HearthbuddyBeta GvG Release Thread

So the bot "crashes" after a game or two where it just sits there waiting for time to run out. I usually just minimize hearthstone while the bot is playing and then I see on the upper left of my screen the windows prompt to close or restore. I click on restore and it brings up hearthstone and what appears to be a strange fast forwarding of past turns where you see the bot not playing any cards and I hear the rope timer exploding over and over. Anyone reported anything like this yet?

The game must not be minimized. All our bots require the game to be actively rendering to work.t I'll try to make this more clear in our guides.

So I was watching my game and the bot made a really silly mistake turn 4-6 can't remember (imo). Bot generally makes bad trades once inawhile from what I see. Is this fixable atm?

Quest Plugin Guide

1. It's recommended to make a new configuration used specifically for questing to avoid inconveniences with the plugin and unsupported game modes.

2. From the "Plugins" tab, click on the "Quest" plugin, followed by placing a checkmark in the "Enable Plugin" checkbox, and then click on the "Config" button.

3. Change the settings as needed. By default, the plugin will stop after all quests are completed.

4. In order to use the plugin, change the "Game Mode" for DefaultBot to "Constructed". The plugin will only change the decks used to complete the quests, so change the Mode to "Ranked" or "Casual" as you need. In addition, enable the "Keep Constructed Rank/MMR" if you want to auto-concede to avoid ranking up too much after winning.

Click Start to being botting. The bot will cache quests and then proceed to complete them. While the plugin has been tested locally to ensure it works, please report any issues or bugs with full logs in the Support forums.

The plugin (and this thread) is currently for the Beta version of Hearthbuddy. You are most likely using the stable Release version.

Why the new version is changing my custom decks? I put "Custom mage", next it play with the deck named "Custom Mage", and the next game is just another random deck. Why? lol

Sounds like you might have the new quest plugin enabled. It will change decks in order to complete quests for different classes.

Any chance that the spare parts from GvG be fixed? The specially problematic ones are the swap and time rewind. The AI seems to think it has to play them if there's mana. Turning an Acolyte of pain into a 3/1 should not happen ever. You may say them not to use cards that give them but them there are mechanical yetis out there just to ruin your day.

Is re-cachering everytime I open the bot, and it's so fucking annoying, please, how to remove this? Because the check box isn't open to uncheck!

For now, it has to. There's no other (safe) way to know the current deck contents unless you open them via the collection manager.

We cannot rely on users doing the right thing to avoid that issue or manually keep track of their decks themselves. It's a slight inconvenience, but the data is necessary to help advanced the features we provide.

We will keep user feedback in mind, and look for a way to re-use the data for a certain time frame to avoid that issue, but that's just not in place yet.

We'll put this on the todo list. We have someone working to understand Silverfish better to be able to fix issues like those in the long run, but it's a time consuming process and there's no "quick fix" for those things.

All quests completed, why my bot choose random deck?

Did you disable the "Stop After All Quests Are Completed" option? If so, re-enable it, and the bot will stop after all your quests are done.

Add a line we can simply change from true to false in the default DefaultRoutine.cs for both the checking of quests and cacheing decks.

I'm very much able to remember wben i make changes to my decks, and i dont use the questing feature so its just a big footprint for the bot as it is now.

Reset button on Auto-stop settings crashes my Hearthbuddy. Is it happening to anyone else?
