that happened and that was why they did it multiple times so that they could flag who they thought were actually doing it.

Every one is in a hurry and ive been talking with frost and others about what they think and to me i personally never seen sucha bad hit before. That being said im not opposed to waiting for them to figure it out but im also not happy with the info that they supplied. I know blizz has spies in our forums and maybe thats why bossland isnt telling us they know what it is. Or maybe there are other reasons. All im saying is when HB is back up let the people that are to impatient go ahead and test the fields. I myself am in no hurry to get banned and HB get hit again. So wait for those to try it out if it seems safe then by all means do it up but give it time for god sakes to get this right there are other bots that run your rotation trust me i looked. So yes you loose leveling and everything else but if you want to raid by all means look into those other bots.
